Absolutely
horrendous:
They are rude, unhelpful &completely useless, and seem to have a complete
disregard for tenants' rights. (I've given one star because theres no option to leave zero).
I don't know why the landlords of each property pay these people because they
do absolutely nothing. First of all, they just give out our numbers and expect
us to organise viewings for the next set of tenants. After a sea of texts from people
I just asked them to organise it with Jackson Property because I was very busy
with uni work. I then got a call from one of the staff who rudely asked why
someone had gone to them for a viewing and she then demanded another contact
number to give out to people, as if it was completely outrageous that they, an estate
agent, had to organise viewings. But that's just the start
In the space of a few months I'd been to their office, called twice and sent an
email about the appalling damp in the flat. As a result of their lack of action, the wall paper has completely
fallen off in one room (revealing a layer of mould) and is just covered in
mould in another. They've only
just organised for someone to come round. (I'm half expecting them not to show
up).
If that wasn't bad enough, there was a leak from our bathroom to the flat below
so builders came and ripped up the bathroom floorboards (as well as doing other
damage to the bath panels and other minor things). So we were left with a
rotten floor completely covered in mould. They said they would be back to
finish fixing it up the next day and we couldn't use the shower till then. It got to about 2oclock the next day and I
rang Jackson property to make sure the builders were coming back. I was told
they would be back in a few weeks and to just use the shower. That was over 2
months ago, I've heard nothing since. I can only assume they believe we have a
magic bathroom that rebuilds its floorboards.
(They also gave someone keys to the flat
to install a screen by the bath, without informing me or my flatmate which is
simply not allowed. We were both out when this happened and the only reason we
noticed is because something had mysteriously appeared in the bathroom).
To top it all off, someone came round last week to fix our boiler which was
apparently broken since before we moved in. After completely disabling it, he said he'd be
back the next day to finish fixing it. Guess what? Yep, he's still not returned
and we've had no heating or hot water nearly a week. I emailed them and have
had no reply.
Charging an agency fee of over £100 and with rent of 320 month this is outright unacceptable. Ia m absolutely livid and cannot wait to move out.
They are worse than Unite
for getting things done and I very much assume they will try to completely rip
us off just as much when it comes to returning our deposits. read more
