I've been here two or three times to eat and it's quite nice. The sandwiches here are hearty as well as their bowls of soup. I've also had afternoon tea here too which was tasty and not expensive. The prices here are very reasonable, so it's a nice breakfast and lunch spot. I didn't notice, but my husband was quick to comment when we sat down that the crowd here is mostly pensioners on a weekday. I'd happily eat here again. Make sure to grab a rewards card when you're here if you're local; they'll give you a free hot drink after several hot drink purchases.

I always stock up on bedding plants here in the Summer, they have a great selection of healthy plants, or ready made pots and baskets to bring lots of colour to your garden. The prices are much cheaper than the bigger stores and I think the plants are better cared for here. The staff are friendly and really helpful if you need advice on which plants would grow best in your garden. A tradional Nursery / Garden Centre with lots to offer every kind of gardener or plant lover.

The owner and his lovely team of staff do everything they possibly can to help. Deliveries can be organised and advice sought when needed. We are currently setting up a small holding and needed lots of advice about trees for the area we have just moved to, which is luckily just sup the road from the nursery, and we have been helped magnificently. That it has a lovely café for coffee and cream scones is simply the icing on the cake :-)

From what I have observed, they have a generous selection of garden related items; this is what hit me most when I first entered. It is quaint with out houses and barns surrounding the car park and there's a rather nice little cafe which was very busy; clearly people visit more for the tea and cakes than the pansies, as with regard to it's "nursery and garden centre" appellation is unrealised. There is a large piece of land with around ten parallel sunken beds filled with pretty average bedding plants, the colour is muted and the area is somewhat barren resembling an infertile allotment rather than a garden centre. A huge greenhouse contains pretty much nothing: a depressingly sparse range of greetings cards beside a shelf of urns; some organic eggs; a few planters and peculiarly a bookcase of second hand fiction: a strange concoction of goods which does not quite match any requirements. While I was not there to buy, I still felt that the range was very limited and the offerings were poor. The site is pretty inaccessible for those without a vehicle and to go out of your way to come here is pretty pointless

Beautiful flowers, always fresh and put together brilliantly. An experienced florest who can put arrangements together to order, and whilst you're there. You can also get valuable advice from the people who really know how to care for plants and flowers. For those of you who buy flowers from supermarkets, it really is worth spending a few pennies more, the difference in quality is incredible. Also stocks a range of exotic flowers. They can usually deliver the same day if orders are received by 12noon.

However the bouquet I was handed looked a mess. A mish mash of all different colours, no coordination and the cheapest carnations etc in the shop. I am no flower expert but they didn't look great and I was ashamed to have to hand them over on behalf of colleagues who has put money into a collection. Outside there is a court yard which is stocked with gardening equipment, plants and garden furniture. A nice little shop and worth a look if you don't fancy the trek to B&Q or Homebase.
