My first ever Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp game! It was so much fun! I went with a few friends and we got great seats. It was for Filipino Heritage Night and I loved how they represented the Filipino culture with the Filipino honorary consult getting to throw the first pitch and then having the Filipino national anthem song as well. They also had a Filipino food truck there called Sa Mesa, which is always so delicious so we got that for dinner and watched the game. The seats were nice and shaded, which I appreciated and the stadium is clean and nice. I ended up catching a ball, which was so exciting and very memorable! We ended up winning and it was so much fun and I will definitely be back for another fun night here! read more

1st game of the season for us as they faced off the Nashville Sounds on June 4th and it was fun, the fans really enjoyed it even though our home team did not win. The staff is very organized, quite friendly as they guided guests to their seats and the bar was quick on ordering our food and drinks. Today we partook in the last game of the season, a double header at that. Then enjoyed the evening fireworks . As a former Chicago resident there was nothing like Harry Caray and his antics. I attended my first Jumbo Shrimp baseball game last week and enjoyed the lovely Spring weather. Lots of parking nearby but a little challenging to get to the fairground lot using Google Maps due to all of the construction in the area. We sat near the Tiki Bar behind third base and the fowl ball pole. My view was obstructed due to the advertisements on the foul ball pole, but I still enjoyed the game. We went on Thirsty Thursdays so Bud Light was $2. I normally do not drink Bud Light however my first drink was a seltzer which cost $11 so I switched to Bud Light lol. I had a hot dog and tasted my friends pretzel which were both satisfying. The vibe was chill inside the stadium, at least where I sat. The ticket prices were very reasonable. Glad to be back watching live baseball. The Jumbo Shrimp are now the triple A affiliate for the Marlins. So not only are we getting better baseball but we also get to see new teams. Gone are the Montgomery Biscuits, Pensacola Blue Wahoos, and Birmingham Barons. Now we get to watch the Durham Bulls, Memphis RedBirds, and Nashville Sounds. Like most purists, we were surprised at the name change but have come to accept it. We were blessed with a relatively mild weather day even at the end of May. I grew up playing and going to baseball games from a very early age. It's a part of me that has an influx of childhood memories. Watching baseball isn't for everyone, but it's certainly for me. General admission tix are only $5 a person! Or splurge for assigned seats for $9 (I like sitting in the front row in right field.) The stadium has really stepped up their game this year with concessions- finally not every food option is fried. There's also a lot of bars that serve liquor if beer isn't your thing. Plenty of staff to help direct you around the park, and there's hardly a bad seat in the house. My fav event is when it's Bark in the Park (aka Canines & Crustaceans) and you are allowed to bring your dog to the park! It's a blast for you and your pup. If you are looking for a fun casual night out with friends or family (and maybe your dog!) make sure to check out a Jumbo Shrimp game. Who wouldn't want to say they went to a Jumbo Shrimp game?! They have a selection of shrimp items on the menu and they throw out fake shrimp to the fans. Yes! I got to come here and take a tour with my sons school for a field trip. It was a beautiful day and it is located right across the street from the EverBank field. We toured the dug out, conference room and we are lunch in the stands. They provided hot dogs with ketchup, mustard and pickle relish and soda. The hot dog was hot and tasty. The staff here showed great pride in their work and we enjoyed listening to how the place ticks. Opening night is April 11 and the season runs through September. The most interesting bit of information I learned was that on family night you can come out prior to the game and play catch with your family, friends or kids and after the game you can run the bases! Now we have a triple A team and they are really good. Marketing and promotions for the Shrimp are really good. Games keep the fun going by getting the fans involved between innings. Attended my first Jumbo Shrimp game last night and had a blast! Parking was easy ($10) and there wasn't any difficulty finding our seats in section 103 behind home plate. I would definitely recommend this section as it was in the shade, and also provided cover from unexpected rainfall toward the end of the game. The "bang bang" type shrimp wasn't very good- tasted like frozen shrimp covered in bang bang sauce- not worth $12. Ice cream portions were large and a good value for the price. It was very kid friendly, my 5yo had a great time and didn't feel cooped up as there was plenty of room to roam around and cheer. We will definitely be back. read more

I went last night to my first Jumbo Shrimp game and it was a great experience. First, I love the fact that it does not take much planning. I saw there was a game, it was my birthday, I asked some friends and we went. We bought tickets at the stadium and even though it was one of the first games of the season we only waited 10 minutes or so. Getting in is pretty easy. One guy will check bags and another guy will scan your ticket. Zing, you are in! Thursdays are a very important day for the Jumbo Shrimp, because it is Thirsty Thursdays. That means that you can get a 12oz Bug Light for $1 dollar and a 24oz Bud Light for $2 dollars. That is pretty darn awesome. The line for beer can be a tad long....okay it is really long. But you can pretty much watch the game from line, so it isn't a big deal. There are tons of different food vendors, but I didn't eat at the game. You can get your standard baseball game foods, pretzels, popcorn, hot dogs and sausages, and soda. The game itself is fairly fast moving. Most seats are really good too. We got General Admission seats for $7 dollars and there are different areas where you can sit. I really liked the grass area. You can bring a blanket and lay out. Some Shrimp baseball players sit right there and they interact with fans. A game is great for kids, dates, work events, and hanging with friends. I highly suggest a game! read more

How cool that we are Triple A again. We went last week and 2 of the Stripers (Braves), Contreras and Acuna (rehabbing) are now back in the majors as of last night.
