The staff don't speak English very well, but they speak the language of chocolate, and that translates very well. The chocolates themselves are insanely good. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly host who guided us through their entire selection of chocolate as well as what chocolate Switzerland was known for. He was also kind enough to let us all sample 2 chocolates. Our group ended up buying 40+ pieces across the 4 of us, which we readily consumed over the next 2 days. Each piece was as rich and unique as was described, and certainly gave us a good start to our Switzerland chocolate experience.

Our favourites are the small strawberry tarts, the nut cakes and the brewed pears tart (raisinée in French). The slices of bread with a topping, for instance salmon or cheese (tête de moine in French), are yum too. There is another shop from Laurent Buet in the area which has a tearoom as well. Service is always very friendly and the prices are averaged.

Yelp Review 2026 #157:…read more I had already went to Laduree in Montreux in the morning. Lausanne isn't far from Montreux but I went to Laduree Lausanne even though I already got macarons. This location is bigger and cuter than the one in Montreux. I got finger patisserie in pistachio, and chocolate caramel hazelnut, and a jar of chestnut cream. I also got a cute pink coffee cup and a tote bag because I picked up some chocolates and the paper bags were heavy they started ripping. The macaron flavors are the same for the whole country. The only difference for this location is that they can print "Lausanne" on your macaron for an extra 0.80CHF. I didn't need any more macarons though as I still have 2 unopened boxes of them from Montreux. The desserts from Laduree are always good. Service was ok.
