Sarah captures a moment, a feeling and emotion in her photos. I first met Sarah while volunteering at The Humane Society of Pinellas, where she photographs our dogs, and I have been volunteering with the cats for many years. I LOVED her photography and we connected and I asked that she take our first family photos after my daughter was born. She was about 4 1/2 months old and Sarah kept her awake and smiling for 2 + hours. We had a blast being photographed by her and even better the pictures were amazing. Since then, Sarah has photographed our growing family while I was pregnant with my second child, doing a maternity photo shoot & she was also present at my son's birth and took photographs there. I have to say that having two home births one of the most important things is energy in the room. I didn't actually think about how high energy Sarah was at our family photo shoot and our maternity shoot; and how she is usually super high energy when photographing the dogs. I was actually a little bit concerned that she might come in and make me nervous at the last minute. Sarah was SO quiet it was like she wasn't even there. Until we were out of the birth tub and cleaned up and our birth team was starting to disassemble we didn't even really notice her presence. That is how versatile she is. She is so professional, that even though she desperately wanted to hold my baby she didn't once ask and I had to ask her to hold him as she so deserved it! Sarah brings the energy or calm to any shoot that she needs to. And the moments she captures, the way she sees a situation or a moment are absolutely one of a kind and truly beautiful. I would recommend Sarah for ANY type of photography you're looking for. If you want a portrait, family photos, kids photos, pet photos, sports, weddings, parties, or ANYTHING I have seen her do is gorgeous and memorable. Her photos are treasures that we will have for years to come and they captured fun and amazing one of a kind moments in our lives. I highly recommend Sarah and no matter what she will ALWAYS be our family's first choice to capture our precious moments.

Buyer beware! This person has a lot of overly priced hidden costs never explained before signing…read morethe contract. Actually, I think the costs are made up as she goes along. It was explained to us that the $3,900 we paid covered the wedding photos, engagement photos and copies of our photos on disc. This is what we expected. We thought that to be a tad pricey but she does take good photos. What we thought and what she tried to charge us after the engagement photos (holding our photos hostage) was a huge difference. She wanted $8,000 for the bare minimum. I am posting this to hopefully save another person the stress we are going through caused by this vendor. We had our engagement photos finally done. We asked the turn around so we could use the photos for our wedding invitations (this is in documented email with the photographer and our wedding planner). We set a date to review the photos. We were excited to see our photos and to move on the next step. While we were there we went through all 98 photos she took. We were picking out what would be in our engagement book and what picture to use for our screen print at the wedding. We went over by 30 minutes and my fiancé and I were going to be late for our dance lessons. We told her we needed to go. This is when she showed us the price. I was taken back. I wasn't sure what to say. I felt rushed since we were late for our dance lessons. I felt shocked because I didn't realize their was an extra cost for anything. I was shocked about the extra cost. When I said this, she said we had no rights to any of our images and then said she had no intention of giving us a disc with our images unless we spent more money. This would only be in low resolution and over $4,000. Even then, we apparently had no right to print our images unless through her. She said we couldn't even use a photo for our wedding invitations. I subtracted things from what we expected to get. It was still $4,200. She said she would not be able to place the order until the next week. In shock, I gave her the card. As the night went on I felt more sick about what just happened. The prices she showed us were insane. She never told us about these prices ahead of time or we would have hired someone else for our wedding. We immediately emailed her in the morning (less than 24 hours) to tell her not to place the order. She went back and forth via email and changed her prices multiple times. We were never given an invoice for any part and her prices continued to change. When we told her we were not informed of this and had to rethink using her services she became even more rude than when we first questioned her prices. She told us how we had no voice or choice about our photos. When we were trying to come up with an agreement to break ties, her prices and demands became even higher. She said she will not give us any of our $6,400 back but that we could pay the difference of the $98,000 if we want the 98 engagement photos on a high resolution disc. When we said that we don't accept, that this is absurd, that she keeps increasing the cost, she refused to give us anything. We are now forced to take her to court for the $6,400 she will not return. We are months before the wedding. She is adding a lot of stress. I don't want to see anyone else go through this. It is awful. It is not what you hope for when planning a wedding. You expect people to be honest and supportive. This is just crazy. I really, really feel bad for anyone who has to deal with this company as a paying client as we have. We now have to find a new photographer and figure out engagement photos in a short time on top of everything else during this crunch time. She also wasted our time for the shoot and our money as I spent money for hair, makeup, and nails that day. This entire interaction is insane and I wish we had gone through someone else initially.

Don't get me wrong. She is not cheap by any means, but this quality of photography is truly an investment. Brittany takes it the extra mile and makes it a beautiful experience. The photos are beyond incredible. While we chose an all digital package, she has some unique options for printing including farmhouse frames, these wood blocks that can be hung or stand on their own and prints with ripped edges. I am not sure if this is a typical thing or not but I've read that her assistant has been present during other photo shoots. The pictures after edits came out beautiful and I was happy with the majority of the pictures. One picture my thigh was extremely photoshopped to seem smaller but did appreciate all the bumps on my thighs being smoothed out. I don't regret doing the photo shoot because I have beautiful pictures that captured my pregnancy journey and this is going to be my one and only child. Prior to the session, Rachel made sure to let me know when I needed a break... At first I thought I could push through but I needed multiple breaks and Rachel has snacks and water handy. My mom and the father were included in the shoots and Rachel helped with poses for each pic. I think that Rachel picked up that the hammock shoot was not all coming together as what I had in mind so she did offer me an alternative look to use which came out great. She ensured that different poses were completed during the session. Rachel even took a picture of my mom solo which she didn't have to and it was a beautiful picture. I'm still a fan of Rachel (hence the Yay, I'm a Fan rating), but I also could see going with another photographer. First, she isn't super responsive in communication. There were a couple of times I had to both email and text her to get a response. One time she said she thought she emailed me back and didn't (these things happen), another time she had gotten into a car wreck earlier in the week, another she had surgery...I understand that these are all valid excuses, but they really started to add up. I'm type A and I like hearing back in a prompt manner so this took away from the experience a bit. Second, she doesn't have many props for her newborn photoshoot. I saw other people's photos where their babies are surrounded by things (like flowers.) Hers were mainly the baby and like a bucket (which is still super cute, but I also love when the babies are surround by things which add more depth to the photos.) One area where she really excels are her composite photos. She does a couple where the baby is superimposed on a backdrop. They are super unique and I love my Yoshi and bunny photos. I would choose this over props ten times over. I wish we had more family pictures, but that is a personal preference. We got tons of cute baby photos but not that many family ones. It seemed to be kind of tacked on the end. Overall, I love my pictures. I would definitely go with her again for newborn and maternity, but for just every day family pictures where there isn't as much creativity, I think my OCD nature would rather choose someone else.
