I drove up from Bolton for my granddad's 90th birthday, the meal of which was at Jade Garden. I've been to plenty of restaurants in the Manchester area and none of them match up to Jade Garden.
The staff were remarkably attentive, constantly ensuring we were refreshed with drinks. As for the food, it was absolutely stunning. There were 6 of us, who opted for one of the set meals. I'm a terribly fussy eater, so I was concerned I wouldn't like the crab meat soup for starters. How wrong was I? We were lavished with choice with the main meal, which contained beef satay, chicken in lemon and garlic prawns (this also included a massive container of fried rice, which the 6 of us didn't even manage to finish!). I must have eaten my own body weight in fish & meat, the food was that tender.
All in all, this place is a hidden gem in a small Fylde town. Next time I want a Chinese, I'm getting on the M61. Forget pretentious Manchester food! read more
