Let me start by saying the package I bought was from Groupon. I called to set up the appointment and we focused on what I wanted to decide where to shoot. Once we met, Jaime was so helpful and open to my ideas. She also had a ton of great spots at Balboa to go to. I paid extra to have more outfit changes and she was very accommodating. After my pictures were ready she sent them to me via e-mail and then told me my options. I ended up buying a disc with them all on it because I couldn't decide. Jaime Murray is the sh--! (not sure if I can say that on Yelp) :-) I live out of state and was planning a short trip to San Diego (where I am originally from), and a photo shoot for my business was a part of the agenda. I asked friends and went on FB to ask for recommendations. None of them actually struck me as the photographer I wanted to work with, so alas you can always count on Yelp, right? I reviewed MANY of the photographers, most had solid reviews, and I spent a lot of time reviewing each of their galleries on their respective websites. As soon as I came across Jaime's site and looked at her gallery, I knew she was the one! I reached out via email and I have one word to describe my experience: effortless. Jaime was accommodating and gave me several recommendations on where to schedule my shoot. I decided on the Renaissance Towne Center in UTC (where I lived when I was in SD)! As the time was approaching, I kept looking at the weather forecast, and it was scheduled to rain on the day of the shoot. Jaime once again, was easy to work with and gave me several options for the time I would be in town. It worked out perfectly. The real magic happened on the day of the shoot. I've recently experienced numerous health issues, and was not confident to take these photos. Jaime helped me to feel comfortable and natural. She asked me what I envisioned and came through with each request. Her ideas were also amazing, and when I received the proofs, I was like "Hello, I look good"! I first saw Jaime Murray Photography on Groupon ....didn't purchase right away as I contacted her first to see her availability etc. I was visiting from AZ only in the San Diego are for a period of time. No surprises. I did have to reschedule our original date but it wasn't a problem she was so easy to work with. Anyhow, we met on the beach for our family portrait (1 hour session) and had a great time. After she gave me all the details when to expect to my gallery online. As the date came for my gallery to available she sent me an email to say it will be delayed by a few days......so no problem, no surprised but it was only 1 day delayed from what she stated during our photo session. After seeing our gallery I was so impressed! I knew with the Groupon deal I would only get so many pictures to choose from within my 1 hour photo session. Jaime worked her magic with photoshopping and editing they were beautiful! I could not pick my allotted pictures so I purchased the entire CD which included all her "special" edits. I purchased a groupon deal for a 1 hr portrait session and Jaime was so great! My sister and I decided to use the opportunity to take some mother/daughter pics with our Mom who was only in town for a short while. Jaime was flexible with her schedule and accommodated us well. She was such a nice person and made the entire session very easy and fun. My entire family has an un-photogenic gene so the fact that she got some great shots (that even my picky mom was happy with) is quite a surprise. We had our session at the beach, and the only problem was the wind - but that's not really something anyone can control. After the session, Jaime got us our prints very promptly. She was VERY patient with us while we decided, which took over 2 months, and then quickly emailed me a CD of the pictures when we finally made the choices. We took are engagement shoot at lake Murray park and she did an amazing job of capturing great pics in the midst of not much. I think that is an awesome quality for an photographer to have. Jaime captured our wedding day and we couldn't have asked for a better photographer. She was professional, creative, flexible, and a joy to work with. Professional - Jaime arrived early to make sure she was set up and ready to take pictures on time. Our gallery was ready to be viewed by our agreed date. She was very professional from our first meeting all the way to providing us our gallery. Creative - We had a Catholic wedding which had its restrictions on photography and both my husband and I were worried about the Church's expectations. Jaime reassured us that she would be able to get all the shots we need and keep in line with the Church's wishes. I have to say, the pictures Jaime provided during the ceremony were above our expectations. She was able to catch every special moment on camera from several angles without causing any distractions! I don't know how she did it, but she did! Flexible - A week or so before the wedding date, we had to adjust our time schedule and found that we needed Jaime earlier than originally agreed. Jaime was happy to flex her schedule that day to come earlier so we can catch all "getting ready" photos. We took our sunset beach photos last week and we couldnt be happier with our experience with Jaime. Our first scheduled session ended up being a really cloudy, windy and cold day so Jaime was very quick to respond to my concerns about a photo shoot in those conditions and we were able to change to another day that ended up being perfect and gorgeous! Jaime responded quickly, was kind, and answered all of my questions. This put me at ease! After we finalized a day for the shoot, a couple days later, Jaime notified me she had a family emergency and needed to reschedule our session. I had a shoot done with Jaime three weeks ago and I must say that I had an amazing experience working with her. Scheduling the shoot was easy. I emailed her and she responded right away with the available dates and time. On the day of the shoot, Jaime arrived at the location 15-30 minutes early(Balboa Park). She was so approachable and easy to work with. She helped me with my poses and made sure that I get good pictures. I also requested to have the shoot done in certain areas in the park and she didn't mind that. Bottomline, you just let her know what you want and she will work with you. After the shoot, she told me that the pics/gallery should be available 5-7 days after. After 5 days, i got my gallery and much to my surprise the pictures came out amazing! We hired Jamie on a whim during a brief family vacation to SD. I got in my mind that I wanted to take maternity/family photos while we were there, and came across Jamie's FB page. She was very easy to contact and quick to respond. She offered me a few different appointment times, which surprised me because I had given her short notice. Jamie was probably the easiest photographer that we have worked with, and our comfort shows in our pictures. Even my husband, who generally isn't thrilled when it's family picture time, said that he had fun and felt that the photo shoot went well. She also made an effort to bond with our toddler right away, which made her much more cooperative throughout the shoot! Jamie had lots of ideas in mind, but also was very open to incorporating any poses/ideas that I had along the way. She was not only professional, but very sweet and fun to be around!
