I've been going here several years. Love the feel of the salon. Everyone is professional and pleasant.

Ok so the massage and mani/pedis is the only services I can really rate . That being said, they have always been wonderful and I honestly have nothing to complain about . I've had a few massages and I can't recall one bad experience . I take my daughter there every now and again to get manis/pedis and the ladies are very nice and make my daughter feel very comfortable . I do agree that everyone working should atleast acknowledge someone when they walk in if the the receptionist is not there , but it's understandable that they are also normally in the middle of doing a service for someone . I also use to hear awful things about the staff but I'm almost positive that they hired the majority of all new people a couple years back. That being said , I would suggest to ignore the old reviews. Hoping to go there around Valentine's Day for a couples massage , so we'll see ! No complaints - I recommend this salon. read more

The rating says it all. Meh, I've experienced better. I was put off by waiting at least 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that I was in the salon. Several stylists saw me but chose to ignore me instead of saying something like "the receptionist will be right with you". I understand they were with their own clients, but it isn't that hard to say welcome to someone. The facial was OK. And that is just it - OK. It wasn't a bad facial by any means, I just expected more from a professional salon. They didn't have the head band most places use to keep your hair out of your face. They never looked at my skin under the lamp to determine the type of mask to use. She just took my word at what my skin issues were. I had to ask if they do extractions. Usually in facials, I've had them also do some cleansing and massage on my neck. This facial was strictly my face. When the mask was on, they did a very brief hand massage and then put my hands in warmers. Thing is, I left with smooth skin that felt great. I just expected more. read more

I wish I could have selected zero stars for a failing experience! I purchased a gift card for mini facials and a couples massage for my husband for Christmas. Services were confirmed the day before. We arrived after each taking off from work to have our facials back to back. Then after waiting some time past our massage appointments we find that there was only one therapist scheduled for our COUPLES massage. They would not refund the gift certificate and told us that we could give the certificate as a gift if we didn't wish to use it ourselves. Why would I want to give the gift of failed services to some one?! They did offer to compensate the mini facials but that total cost was $70 which doesn't compensate fairly for the cost of two people talking off from work, arranging childcare for two children and putting such a damper on the special afternoon we expected to share! The facial was mediocre. I smelled cigarette smoke throughout the entire facial, like the representative had just smoked a cigarette. Find yourself a professional grade salon and save yourself the headache. RE salon comments: the credit card company did not agree with the salon. They unfortunately were not able to complete the dispute simply because I purchased a gift card and received a gift card. It's incredibly unfortunate that I chose a gift card instead of paying for the services on the day of the appointments because then they would have been fully disputable. At a department store you buy merchandise not services, since you're in the sevice department you should have high CUSTOMER SERVICE and desire CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. As a returning customer for 10 years, I feel disgusted because the bottom line is that you want my money not my continued business and that speaks for itself. read more

I've given this salon about 3-4 chances over the past 2 years. Each have failed miserably. MASSAGES ARE AWESOME! I will not diss them. They're really great at what they do. However the room I had most recently has no air and it was 90 degrees outside and I had a heating pad and blanket on. Also there was no music in the room so the employee had to use her phone. DO NOT GET A PEDICURE OR MANICURE HERE. Not only do they absolutely abuse your cuticles (to the point of bleeding and bruising) but I think my 5 year old daughter can paint my nails better. Always on my skin. Always chips within 48 hours. All their nail polish colors have obviously been sitting out for months because they're not mixed, and covered in dust. And they CUT YOUR CUTICLES. Not only is this painful (because they pull them as they cut them) but everything I read online and all the pros I've asked have said that they should not be doing it. It benefits nothing and actually is harmful. I've bled so many times going there. Every time I leave my cuticles are BRUISED. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! read more

I moved to the area about a month ago & was looking for somewhere close to get manis, pedis, massages, etc. I Google searched & this was the first place that showed up so I gave it a try. Although the nail techs did a great job on my Shellac mani and spa pedi I rate the establishment only 2 stars because the place was so poorly managed. Kudos to my technicians who handled themselves very well and professionally during each moment of crisis. Firstly, there were 3 customers including myself getting Shellac mani's at the same time. Yet the salon only had 1 operable curing light. So we each had to wait for the other nail techs to finish using the curing light on her customer before our tech could finish with our manicure. Also, the technician couldn't start my pedi until she finished with her nail client, who was also awaiting for the curing light. Secondly, the nail tech had to throw away the polish I selected for my pedi because it was so badly thickened. I get manicures regularly all over the U.S. and I have never seen this happen. Salons which are on top of their game check the goodness of their products during slow or off-hours and dispose of spoiled products with discretion. So I had alot of time to observe the salon since my mani took well over an hour!! Interesting that on a Saturday morning the hair techs were doing old lady sets. When I finally got out of there just after noon, there was no activity in the hair cutting area and the salon was open for another two hours. Next time I'll try somewhere else. Like I said, my nail techs did a great job on my mani and pedi, they were professional and had good attitudes. But I hope they consider looking for employment at another salon which is better managed. read more

The salon is large enough, clean and attractive. Wasn't impressed with receptionist, she was not friendly and did not acknowledge me right away. Almost felt like I did not belong because she did not know me. Prices are average, wish they had some package deals that were worth my while. read more

I've brought my 75+-year-old father in twice so far for pedicures. He's legally blind, diabetic, and has some mobility issues. I mentioned these things to the receptionist when I booked the pedis. She immediately asked me if he had any issues with neuropathy, as diabetics often do, and when I said he does, she recommended a nail tech who has experience caring for diabetics. When I took Dad in, the receptionist and the nail tech were both friendly, welcoming, and patient with him. I was very impressed with their knowledge and care, and Dad was very satisfied with his results. My only critique--and this is a really small one--is that the pedicure area is very dark, and it was difficult for Dad to see the steps, the foot tub, and the seat. For most people, the low light would probably be calming, but for an old, nearly-blind guy, it was hard to navigate. Otherwise, we're very pleased, and planning to go back. read more

Don't waste your $50 on a spa pedicure. So disappointed. She didn't cut my nails or my cuticles. When removing calluses she didn't even scrub the heels of my feet. Then when she painted my nails she didn't even cover the entire nail. I fixed it myself when she walked away. Literally the worst pedicure I've ever had. I've payed less and had way better experiences before. I usually never write bad reviews but I seriously could have done a better job at home. read more

Went for a massage and it was the BEST I ever had! masseuse was fantastic!! Highly recomend. Facial I went for was fair. Was not what I was expecting and don't believe it was worth the upgrade. The girl that provided the service washed her hands, but her fingertips smelt like cigarettes. Nothing was explained before the service provider start and feel it should of been for a first timer. Service provider never took the time to make sure I was comfortable before starting. Disappointed with the facial, would not recommed it. Massage however, worth every penny! read more

The service at the front desk at Jakays is horrible. My daughter and I have sat there for 15-20 minutes before even being acknowledged by anyone in the salon. Another visit was for an updo for my daughter for a dance. I was quoted over the phone 35-40 dollars (she was 13). We got there and there was a holiday party going on with everyone drinking wine and eating while servicing customers-- wth? When we checked out, she said 'That'll be 65.00- she has a lot of hair... ' Ok, you couldn't have told me that when we walked in?? Totally unprofessional! Needless to say, I was forced to pay that Amount. The last trip (yes, I went back again) was for an eyebrow waxing. That went fine, but upon checking out I was told I couldn't add a tip on to my debit card (as in 10.00 for service + 3.00 tip). The front desk employee just pointed to a sign on the desk and said 'you can't do that anymore, and this sign has been here since July! I stated that I was sorry, I wasn't aware... She said, 'Well, when was the last time you were here, because that sign was here...' Ok. Well I have no cash for a tip, so I guess I'll have to catch the poor employee next time (NOT) with a double tip--- and we walked out~ and haven't been back, and certainly will never go back or recommend their rude services to anyone. read more
