I ordered the grilled pork chops, potatoes, eggs with cheese & toast. Usually the grilled pork chops are very good. Today However, it was very salty. The potatoes were very salty too. I was extremely disappointed. The eggs was the only things good.

Back to Jake's on Wendover. Service was prompt and friendly. Breakfast was good: I got the Veggie Omelette again with grits and a biscuit and some extra gravy. We thought the food was very good. They were busy but everything went smooth.

Burger and French toast..etc

We experienced the best service this morning at the Wendover Location! Ashley was the best and customer service was A1! The food was brought to us fresh and hot and fast! Will definitely return on our next visit to NC.

You cannot beat the sausage egg and cheese melt combo for $11. Come with their famous hash browns and a pickle. A staple for those who need a super savory and reliable breakfast. The service is pretty good and this location was clean.

I had French Toast and bacon, my wife had an omelette. The food was good. The wait wasn't long and service was pretty good. My only criticism is that I wish plates were cleared when we were done eating. They sat there until after we paid the bill and left.

Nice standard diner faire. I opted for a no-meat breakfast lovers plate and chose to sun in home fries for the grits. I liked that they mathed out the substitution costs right in the menu. They got the cook on my eggs right and my home fries were okay, but not amazing. It didn't seem like they seasoned the food much, but there was salt on the table. We did have to wait about 20 mins to get a table and service was slow, but that's pretty forgivable since we went on a busy weekend morning. People are packed pretty tight in the space, so it's loud and not for socially phobic folks. But, they fed us and we were really happy. This place is a solid option for a diner breakfast.

This is a solid 4 star experience. Not a bad thing. Jake's is one of those local places which fall into the IYKYK category. It's a diner. While it may not be a James Beard award winning or Michelin starred establishment, you can get some good food at reasonable prices. Yes. You can get breakfast 24/7. I am not of that cloth. There were 7 of us having a "farewell family breakfast". I've been here a few times. Food is usually good. Everyone ordered breakfast except me. The breakfast portions were generous. Nobody left hungry. Now the grits were in a cup. Look at the pics. Again, we had full bellies. The group roast was stacked on a plate in the middle of the table. I liked that approach. You see the pics. No room on the plates for it anyway. Shout out to our sever whose name I don't recall. This young man was on point! He worked his tables like a pro. No grunts groans or scowls when we asked for items. Kept our drinks filled. Ambiance? I mean it is a diner. The place was packed for Sunday morning. Oh, I've attempted the "after the club closes" run. We didn't because we're were too hangry to wait on take out. So glad this restaurant survived the pandemic. Wendover just wouldn't be the same without that Jake's Diner sign.

French toast, dry and drenched in powdered sugar to compensate.

While the service was good, everything else was disappointing. My French toast was white in the center and lacking in flavor and the coffee was disappointing. Our very kind waitress kept checking in to make sure our food was "okay," and honestly that's the best way to describe the food. It's okay, but it's really not great and I honestly think the Waffle House next door is wayyyyy better.

Eggs with gravy and biscuits n order of short stack with good cup of coffee

Food portion n price great. Biscuits n gravy was sooo good. Coffee was perfect. Service was excellent n got my food quickly. Diner ambiance is what you expect from diner not divey not fancy just right! Pretty busy here but quick service. Would come again if in town

Service is horrible. My waitress is fine but she is running the whole place while her "co worker" stands and talks the whole time.

My partner visited Black Magnolia last week after her massage at Green Leaf Wellness center and raved about her cinnamon roll, so I decided to treat myself to one as well and it did not disappoint. I found the Patisserie straight away as I passed it on the way to my massage, but the signage on the curb helps since some businesses in Revolution Mills can be quite difficult to find. The storefront itself is quite small, consisting of a standing room and the glass case of baked goods, but there is seating outside and around the establishment. The staff was attentive, briefing me on all the cinnamon rolls they currently had and letting me know that there were some baking that would be available a bit later. Each roll looked decadent with flavors ranging from lemon blueberry, s'mores, and classic. There were also scones and other baked goods available as well, but I had my heart set on the Classic Cinnamon Roll. I bit into this beauty on my way home and it was the softest and most delicious cinnamon roll I have ever had! Baked with brioche dough and topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, the pillowy texture and flavors were so comforting and satisfying. I don't eat sweets often, so this was the perfect treat to end my day with. I am definitely looking forward to trying the lemon blueberry next!

I will suggest that if you are looking for more of the savory items you do have to get there early because it will sell out. The cinnamon bun and scone were absolutely delicious. I got there right on time because they just took the scones out. So it was freshly iced and so yummy. What's not pictured is the chocolate chip cookie. Just do yourself a favor and try it. It was the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had. Just to note, this place is in the cut and you have to go down a few stairs but look for their sign posted outside and parking is right across. I'll definitely come back to try more items.

From the moment we walked in the decor and overall vibe felt like stepping back in time in a good way. You can tell a lot of thought went into the place without it feeling overdone. Service was top tier. Alejandra took care of us and knew the menu inside and out without sounding scripted or fake attentive like some places do. I got the salmon and yeah... ridiculous. The gravy alone could've been its own menu item. I was two seconds away from licking the plate. Only complaint is I wish the portions were a little bigger because the food was that good.

I ordered a french 75 and it was missing the simple syrup. We started with the tuna appetizer and truffle fries. Some of the best truffle fries in the triad. For my main I ordered the avocado bacon toast. I loved it! They use a thick piece of texas toast and poached eggs with a side of greek yogurt, berries and honey. Yum! My husband got the duck burger and loved it! It came with a creamy side of mashed potatoes. We will be back as this has always been a great place to eat in GSO!

Our seats were in the main dining area, which is an absolute feast for the eyes. The area was super busy and crowded but you'd never know it because everything just flowed, like a well oiled machine. The food is EXCELLENT! We got a little bit of everything but the highlights were the Short Rib Sliders - popular at our table, and the small plates. Our server was excellent, the wine list is impressive, my local beer was fantastic, and my wife enjoyed her wine. The food was where things slipped. My wife's wood-fired salmon was pretty good, but her vegetables came out with no seasoning at all. My wood-fired filet was cooked exactly right, but it also had no seasoning, and when you find yourself asking for steak sauce for a filet, something has gone wrong in the kitchen. Then the peach crumble showed up and stole the entire night. It is genuinely amazing, and I'd tell anyone within earshot to order it. Great atmosphere, great service, great drinks, and a dessert worth the trip. If the kitchen brings the seasoning up to the level of everything else, this is easily a four-and-a-half-star restaurant.

The good news? It's worth it. I had the Reuben, which was excellent, along with a pasta salad that was surprisingly good. I also sampled the artichoke crab dip, and it was easily appetizer-worthy. The burgers looked great too. The menu has enough interesting options that I could see myself coming back several times if I lived nearby. Definitely worth the wait for a great sandwich.

Today I stopped in for a to go order, but next time I plan on enjoying the patio with my pup Ziggy and try one of their burgers. I ordered the Madison Avenue which is a croissant smeared with honey walnut cream cheese, smoked turkey, and granny smith apples. My side was slaw and I also ordered fries with a side of ranch. Upon walking in the place appeared clean, the customer service, not the best. But maybe someone was having a bad day, I get it. I'm so glad I did check my bag before I left because they did not give me ranch or plasticware, man I would have missed out on some amazing ranch. The young man gave me three ranches which I'm so disappointed I only grabbed one. Unfortunately I didn't get the best pictures but the food tasted great. The fries were thick cut (probably frozen) and let me tell you, I would just come back for the ranch! They have my favorite restaurant ranch. The slaw was really tasty - good ole southern sweet mayonnaise slaw, not too vinegary. The sandwich, not bad, good combo of toppings, they paired well together. I' ll be back. Anyone want to go for a patio lunch? Ciao for now
