This local corner liquor store (corner Schluterstrasse/Mommsenstrasse) serves a very reasonably priced lunch from Monday to Friday and WOW, you won't be disappointed! The menu changes daily but you can expect huge portions of at least a dozen hot or cold entrees and don't forget to pair it with your choice of beer or wine. One star less than five because you will have to stand to eat, but you'll eat delicious German roast pork with red cabbage and mashed potatoes, or a great tasting 'boulette' (not a hamburger where I come from, but more like a flattened meatball) with cold green cabbage and potato salad, or herring in the style of a German 'hausfrau' - housewife. Or instead go for a vegetarian salad plate or a fresh sandwich with the topping of your choice, including tuna. The desserts are 'typical' as well. They do take out too. So what are you waiting for?!
