Samantha assisted me and went on about the menu and what comes with what on these plates, she recommended almost everything, and I'm not gonna Lie, I got one of the recommended plates and dam it was good, carne guisada plate, meat had flavor and color, beans were so good, rice was good , the ambiance here is chill the service is so good, come to your table even if not called to see if needing anything, this place was recommended by friends that have eaten here before and I'm glad they did, I'll be buying my breakfast here in the mornings for work and I'll be back to eat inside. read more

The food here is amazing!! The cheese chimichangas are so delicious! Great food, we have always ordered and brought home to eat. Sometimes they get some stuff mixed up and forget stuff. I do wish they would double check the orders. I have a large family of 6 so when someone doesn't get what they want is not a good result. Its fish Friday so that limits our choices of where to stop and eat. We pulled off the highway and found this restaurant. Like others have said plenty of room inside and out. I had the mexican plate. Loved that the cheese enchiladas were wrapped in a red tortilla, what flavor!!! I also loved the refried beans, actually tasted like beans, so good. Hubby (who practices fish Friday) had the fried fish plate, plenty to eat! 2 huge fish fillets nice breading and weren't greasy. We were on our way back home from Uvalde on a Sunday so we decided to stop here for a quick bite to eat. This restaurant has plenty of parking and plenty of room inside as well. This restaurant had all the standards on a menu that one would expect at a Mexican restaurant. The location was super convenient, right off the main interstate, and the service was good. We had just had some amazing food on the main street in town the day before, so by comparison this was just so-so. In Pearsall there are just so many places that I can afford. I've eaten here a couple of times and l do have to say the food is good. I just had a bowl of menudo and it met my expectations. It was flavorful. It had the right amount of hominy and meat. We ate here last night and weren't disappointed. This is a no frill place with prompt, courteous service and huge plates of yummy food. I ordered the chili relleno plate which came with beans, rice, guacamole and lettuce. Delish except the chili relleno was cooked in egg rather than fried in fluffy egg white. Different but I ate it! My husband had the cheese enchilada plate, same sides, and it was really delicious. The salsa is really good, too - just the right spiciness. We will eat here every time we are in Pearsall! This restaurant is conveniently located right off of I35 for easy access. It's at least my third visit here. I came with my office mates and we arrived about 3:30pm. Seating was readily available and the server attended us promptly. The plate portions are generous. I ordered an a la carte crispy beef taco and an a la carte enchilada. I prefer the crispy beef taco. The chef stuffed it with a lot of meat and served it on a plate in such a way that you could add or subtract the lettuce or tomato at your leisure. My buddy ordered the fajita special and remarked at how lean and tender the meat was. The tortillas were served slightly hard. The prices are super reasonable. They offer lunch specials for 5.99 & 6.99. My a la carte pieces were $1.35 each. read more

Food tasted OK but my wife found a hair in one of her mini tacos. The Horchata my wife had tasted good but my water tasted like dish soap (at least they don't charge for the tap water so I didn't complain ... or drink it). There's wasps everywhere on the outside of the building so be careful they do come down at you. The tables were sticky when we sat down and gross. My plate got stuck to the table it was so dirty. I am deeply disappointed in Jalisco's in pearsall texas because my family and I were on vacation in Dilley as we do every yr and one of my sister in laws wanted Mexican food so we drove to pearsall to take her to jaliscos because I had heard it was really good. Disappointed. My sister in law's order was messed up 3 times. She ordered enchilada with verde sauce the waitress brought her a taco. She then told her again and she then brought her another taco all while my husbands food is getting cold as he is waiting on his sister to eat. By the time the waitress came back a third time my sister in law lost her appetite from waiting on her food, my husband's food was even colder and the waitress mentioned that she had been working 8 days straight and was tired. Sorry no excuse to mess up the same order 3 times. We will never eat there again, while traveling and I won't recommend this restaurant to anyone either. read more

The caveat I have to put out there is that I am from New York City. I had the opportunity to eat here during the week I was in Pearsall for a business trip. I ate only once but now that I am back in New York, I can't stop craving the food I had here and regret I wasn't able to have lunch here more often (although the Wednesday cattle auction burger down the way was unbelievable in its own right but I digress). The restaurant looks immaculate on the outside but let's be honest, does that really matter? The interior is spacious and I rather like the option of sitting wherever I want. The waitress tended to us promptly but also gave us the space to contemplate the menu items and carry on our conversation. The chips and salsa alone could have been the meal given the bottomless supply they kept on providing. Mexican Coca-Cola is really a must when having this kind of cuisine so keep your calorie counting habits outside. The menu is so expansive and the prices are more than reasonable. I had the Plato Mexicano with crunchy beef tacos and beef enchiladas. Right amount of contrast between crunchiness of the taco and the warm soft enchiladas. All in all, if I am ever back in Pearsall, then this will be on my list of places to go and eat. read more

Came in last Saturday night and they were not particularly busy. The sign said seat yourself so we did. We waited 10 minutes and nobody came to get our drink order or even acknowledge that we were there. Finally my husband got up and asked one of the servers who was supposed to be waiting on us. She pointed to another server who we watched wait on other tables but not even look in our direction. We gave it 5 more minutes then went across the street to eat BBQ instead. And when my husband went to find a server to ask what the deal was, there was broken glass on the floor by the cash register that nobody was bothering to clean up.
