The omelette I ordered was The Alamo: three egg omelette with chorizo, pickled jalapeños, red onions, cheddar cheese. Topped with cilantro and avocado. We went for breakfast on a Sunday with the family. The service was very fast, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The pancake was light and fluffy, and my son enjoyed the crêpe -- it was thin and mildly sweet. I had the chicken carnitas, which had a Tex-Mex flavor and was a bit spicier than I prefer, but the egg was perfectly cooked. This was our first meal in Dallas. It was so great! Perhaps because our hotel stay had been so terrible this food was our saving grace! When we arrived, there were groups of people standing outside and we were told it would be about a 20 minute wait. We were pleasantly surprised to only have to wait about 15 minutes, which was great because I had a very impatient 6 year old. The restaurant was very clean. The waitress was quick, knowledgeable and able to recommend some good choices for us to share. The food came out quickly and fresh. My son said that he wanted to eat here every day. The staff was very nice from the hostess to the server to the manager that came over. One thing to know is that your entire party needs to be there before you get seated, so if your best friend is always fashionably late like mine, beware. The good news is, they can still make you a yummy drink while you wait. My salad was delicious and my friend got some grits and eggs. Her grits were a bit watery and lacked flavor, but Their Bloody Mary is great! I'd love to try more things here. The menu has great variety. One thing to watch out for is the extra charges. There were a few things that showed up as extra on the bill we weren't expecting, and they didn't let us know it would be extra, so just ask questions when you order. Bland food - Disappointed in the lack of flavor from the food we ordered. I ordered B.A.T Eggs Benedict which weren't horrible but the hash browns had no flavor at all. I had to add salt and pepper plus some hot sauce which i don't ever have to do at breakfast spots. Speaking of no flavor, the chicken and waffles were sooo bland. The chicken i mean at least. Literally no seasoning in the breading. It almost ruined the flavor of the waffle because it took away from the flavor. And then my "espresso martini" was more of a watered down latte. I placed my order with my waiter and he returned with my order about 3-5 minutes later, this made my antennae's go up fast....lol. I had a "skillet" with eggs, hashbrowns, etc. and pancakes as "the bread". Everything tasted like it was frozen, then microwaved or something. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it's a VERY cheaply put together product, which I think is their business model. I also had a latte, which was on par with a coffee from McDonalds, but much more expensive.
