I am breaking that rule here because I feel like this place has amazing potential, and either has lost its way or the owner has put its trust in someone that doesn't share their dream. I am basing this 3-star review solely on the food. I ordered the food and had it delivered to my hotel. I was hoping to try their curry goat or oxtail, but neither were available on the app I ordered the food from. I ordered the jerk chicken, and a beef patty. I also ordered an extra side of jerk sauce. The chicken was the best part of the meal. It was super flavorful and juicy. The jerk sauce on the other hand was very sweet and felt non-traditional and out of place. The sides are normally a good indicator of a great Jamaican place, and both the rice and cabbage was a let down. Both were under-seasoned and lacking much flavor. The beef patty was edible, but nothing special. I really hope I caught this place on a bad day. If this is how this food is on a regular basis, however, I felt the need to make sure it had a fair review. My experience was far from 5 stars.
