Jamboree Smog makes getting a smog check quick and easy! Sure there may be cheaper places around, but Jamboree Smog doesn't require reservations and they're open 7 days a week. If you get their coupon, it's $60, including the certificate, for cars 2000 or newer and you get a free car wash! The staff is friendly and there's an open air wait area with refreshments. Plus, they have a pass or you don't pay for cars 2000 or newer.

Come here every 2 years for a smog check. They are STAR Certified and are super quick. You don't pay if you don't pass. People are friendly and their lounge is always clean. They offer free water and sometimes candy or freezer pops. They also have chargers you can use to plug in your phone. Look in their site as they offer a discount. Plus, you get a free car wash to use within the next month and a free drying towel to use. We will definitely keep coming back.

I was recommended by a family member to come here for my smog check. My car was due for one since it's from 2016. Pretty straight forward. No appointment needed, you can just drive up to an open stall and they do the whole process within 10 mins! So fast! They have a nice little shaded sitting area to wait in as well. read more

This place was pretty fast. The price was pretty expensive but not significantly higher than other places. They give you a voucher for a car wash but my car was too tall for their auto wash and so I never ended up coming back to see about getting my car washed. It can be a bit slow at times because it can get busy. The technician and I struggled a bit to communicate because of language barriers. But overall it's a decent place and just glad I was able to get this taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. read more

Not much more you can ask of a place of necessity. Ask the questions, have the work done, apply discount, pay, then go. I can see if your vehicle has some trouble passing that issues could arise. I've had problems before with them on passing my modified Genesis coupe. I would put the car back to stock except for CARB legal components, or components allowed by law that do not modify anything to do with emissions; and since they saw that, they treated my car like a criminal... inspecting every little detail like it was definitely wrong. But I get it... they are just enforcing the law...and if they "bend" the rules, THEY suffer the consequences... So you have to understand that they're just doing their jobs. So if you're looking for a hot smog, this is not your place. You have a newer vehicle, that burns clean? This is where you take it. I've had smog/mechanics help out before on older vehicles that would do all the tips and tricks to help you pass... I'm not sure if that's one of these places. read more

He told me to return at 1pm. Went back at 1, waited an hour until someone called him and was told he would be there the next day at 10am. Returned the next day at 10, waited for another hour and left. It was a huge waste of time and miles. Drove about a half mile to Action Fours smog test location on the east side of the Santa Ana DMV and received immediate service. Wish I had gone there first, spent $10 more dollars, and saved several hours of my time, miles on the vehicle, and frustration.

We reached out to Arnold for a pre-purchase inspection. While six other places quoted us $250-$350 for a "comprehensive" inspection, we paid Arnold $100, which was a STEAL for what he did, even more than what the others promised. He spent at least two hours thoroughly checking the vehicle, test driving it and walking us through every detail so we truly understood its condition. We were looking at buying an Audi Q4 e-tron that had a damage report. A reputable dealership told us it was "minor" and offered to take it to the mechanic for our peace of mind. After browsing Yelp and reading the amazing reviews, we decided to come here instead and I'm so glad we did. I had already done my due diligence and familiarized myself with the vehicle and potential issues. I asked Arnold very specific, technical questions that I already knew the answers to. I referenced this establishment in a previous review of nearby Midas. My problem with this place was that my "check engine" light was on when I went in for my smog check. The technician got in the car before starting the test and could not have missed the "check engine" light being on. I subsequently learned that if the car's "check engine" light is on, it is impossible for the car to pass the smog test. In my opinion, the technician should have told me this before starting the test. He didn't. The only reason my review is 2 stars (instead of 1 star) is that 1) they have a free retest; and 2) the people there have been willing to check my car's OBD system to see if it was ready for retest. For those that don't know, once the OBD system is reset (this was done free by Midas), the car must be driven for some unknown amount of miles (people at Midas didn't know exactly what this was for my Volvo) before everything has been reset and ready to clear smog test. I have taken my car back there twice so far and two sensors still have not been reset. If this "reset" process takes more than 90 days (retest time frame) and they try to charge me again, my 2 star review will be downgraded because, in my opinion, they should never have even tested my car with the check engine light on. read more

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I went on a Monday and the entire process took less than 10 minutes. If you check in with Yelp, you'll get a $20 discount. There were no shenanigans with coupons and fine print; I was charged exactly as quoted and per their advertisement. I appreciate transparency and this kind of thing is important to me. i don't like to get a smog check, seems that since i have an older SUV i have to go each year. And each year to a different Smog Check station. But this time i was very happy with the service. Alejandro the tech was very curious, fast and best of all the PRICE, The best i could find in town, even when i got my initial phone quote, it was given with the price of the certificate included not excluded like 95 percent of the other give the price. I have given excellent reviews for my 3 vehicles in the past for awesome friendly and fast customer service but this time I need to reduce a star due to the "care less" attitude of a staff. The person who attended and signed the paperwork is Patel. There were no cars in the bay(s) at that time at around 9:30 AM but Patel acted as if I was bothering him when I drove up. The smog check was quick and the facility still has the comfortable waiting lounge with cold bottled water and phone charging station. I don't think anyone enjoys getting their car smogged. But this experience was easy, fast, and cheaper than most. I will definitely return here when needed and recommend to friends. Its just a guy in a car wash converted to smog station, but I think that's why the expenses are so low. He was nice, polite and fast. And the location is descent. My car passed and I was quickly on my way. Its a "smog only" station, which was mandated by the DMV I use. I went to DMV to renew my Car registration and mine is a hybrid. They told me that they changed the rules recently and hybrids need smog test these days. What ever guys! From now on I am bringing my cars here for Smog Checks. Employees are following COVID precautions with masks, hand sanitizer, social distancing. I received a $10.00 discount doing the YELP check-in. They had a nice outdoor waiting area with snacks, water and sodas. They even had a charging station for phones. My car was done in less than 15 minutes.
