When I got to the appointment I was asked to wait for Mr B. When I said I had an appointment for Ms Fanning, I was told that Mr B often takes her appointments. I was never told that Ms Fanning wouldn't take my appointment. The staff was very polite, however, I made the appointment two months out and talked to the staff several times and each time it was said that it was in preparation of my meeting with Ms Fanning. Never was it mentioned that Ms Fanning would not be meeting with me, or even that she worked with another lawyer. I refused the appointment with the other lawyer and walked out for two reasons. The first because I wanted to see the lawyer that was recommended to me. The second, because it was poor communication at best, deceptive at worst. Either way, it was enough to break my trust. No amount of money would make this a good choice. On a less important convenience note, the office has no marking on the outside and it isn't clear if there is a public door. Although, I was called the day before to remind me of the appointment, no help directions were given.

Then dec 2017 I hired him to handle my divorce and tho I had several of our personal friends tell me I should hire some else but I was blinded by the ideal that our long time business and child hood friendship would motivate him to help me get a break even deal knowing that I was not asking for anything that was not mine before the marriage just to get back stuff like furniture and Comcast boxes and after thousands of dollars billed and paid he couldn't even get me the cable boxes returned so with great sadness I have to say I too highly recommend you find another business to handle your basic lawyer needs. He was handed his ass by my exwife lawyer who works out of his basement. And doesn't wear fancy watches and talk about sending his kid to Yale. Bill was happy to be paid; once I was officially his client, he didn't seem interested in returning my desperate calls for basic information (3 went unanswered over a period of 10 days; by the 4th call and my insistence, the secretary patched me in...) Does he understand that when people go to an attorney, it's a big deal and, for them, there is a lot at stake? Worse, besides being completely absent of any phone or email communication (what my options might be, what the cost might be, what the timetable would look like, etc.), he does the unthinkable - and of course doesn't apologize for it, doesn't even talk to me before or afterward. After he unnecessarily got my (extremely simple) matter postponed to another hearing (more billable hours, anyone?), HE FORGOT TO SHOW UP TO COURT. Of course, per his usual, we didn't talk beforehand (did I mention he's always unavailable and doesn't return calls?), but I assumed - incorrectly - that he had a calendar and knew that he was supposed to be in court to represent me. Wrong. The judge waited and waited and finally pushed me to a different time. After my frantic call to Babut's secretary in the meantime, he was mysteriously "found" in Jackson and phoned in to court (in every sense of the word) and was *completely unprepared.* After one pulls a no-show in court, wouldn't the client expect a phone call? Nothing. Do not trust this man or his firm with anything important. He is the worst.
