I'm a very courteous rider, and whenever someone was walking toward me on the sidewalk, I would simply move into the street, let them pass, and then ease back into a driveway since there is no bike path along Lakeview Drive. On one of those driveway transitions, I encountered an unexpected two-inch saw-cut curb that sat above the street. On a scooter with 9 1/2-inch wheels, the moment my front tire hit that raised edge, it stopped instantly and threw me face-first onto the concrete. The accident split my upper lip open, knocked out my two front teeth, fractured my left cheekbone, and broke my left little finger. Being new to Florida, I had no idea where to turn. While I was in downtown Sebring, I noticed the Burnetti, P.A. office and walked in just before Christmas. There was one staff member working that day, and after listening to what had happened, she told me all of their attorneys were excellent. I told her, "I need one of your best. Who would you trust if this were your family?" Without hesitation, she suggested Attorney Dylan Griffin, describing him as "a bulldog." Because Dylan is based in Lakeland and I'm in Sebring, we met by phone. He spent as much time with me as I needed, carefully explaining my case and answering every question. He introduced me to his paralegal, Alex, who has been absolutely wonderful throughout the process. I've documented everything with photographs, ambulance reports, emergency room records, and ongoing medical treatment, and Alex has always made herself available whenever I've had questions or needed guidance. What has impressed me most is that Dylan has personally checked on me more than once--not just to discuss the case, but to see how I was doing and whether I needed any additional medical help. There are bogus charges such as spending a half hour to look over her witness list. There were no witnesses. Mr. Allen never contacted my ex wife's legal representative to negotiate anything on my behalf (confirmed) I worked out all the details, then at the arraignment he started "negotiating" so he could charge more(confirmed). The process took 25 minutes his "negotiation" took 3 hours. That tactic resulted additional money for her legal fees. There are reviews that say he's biased to the women. Based on his "negotiating" I would say is very true. The women seem to think he's great in their reviews, but they're creepy and unprofessional innuendos. He also tried to convince me it was better for the state to garnish my wages. I'm guessing he makes a percentage(unconfirmed). He stretched and wrung out every possible cent he could from me. I never felt as though he had my best interest. Janie his paralegal is extremely blunt with a sharp attitude. She makes you feel like you're some sort of troublesome chore. I wanted to fire him but then I would have to pay some other retainer fee. It was 14000 altogether. My wife spent 2500. She won. You tell me. Shop around this guy is not in it for you. Since the officer released me without giving me a citation I thought the matter was completely settled after I got my vehicle repaired. I was horrified a few months later when I received a letter in the mail informing me that my driver's license was about to be suspended for an unpaid fine! It turns out that when the officer filed his report he did issue me a citation. Even worse, the citation was for something that could not possibly apply to me. Within a day of me hiring him Mr. Warshofsky was able to reach out to the judge's office and have the upcoming suspension removed so that I could keep driving. I still had to wait two months for a trial to clear my name. During that time I sent Mr. Warshofsky several questions. He always patiently and quickly answered them to help put my mind at ease. Besides having expertise on your side, there is another benefit to hiring a lawyer for a traffic offense. They will go in your place to the trial and you do not have to attend. The last thing I would want to do is go to a courthouse during a pandemic. The trial ended up being via Zoom, but not having to worry about going to the courtroom took a weight off of my shoulders. On the day of the trial he could have waited until the end of the day to let me know what happened. In fact he called me 10 minutes after the listed start time of the trial to let me know the judge had already dismissed my case. I hope that I never have another reason to hire Mr. Warshofsky but if I do I will hire him again without a moment's hesitation!

Working with this firm I feel like I have been kept up to date with the status of my case and every decision is ran by me. More importantly, I truly feel my attorney has my best interest. I know what you're thinking and you're probably right to an extent, but they too deserve to be compensated for their work. Nothing in this world is free (and if it is you're the product)! Anytime I have called the firm, which admittedly is not often (I'm bad at this), I have been able to speak with my attorney or get a call back in a timely matter. At the start of this whole ordeal I was receiving a lot of calls about my case from the insurance agencies. I was able to defer everything to my attorney and this firm, which was awesome because after that trauma I truly did not want to deal with it. It was a particularly stressful time! Their office is conveniently across the street from the old court house. It is a super nice and clean office. I've only been there a few times and everyone I have encountered thus far has been friendly and professional. Parking was not an issue since they have their own lot. I cannot stress enough how nerve wrecking it is for me thinking about having to go downtown and having to figure out whether I will find parking or how much cash I will need for a parking lot or parking garage!
