I choose to buy a handful from the assorted self-serve selection. They came out to be $0.65 a piece. They also had deals on huge bulk bags of assorted chocolate. Nice and clean store layout. I was really looking forward to the beverage bar as I'm a big fan of white chocolate, mocha, and caramel drinks. The menu selection at the beverage bar was mediocre. I ordered an iced coffee with caramel flavor. You cab choose a Lindt chocolate flavor to put in your drink. The iced coffee was horrible. I couldn't even taste the coffee. Tasted like water mixed with chocolate powder. Two ladies tendering at the beverage bar were bickering about who knows what. The older lady cashier wasn't very pleasant. Maybe she needed more chocolate in her life. I would go back for chocolate, who doesn't love the cocoa?! Skipping a drink next time!

Excellent service here - we wanted to buy the peanut butter truffles (Lindt, you've got to start…read moreselling them in the UK again!) but not too many as we've got a luggage allowance to stick to. But the staff managed to work out the cheapest price point per truffle for the volume we wanted (whether it was in a pre-sealed bag, or loose etc). I'm a little bit up in the air about them keeping the peanut butter truffles behind the counter due to potential issues with allergies - but I think that's because they're so delicious that they want to keep them for themselves!! The staff were super friendly and helpful, which is all you really want in a store which is mostly self service anyway. The goods taste (already started eating the peanut butter truffles, so perhaps I'll have more room in my bags flying back than expected!) like they always have, so there's nothing to differentiate those from the chocolates in any other Lindts stores elsewhere).

It was an excellent recommendation. We ordered a variety of items from the cases. The cherry cobbler was especially memorable, but everything was good. We've decided to make a visit to Sjolinds for breakfast/brunch on our way out of town a part of future Mt Horeb visits.

Not to mention it was quite popular! I loved the selection of hot chocolate options and the translation for each. However I wasn't very impressed by the French one I ordered (dark chocolate plus vanilla). It was good but not as decadent as I was anticipating and even with 30 min to close I asked to dine in but they gave me everything in Togo containers. I also got a Swede sandwich- which was ham, Swiss and Dijon mustard. Nothing to write home about. It was very very average. However I did get an almond cookie with chocolate ganache which was fantastic. Sitting at a table in this shop and looking at all the treats was great. I have a feeling if I come back at an earlier time this place could really blow me away, but as of right now. It's mid. I'm not impressed and what was left at the end of the day was just average. Also the three items cost me about $20 so I would say this place Is on the pricer end

Imagine indulging in award-winning chocolates from a Black-owned, woman-owned shop in Madison,…read moreWisconsin. I don't have to imagine--I've experienced the best chocolates ever! I'm obsessed with chocolate! @cocovaa has been on my must-try list forever, and I finally made it there just in time before their summer break. When I arrived, most of the treats were sold out, but I got to sample everything that was left. And wow, the chocolates were pure magic, and the exceptional service from the owner and her son made it even sweeter. Here are the flavors I tried: Coffee Creme Brulee - Caramelized sugar on top of coffee & vanilla bean white chocolate ganache, encased in white chocolate. Persian Saffron - Persian saffron-infused white chocolate ganache, encased in dark chocolate. Hazelnut Praline - Milk chocolate & hazelnut praline blended with crispy croquant, encased in dark chocolate. Lemongrass Pear Frangipane - Lemongrass & pear purees encased in dark chocolate with an almond chocolate bottom. Blueberry, Lemon & Lavender - Lemon caramel on top of blueberry and lavender-infused ganache, encased in dark chocolate. Turkish Coffee - Coffee and cardamom-infused single-origin Venezuelan dark chocolate ganache, encased in dark chocolate. Key Lime Pie - Key lime caramel on top with a cookie crunch bottom. Every bite was a delight. Can't wait to go back for more!

The owner and her son operate the business, and she spent a couple of minutes chatting with me. There were few people seated enjoying tea or coffee with their chocolates and pastries made on site, as well as another with wine and chocolates. I couldn't wait to get home to tear into my box of chocolates! A few of my favorites included the Blueberry, Lemon, Lavendar, the Calamansi Caramel, Cherry Blossom, and Persian Saffron! I will definitely return!
