I stopped in here once about 5 years ago or so looking for a pipe. The selection wasn't as good as I'd hoped for (same for their in store selection of pipe tobacco). However, I was in town and decided to give it another go, especially as I found they have a smoking lounge upstairs. Started out giving a quick look over of the pipes displayed on the wall. A decent selection, but not huge. Then dropped in downstairs to look at their museum. Very small and didn't take much time. It was very interesting to learn of Winston Churchill's association with Fox. After that, back up to the humidor. About halfway in to my looking around, a gentleman asked how I was doing, and helped me locate a nice cigar in my price range. Once I selected the brand/size I wanted, he personally looked through the batch to locate a nice one for me. After cutting and lighting for me, I headed on upstairs to the smoking lounge. Decent number of seating areas, and free coffee/water. Didn't notice any matches up there (could have used some to relight at the end)...may want to grab a packet before heading up. Afterwards, before leaving, stopped to look for their Fox brand of pipe tobaccos. Disappointed to see they only had one choice, The Bankers blend. The clerk found an open tin for me and let me have a smell...seemed like a good, standard English blend so I purchase one. All in all, a good afternoon visit, and hopefully I'll have another chance to return, if not during this trip, then during some future visit to London. read more
