They didn't ask me how I wanted my burger cooked because they simply knew how to do it, and they cooked it perfectly. I ordered the classic burger - so juicy, well seasoned, and plenty of meat. The grilled brioche bun was soft and buttery and the overall taste was fantastic. A perfectly well made burger served with their smashed baby potatoes. Look forward to trying more and the desserts. This location has plenty of parking and decent seating on the inside. Decor is simple and sleek. Our server was really nice and attentive. This place leans more into the healthier eating and you can see the staff working right behind the open counter. Presentation for all of our food was good. We ordered Brussels sprouts to share. They felt a bit overcooked - more steamed and mushy vs. the stir-fried/air-fried Brussels that I enjoy. Didn't really have much flavor. Then I ordered the winter burger with potatoes. The burger was a decent size and the winter burger included a few apple slices on it. Sadly, the apple slices were the only things that gave this burger flavor since the burger patty itself lacked any seasoning. I enjoyed the baby potatoes but it, too, needed more salt. I ordered the olive oil cake to go for my husband. Again, good presentation but lacking in taste. It was closer to dry cornbread consistency rather than a moist cake (and I've made plenty of olive oil cakes before to know it can be moist!) I visited on a Friday around 2pm, so there were no parking issues or crowds. The restaurant was clean and comfortable....nice ambiance. I had the Mint Cucumber Iced Tea and the High Vibe Popcorn. I didn't taste any cucumber in the tea, but it was refreshing. The popcorn tasted like a gourmet style, cooked with coconut oil and turmeric. In addition. I had the keto burger and smash potatoes. They use good quality beef in the burger. The potatoes tasted fresh off the grill. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The ordering/paying process is a little quirky. You sit down with a menu and are served water. Then you go to the register to order. But don't pay at the register, and don't pay until you're finished eating. All in all, I was glad I tried James P. If it weren't for this event, I never would have known about this eatery. Surprisingly, I was speaking to a coworker about their menu, and she loves visiting this establishment for their happy hour and for some of their dishes. I did view the menu before visiting, as some of the reviews mentioned, their prices are on the higher scale, and because of that, I settled for their tart. The prices were not an issue, but some of the things said, were. I didn't want to chance spending almost thirty dollars on an underseasoned or underwhelming meal. Berry Tart - The lemon curd was a bit sour; however, when mixed with the berry coulis, it was good. The crust was not edible for me; it was very dry and fell apart in my mouth, and the texture was very off-putting. It left an aftertaste in my mouth, and it is still lingering, after eating some of it over an hour ago. High Vibe Popcorn - I actually enjoyed the popcorn, but parts of it were very salty. Minus the salt, if I ever visit this eatery again, we will definitely have to get an order of this. Cucumber Mint Tea - So refreshing! You could only taste a hint of cucumber, and it was very heavy on the mint. I'm not complaining, I'm a mint person and enjoyed every sip. Overall, I don't know if I'll visit again, but I'm happy I was able to experience some of what they have to offer. I did see a few things on the menu (soups) I'd love to try, maybe this Fall or Winter, I'll head that way again. Two of the best burgers I've eaten in a long long time! We had the summer burger and the short rib burger between us and it was a coin toss for the best one - the short rib burger was super juicy with a beautiful subtle spice kick to it (chimichurri) while the summer burger had a dreamy creamy avocado spread on it. The turmeric popcorn was super delicious too and well worth the price of yellow stained fingers - lol The decor was nice but for the high standard of the food they serve - you would expect a little cozier surroundings. Came here for a yelp event and got a couple of freebies! It was nice and refreshing. Got to try the cucumber mint tea and peach sorbet. The tea came unsweetened and the peach sorbet was tart and sweet. The texture of the sorbet was thicker ice crystal, not soft and fine texture like I'm used to in a sorbet. I did end up adding the sorbet into my tea to sweeten it up a bit. It has bits of pureed peaches in it that was nice. The atmosphere inside is casual quick dining. I think from the name, I thought it was more sit down restaurant. But it is order at the counter and have a seat with a number. Everyone seems very nice here. Hidden Gem in Hurst Respectfully, if I could give this place 10 out of 5 stars I would. This restaurant blows every restaurant in the area (yes, even restaurants in Southlake and Grapevine) out of the water. The inside is very cute, with a farm to table vibe, fresh flowers and plants that give the restaurant a fresh garden feel. This is top quality food at an affordable price and casual dining atmosphere. This restaurant deserves all the recognition it gets and then some. The chicken breast was incredibly juicy, some of the juiciest chicken breast I've had in a while. It was paired with a light herby sauce that kept it simple yet flavorful. The steak with the chimichurri sauce was cooked perfectly, with a crisp outside and perfect medium rare in the middle. The burrata salad was fresh and not overbearing like other burrata salads I've had doused with olive oil, and the dessert was warm, fresh, and delicious. Service was fast and quick, with everything coming out at the perfect time. If I were selfish I would leave this review unposted just because of how great this hidden gem is. We stopped in for our Yelp Week treat and ended up getting another item that cought our eye from their Sweets menu. We got Berry Tart that has lemon curd, berry coulis and mint. It was the perfect tarty balance of real tart lemon curd and the sweetness of the berry fruits while the pastry hold and neutralize all that flavor mixture. I bet it's a great ending for a nice dinner/lunch here but we had already eaten before they opened at 4pm on this day. I ordered the zucchini/cauliflower pizza and the cacao keto dessert. Both were phenominal, when I go back I will probably try a burger or something else just as yummy on the menu. My husband and I stopped in on Sunday after church for a light lunch because we were going out to dinner that evening. High ceilings, lots of fans, green live plants and chill music made for a nice vibe. It was a bit noisy though. Had to speak up to talk to my wife. Service - 2 stars. Everyone was polite when we interacted with them. But server was hard to find. I didn't get my drink until after I had finished my burger (I had water.) Just generally felt slow as molasses in the winter. Price - 2 stars. It was $37 for just two burgers. For this price you can get some truly amazing burgers in DFW. Can't say I cared for the Beats Deviled Eggs, but to each their own. The burger was solid but it just didn't stand out to me over any other place I could go to for that price. When we walked in we walked up to someone behind the counter and they provided us with menus and advised us where to sit. Our server was friendly and checked in consistently. The food was good, my burger tasted very fresh! When I took the first bite I could immediately tell the difference, which I did love. The potatoes that it came with were good as well. The tacos my friend got looked yummy and like a decent portion size, the drinks were good and perfectly balanced. The popcorn was absolutely delicious and totally something I would never think to try, but happy that I did! All in all, it's a yes from me - I'd go back again just for the popcorn. Was hoping to LOVE this place more than I did but it was a bit underwhelming. The happy hour was nice, even though we had to have the bill corrected when some of the drinks weren't discounted. Tried all four happy hour apps. The beet dip was the favorite with really good bread. The popcorn was unmemorable and stale tasting. Burger was fine, although initially the bacon I ordered was not included on it, but quickly corrected after I let them know. While the "crushed baby potatoes" were good, I don't usually think of that type of potato with a burger. Fries... chips... maybe. This is also one of the very few places I've been to (and I eat out a lot in DFW at all price points) that charges the customer an additional tax on liquor over and above the typical 8.25%. I understand that in Texas there are additional alcohol taxes that many (if not most?) restaurants include in their menu prices, but in this case it ended up being over 15% tax on liquor. The explanation was "it's how the POS system does it and we have no control over that". Personally I don't know if that's actually the case and why other POS systems don't require that, but as a customer, just know that your drink prices will be higher than you might expect based on other restaurants. Would be nice if "POS systems" were more standardized. ;) Four stars due to the great and friendly service by all. read more

I was greeted warmly by chandler at the register and shared it was my first time in. He took the time to highlight some of the menu items and we had a great chat! The space is bright and airy and we sat on the adjacent patio on a nice warm night. By the time we ordered there was a line but it moved quickly. I loved my chicken and arugula salad and it had a spice kick to it! We also enjoyed the BLT and got the crushed potatoes on the side. A peach and rosemary margarita was the perfect drink, not overly sweet. So glad I made it in and can't wait to be back. read more

My new favorite place to eat for lunch and Dinner in the HEB area. For starters the service and the people are chill, authentic, and all look like they love what they do. From the relaxed and modern environment, the local flowers on the tables, to the simple healthy dishes, I love it all. I love how they let food just be food.....natural and not heavily salted or over powered with sauces or salt. Some of my favorites: Crispy chickpeas - 5/5 I love the crunch and how filling they are Smoked Carrot soup - 5/5 the flavor will surprise you in a good way. It almost tastes like meat or chili.
