After checking on Yelp for a professional group, I received a few calls regarding my need. I wasn't able to use the first contact and initially thought I was not going to be able to use the second company, but boy am I extremely happy I did. Mr. Santos was "Johnny on the spot". He was very professional via our text messages and answered all of my questions. He was also the first of two or three respondents who actually came to the location to give me a free quote. And he actually came the day we text. After carefully weighing my options, I chose Santos. He and his crew all arrived prior to the scheduled time of around 8am. He speaks Spanish and English, while his crew spoke Spanish. They had all of their equipment setup and had started cutting the tree limbs before I left for work. My husband is retired, so he was home to observe. They did not stop for a break until after 1:00pm for lunch and to dispose of the tree parts already loaded on their trailer. When I arrived home from work (between 330-345pm) the tree was no longer standing and they were cutting the last of the trunk in sections in order to load it for disposal. They even moved a couple of pieces of the trunk to our carport to use for a project. My husband and I were extremely happy with the work and were very appreciative of the service that was provided by Santos' Hauling and Demolition. At the end of 2024, Lata came out and gave a bid, started working. I paid in full at that time because I am a good person and wanted to show good faith. After the first day of work, he never returned. He gave numerous excuses and kept giving promises of returning but that never happened. Our last communication was that he would give me a check for a refund of the amount I paid, postdated for the end of March saying that if he did not finish the job then I could cash the check. As suspected, he did not show and THE CHECK IS NOT ANY GOOD. Lata, thank you for wasting over a year of my time with your pathetic excuses, and leaving my yard in an unsightly, neglected, eyesore.

They recently cut down an oak tree for us that was dead, probably 120 years old and only about six feet from our house. Five men worked two eight-hour days to get the tree down safely with no damage to the house. Frankly, it was a bit of a nightmare challenge but they took it slow and methodical and came up with a well-thought-out strategy utilizing the company's "over-center" aerial bucket that reached about 35 feet from the street to the tree. This was the last tree on our property so there were no other trees they could tie-off to that would facilitate the branches being lowered to the ground. Still the crew, with a climber some 50 feet up, brought the branches and eventually the trunk down safely. The company had other equipment available that they were not able to use because of the topography of the worksite. I used to sell truck-mounted equipment like the kind Giraffe has so I've dealt with tree-trimming companies pretty extensively in the past. But never have I seen such a company so well equipped to do the work so safely and efficiently. The owner, Dean Goodson, is hands-on and oversees every job they perform.
