After year of bungled haircuts at several Enfield Salons, I was reluctant to go and try anywhere else. But after visiting James Whitaker with my fiance for his hair cut, and witnessing James' skill as a stylist, I booked myself in with Lisa. This was over a year ago and I have never regretted that choice! James and his team create a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and offer a range of services and with his experienced stylists for fantastic prices. Every time I visit I feel that Lisa understands completely what I want done, and makes it happen. She has also given me great advice as to how to keep my hair looking healthy. The products they use and sell in store are also great quality - the Mythic Oil range is great and the new UNITE products look even better! I can't recommend them all highly enough. Just got back from my first ever cut at James Whitaker love it! Fancied a change from my usual hairdresser, and got some great advice from the hairdresser at JW (was it Lisa? Didn't find out her name!) about what sort of style would suit me best and she fixed up my terrible Claudia Winkleman fringe, lol! I'm rubbish with anything to do with hair, but now I feel a bit more informed about what works for me and what doesn't. Very friendly atmosphere, very easy to find, great prices (and good deals for first time customers and recommendations!) and just generally a nice place. Will definitely be going back there for my next haircut, and recommending to other Enfieldians to try it too! :) My hair now looks great for my night out, and the new style will actually suit me better in the long term too, so woohoo! I live around the corner from James Whitaker Hair so it's too easy for me to get my haircut there. Thing is, I'd still be going there even if I moved miles away. James is always friendly and has time for a chat, and Donna, who usually cuts my hair, is great at what she does and a lot of fun at the same time. I never spend my time having dull conversation and am always happy with my cut. They're not the cheapest but they're not expensive. You get what you pay for and these are well trained people. If you want a buzz cut, there are plenty of barbers around Enfield. If you want to pay a little more than that for a quality cut, then check them out. read more

Donna straight away understood my style and I didn't have to go through several 'not quite right' haircuts as is often the case with other salons. She gave me great colour advice for my complexion.
