That's incredibly important. I am always involved in decisions about medications and treatments. And the doctor is willing to think outside the box when it's called for. The staff is great -- particularly the billing staff -- who have been incredibly helpful over the years . The criticism I see in reviews here is that the doctor is blunt and it makes people feel unwelcome. Everybody needs different things if they're going to be honest about their mental health. For me, I don't need a lot of the touchy feely, friendly small talk kind of stuff from a psychiatrist. I don't need them to be my friend. That isn't why I'm there. I am there for expert, professional evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. I'm there for a billing office that's helpful, and a staff that knows what they're doing. I get all of that at Silverlining. I guess it is up to what you need. If you need the overtly friendly demeanor to put you at ease enough to talk about your mental health -- and no shame if you do! -- then maybe Silverlining isn't right for you. But if that isn't something you need, then I'd recommend Silverlining without hesitation.

I think in the future it would be helpful if staff call back to schedule appointments rather than organize them via email. This would have helped with the communication and confusion. I am struggling with my mental health and managing appointments can be challenging as is. I will be giving them another shot.
