I asked Jamison Media to put a little something together for my wifes funeral arrangement. I wasn't sure what I wanted but tried to explain the best I could to Derrick and Heather. The understood my grief and pain and assured me they can do something to both respect the event and capture what I told them. What they came out with was fantastic and lovely. It captured the essence of my wife and our love for one another. If you're looking or some professional quality workmanship then hire Derrick and Heather Jamison of Jamison Media. She saved the day for my small, elegant beach elopement…read more I had been speaking to photographers for months and couldn't find anyone that I liked their work enough to hire who was available with less than a year's notice. In comes Melanie, who I happened to find by accident through a Yelp promo email. She had another shoot earlier in the day, but bc we were doing a later beach elopement ceremony and reception, she could do it! Signing the contract and working out all the details online and via email was easy. She sent me some paperwork to give her details and then we had a phone conversation to discuss and get to know one another. On the day of - she texted me, showed up exactly on time, and was a dream to work with. So friendly, so kind, so helpful. She went above and beyond for me and my family and was so easygoing. She posed us wonderfully and rolled with the punches when a few things didn't go as planned (it's a wedding, it's going to happen!). Absolutely professional. The photos we've been given so far as a preview are stunning and I can't wait to see the others. Everyone raved about how kind she was and how much they liked our photographer afterwards, and when we've sent a few photos, they've all been blown away. I feel lucky to have found Melanie, and her husband Chris, to shoot my day and would recommend her to anyone who asked me for any photos. My maternity pictures are STUNNING and I've never felt more beautiful or loved my body as much as I did then and it was my third pregnancy! I booked our fall pictures with her on my birthday for our second photography session with her! Those pictures are soooo good and my kids were so uncooperative! I absolutely love love love them! My daughter wanted to get her wedding captured with video in Virginia Beach, and I searched high and low until I found Jamison Media. Even though we were traveling from the Midwest, we knew we wanted someone who maintained quality in their work at a great price. Derrick wowed us from the very first phone call. I was a bit nervous planning my daughters wedding over the phone, but Derrick made me feel so at ease about all of my fears, he mentioned that he did this type of thing all the time. I was also thrilled that they honor the military as my husband served 26 years in the navy. Derrick and his wife Heather arrived super early, to ensure they capture every moment, and get the best shots. Boy did they ever... The first look was amazing and the way he crafted the music to fit their film was stellar. This was like a fair tail wedding video. I'd say they are the ultimate choice for wedding films. We knew we wanted Jamison Media from the start. A friend of ours had their wedding done by them, and we started following their instagram and Facebook after they shared their wedding video. OMG! It was so good. I told my bf at the time that when we get married we are using them, and 8months later he proposed, and of course we did! We contacted Derrick letting him know of our date, and that we were passionate about booking him after seeing his amazing work. He was super sweet and accommodated a great package within our budget, which allowed us to use them for photos as well.
