Extremely painful and took well over 35 minutes. Dr. Hanick placed it -with VERY little pain-in a few minutes. Very kind physician. She is helpful, listens to and answers questions, and is clearly very talented. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone. Another plus: everyone in the office, including audiologists, was very professional and accommodating.

These guys are criminals and they should be shut…read moredown they don't take Medicare which hurts a lot of elderly people their prices are extremely high they make the patient pay in full at the time my mother-in-law's payment was one third of her income for the whole month and she paid it because they told her that she had to they didn't ask her if it would hurt her bother her you know would she be able to eat you know none of that they didn't care but if they had simply asked you know we can arrange to make this you know in three or four payments instead of one lump sum she would have been okay but they don't care they just want to make sure that they can pay for their BMW and their you know five bedroom house and their speed boats and whatever else and they will say well we tell you ahead of time that we don't accept Medicare well you should and you're hurting your patience because you don't and the whole do not do harm thing well you're doing harm I do not recommend this place especially if you have Medicare if you do stay away and if you don't just know that they're not very ethical

I can go to the movies again, have conversations in large crowds, hear everyone in a crowded restaurant, etc. Oh yeah - music is awesome too! I did a lot of digging before I found this place. Some important things to consider... Columbia Hearing Center carries just about every hearing aid brand, not just one brand like many of the other places. When your hearing is tested, they will match your hearing chart to the best aids for your hearing loss. Then you get to try them out. I tried 3 brands out. One was awful for me, one was pretty good, and one was awesome. I was surprised by this...try them all out! The staff was awesome as well. Very caring, understanding, helpful. ALSO - to my surprise, my health insurance paid $2,500 of my bill and will do so every 3 years. I was very much wanting in the ear canal invisible hearing aids but ended up getting the behind-the-ear kind because they are nearly invisible and the worked so well during while testing the 3 brands.
