I stopped at Jane's for brunch during my Naples trip and am kind of torn on this review. It's more like 3.5, but there were a couple of loose ends that I wanted to mention. The food, their classic brunch menu, was solid. Their orange and raspberry juice was chilled, the fruit tasted fresh and I could taste the pulp (and not added sugar). In my OCDness, I ordered their eggs Benedict. I did skip the bread, but none of the ingredients were overly greasy. My only complaint was that it was brought out a little too quickly, as if It had been premade. However, the temperature was alright and I won't complain too much. On the other hand, the stuffed raspberry French toast took a while to be brought out, and I even had to remind my waiter even though I ordered it together with the eggs. Tastewise the bread was fluffy and seasoned sweetly with sweet cream, peanuts and a sprinkling of fresh raspberries. The space has both inside and outdoor dining (and is pet friendly!!) And the hostess was friendly. I'll certainly give them another shot next trip. read more

Food was awesome! I had a lobster avacado smash eggs Benedict that was to die for! Big hunks of lobster and creamy avacado was definitely in love with that gorgeous poached egg. I would give this place four stars but I ordered the Mexican Hash and asked for no green onions and it came out with green onions. I also asked for my daughters eggs to have cheddar cheese on top and it came out without the cheese. Quality control not good. Servers on their phones a lot. For our party of 8 (6 adults and 2 infants) we didn't have enough space so wouldn't recommend for bigger parties. I don't know why this place is so highly rated?its not that the food is bad, just an average lunch spot. My shrimp salad had only 4 medium shrimp so it was nothing to write home about. My wife had a tuna salad wrap...she said it reminded her of a subway wrap. It's also in an older building and the place needs some TLC. There is an abundance other restaurants in the area, so I'd recommend exploring rather than settling for mediocre. read more

What a great find, thanks to the staff at the Edgewater Hotel. Craving a good breakfast before our drive back to the east coast of Florida we were given the name of this place by our hotel along with some coupons, so we had to check it out. The garden cafe features seating on both sides of the restaurant as well as indoor seating. As much as we would have loved to sit outside, too hot so we opted in. For starters, coffee and a bloody Mary were on the menu then we went ahead and ordered our delectable breakfast. I ordered the ultimate sandwich, which contained smoked bacon, creamy brie (although i changed for white cheddar), avocado 2 eggs overheard a garlic aioli on a toasted multigrain. Amazing! With every bite you tasted the savory bacon, eggs and cheese as well as the freshness of the avocado. Also pictured, the fabulous french toast, dipped in creamy vanilla, cinnamon custard served with fresh berries. A definite must try. Our first day in Naples we decided to check out Janes cafe for brunch. The food was all great and the drinks were good as well and they came with ducks in them as well which was really entertaining for the girls. The service was great as well but there was nothing to me that stood out enough to give this 5 stars. To me it was just another run of the mill brunch place. I would go back but i definitely want to check out the other brunch places in the area first. read more

I am usually not one to post a bad review but my last visit here was terrible! It was pouring outside and decided to go for a quick bite. When we arrived the waiter were refusing to gives us a table inside claiming they were cleaning with chemicals and the odor would bother us which was not true! There was still 2 tables inside sitting and eating! we finally convinced them to give us a table inside...When we finally sat down we ordered and they messed up with our order! Jesus (our waiter) said they would change it with a terrible attitude therefore we decided not to return it and my guest couldn't eat it...Regardless of his error still charged us and didn't even apologize terrible service will not be returning. read more

This place is a true gem! The outdoor seating area is beautiful and serene. You can eat adjacent to a large water fountain with real koi fish swimming at the bottom. Tables are tucked under cool orange umbrellas which give a cool vibe to the space! We loved being to bring our fur baby to dine with us. Service was incredibly fast and efficient. Our table servers were friendly and helpful with food choices! The food was absolutely delicious! The drink presentation ( Bloody Mary) was the cutest I've ever seen! We had a extra special experience when we accidentally met the owner (Jane) who was dining with her daughter and sat right next to us! We had the best conversation and really enjoyed our time together. We will be back on our next trip to Naples. read more

Love this place. Especially during the off season is has become our favorite spot for my girlfriend and I to come too for breakfast. Even though some mornings it may rain it won't stop us from coming. The umbrella setup that Jane's has keeps most of the patio covered when it rains. The food is consistently well made and I love the selection of breakfast sandwiches. Haven't tried lunch yet, but am looking forward to it. This place doesn't have that tourist feel attached to it even though it is off 3rd downtown. Being tucked away in the courtyard with the koi pond fountain area makes it relaxing and is a wonderful spot to take a date. Update: Tried the lunches over the course of a week. We went twice. Salads are great nicely balanced and lite. I had a chicken, avacado, and bacon wrap for the special and it was excellent. My girlfriend and I are certainly fans here. read more

I was visiting from out of town when my friend and I decided to have brunch on Monday afternoon and might I say, it was pretty busy but we were seated within 5 minutes and the weather outside was perfect. Inside was a little gloomy so we opted for outside seating! Now on to the most important part, the food! We decided to share two meals and went for the lobster roll and the stuffed French toast. I'm not usually a French toast person but after this I am now LOL. It came fresh and the amount served was a great amount. The lobster roll was a little on the smaller side but the two sides you get balances it out. Both tasted amazing! I used to frequent this place when I lived in Naples 8 years ago and could say it was one of the best brunch spots in town. Unfortunately, I can't tell if it's under new ownership but it has absolutely FELL OFF. Ordered the pineapple stuffed French toast and the breakfast burrito. Both came out cold and bland, you could literally get a better breakfast for half the price at First Watch. Everything tasted massed produced which is ridiculous for the price you're paying. The iced coffee is nothing special so don't bother getting it. The server was a robot -- didn't smile or have any good energy at all, he didn't try to make any accommodations for simple requests. The restaurant wasn't even busy and he never came to check on us. He took our order, brought us our food and then dropped off the check. The most soulless dining experience ever. This place is always our "go to" when we are in Naples! The courtyard is always such a pleasant area to dine and service is always great. I ordered the lobster roll and it was pretty bad, didn't seem fresh, there was one Maine lobster claw on it and the rest were tiny pieces of lobster form the antenas! What a disappointment considering they hype this place has. If you look at the pictures you think you are going to get the best breakfast in the world. In our case, far from it. It was shockingly bad actually. The chairs as folks mentioned are loud and very difficult to move, so it wasn't comfortable but we were there for the food. We both had coffee, but it tasted like a 1950's tin can, it was terrible. Rather than bashing each dish, I can overall it was like a cheap diner or IHOP. It was not the experience I was expecting. The food is generic but may appeal to some. The Cafe off of 5th is 100x better and the food is fresh and you can see it and taste it immediately. Your experience at Jane's may be better but there are better choices and don't be fooled by the pics and hype. It is not quality at all. read more
