I've been getting my haircuts at Janey's for years, there are three barbers there including Janey, Robert and Joe. They all do a great job and are very friendly and they want you to be happy with your hair cut. read more

Me and my boyfriend walked in and he got in the chair and showed the barber a picture of what he wanted, the barber told him he didn't know how to do that so I walked up and explained what my boyfriend wanted. The barber then said okay and so forth. The barber then proceeded to do nothing we had asked for. I do not recommend going here. read more

We are a walk-in only barbershop with three experienced barbers on staff at all times. We specialize in the newest fads as well as good old fashioned haircuts. We do a lot of military haircuts, flattops, fades, tapers, hard parts, as well as longer styles. Whatever you ask for is what we strive to give you. We love doing kids haircuts and enjoy watching our small customers grow up as we get to know them and their family. Fast, friendly service!

History

Established in 2000.

I worked at a shop here in Derby for 6 and a half years until the business changed hands and then decided to open my own shop. I opened up May 2, of 2000.

I asked for no gaurd on the sides a HIGH fade and a #5 on top. This is a standard hair cut that I normally get. I just got home and looked in the mirror and I think she was closing her eyes when she was cutting my hair becauise there is NO WAY that she seen what she was doing. the back is un even the sides are un even and the fade is a low fade she single handedly made me look like forrest gump and that is not what I had asked for. I have never used snip and clip to get a hair cut and I can assure you that I never again will. My 9 year old could have done to me what this lady did,.

She went back today and told a different old lady that she just wanted the sides blended. That lady barely blended sides, but proceded to cutoff the back of the hair that my daughter did not want touched. My daughter was visibly very upset. Good luck if you go to Derby Great Clips and have either old lady cut your hair. They will jack it up. We will never go there again.
