Best botanical gardens in city. We went to the paid one and this was much better. Beautifully designed. A couple of ponds, lush foliage and tunnels. Really fun to walk around and lots of ducks and roosters. Great brunch place right in the park as well. Check it out! read more

What a fantastic spot for brunch! Jardim natural food & coffee is a cute little restaurant nestled into the botanical gardens. The wait was long on a Wednesday morning but the food was totally worth it. The kids were able to check out the ducks in the gardens and play on the playground while we waited. I ordered the sample platter dish which came with one spoon dish (I got the fresh fruit), a bagel loaded with mushrooms, crispy onions, and hollandaise sauce (I passed on the bacon), and pancakes. Everything was absolutely delicious. The juice and coffee were also great. I would definitely recommend this gem. Note: If you think you can't fit it all get the pancakes. They may have been the best pancakes I've ever had. read more

Food was great. The cucumber lemonade wasn't my kind of thing, but the pancakes definitely were. Enjoyed all the toppings on my "Salty Cakes", like the egg, avocado, and syrup. It could just be the language barrier, but none of the waiters seemed to be very interested in getting the particulars of the orders correctly. I never got my water, and mom didn't get the syrup on the side of the pancake like she wanted. Overall, a fun atmosphere, and yummy food. Chloe liked the park quite a bit! Visited 8-14-22. read more

I recommend you explore this park after going to the caves because they're nearby. My friend and I walked through the North gate and left by the South gate. It's free, so pretty, and very well-maintained, and apparently much better than the other botanical gardens down the road that you have to pay for. This one has tons of trees, flowers, and bushes from all over the world, from Australia to North America, a result of the politician, Mr. Borges, traveling and bringing them all back home. There's a few grottoes, caves, and ponds to spend a couple hours wandering through, and it's really such a fairytale to experience. Go take some beautiful photos! If you're scared of baby bats, avoid the caves! read more

Worth the trek up the hill if you have an hour or so. Very unique and surprising landscape. Enter at the top and walk south. Caves, gorges, bamboo, water, ducks. Lots of shade. Biggest tree (trunk) I have ever seen. Surprisingly it had a decent cafe and bathrooms. read more
