Ate here last Sunday, June 18th, and everything was pretty good...until...I found LARGE pieces of plastic over the last 4 pieces of sushi on both plates! I immediately stopped eating and wondered if the sushi was even made fresh that day. I did inform the manager of this and was given a $12 gift card with was close to the amount of both plates of sushi. I may return, but will ask if the sushi is made FRESH and if not it should be done so. All in all, the sushi was good, my BF enjoyed his plate, good customer service. The pad thai I have enjoyed several times. However, this review is focusing on the sushi I have ordered at Jasmine. Twice now I have ordered sushi to go. Most recently the Murray Roll and a soda was over $16. I would deal with that price if the sushi was tasty,but both times I have taken one bite, spit it out and thrown away the entire order. I gave the place a second chance because I enjoy sushi and the options in this area are limited. Both times the preparations were room temperature. On the Murray roll with avocado that means slimy. The seaweed was pungent. Upon walking into the restaurant there was a strong smell of raw fish which I find unpleasant. Disappointed and not going back for a third try on the sushi. :( read more

Excellent sushi considering it's in Murray, KY! I always order sushi but wife orders off the regular menu. She loves the orange chicken. Price is very reasonable and service has always been very good. A great value and would highly recommend. read more

My friends took me there a while back, and I was completely shocked that I had never been there before!! The service was great, atmosphere was perfect and don't even get me started on the sushi! I've had Asian food in many different cities and this place up there with the best of them. My work brings me to Murray this week and I'm considering going back to Jasmine tomorrow because it was so good! I had calamari and orange chicken. The sweet and sour sauce that came with the calamari was heavenly. And the calamari themselves were excellently fried, large, and meaty! read more

Upon walking into Jasmines, one gets the distinct feeling they are stepping into a Japanese Pagoda. One suspects there should be students there learning to snatch crickets from the hands of wizened masters. That feeling is violated but compensated by the fact that there are younger cute waitresses instead. The food is good. I generally have to have mine spiced up to "Thai levels", otherwise it is like a mellow Thai which is no kind of Thai at all. I enjoy the wireless access as well--it gives it that Asian cafe vibe. The price is probably the least enjoyable part. Something deep within me hates paying high prices for what is essentially rice. To be fair, it is GOOD rice, but expensive good rice. If this place were a little more economical I'd give it five stars. I'm a fan because the food is good, and the environment is agreeable even sans the crickets and students. I use to love Jasmines and was a regular. Their sushi is to die for but have removed several menu items that were some of the favorites and service has gone down the tube. I may give Jasmines one last try but if the service is still terrible, I will not be returning. read more

Very good Thai food. I love the fried rice with chicken it is the best in town. I wish they would offer a lettuce wrap option without all of the curry, it seems like a high liter was busted in the bowl and leaves an odd taste. Overall a great place to dine in Murray read more

We tried this place about a year ago and wasn't impressed. We were in town yesterday and decided to give it another try. So glad we did! Everything was awesome! The service was great! Love the ginger dressing on the salad, spicy tuna roll was awesome, I had drunken noodles and it was delightfully spicy and so tasty. Husband had basil fried rice and asked for "make him cry" spice level and they got it right. He said it was perfect. We will definitely be going back soon. read more

Anyone who thinks that this is genuine Thai has been subsisting on TV dinners. However it is one of the few places in town with a half way pleasant environment, so for that I give it kudos. Very disappointed that it is does not offer the real deal however. read more

DO NOT EAT AT JASMINES if you have Celiac's or a gluten sensitivity or allergy!! I was excited to go here because I was told they now have gluten free options. I checked on this when I went in. The host assured me that they could make most of their dishes gluten free, except for the Pad Thai. Lo Mein was on the menu and I specifically asked "The Lo Mein noodles are gluten free?" "Oh yes" was the reply. "They don't have any wheat?" No, they are egg noodles. I had the exact same conversation with the waiter. Both repeatedly assured me that the Lo Mein was gluten free. After eating about half of it I started getting a massive headache. I asked the waiter to check with the chef about the brand of noodles. I checked and that brand does not carry gluten free noodles. I asked the waiter to please ask the chef what the first 3 ingredients are in the noodles. He comes back and says " Wheat flour, water, eggs" Wheat flour?" I asked. "Yeah, is that bad?" I explain to him that wheat is the primary source of gluten. He brings over the manager. The manager checks. Comes back and tells me the noodles are only 2.4% gluten, which, if you know anything about wheat, you know is a crock of sh**. Then asks me if I want them to make me something else. As if I would trust them to do that. I ask her if they are going to pay my hospital bill. She says "no" I ask her if she realizes that it is very possible that I could end up in the hospital. She says "yes" then offers again to make me something else. Tells me that there will have to be some re-training done. Talk about understatement of the year. They obviously do not understand or care about the seriousness of the situation or about the agony I will endure for the next week or more. read more
