Following a cross continent road trip, our aging micro-van needed an oil change which we called a day ahead to reserve. On our way to Jasper our undercarriage fell down and was dragging, and our aircon developed a leak. In spite of a heavy load of cars to deal with, they fit us in, provided thoughtful solutions and detailed advice, in a courteous and respectful manner that we much appreciated, and with charges that felt very reasonable. Americans watch out. My trailer tire picked up a screw and I asked them to plug it. They used a leather plug and it went about 80 miles before leaking. Overcharged me too. Finally went to a Good Year tire shop for a proper rubber plug. A gyp joint. read more

John H Calgary This place can basically charge what they want as they are the only service in town. Had a screw in my tire which they charged $60 to fix a 5 minute job. Went on Amazon and bought a tire plug repair kit. Go youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N55sqDfMofg shows how easy to fix the tire. Another person had a flat in the Yukon cost him $23. Definitely price gouging as they are the only service in town. I posted this on Google as well. But Google must be biased toward Jasper Tire as the post never showed up in the reviews. Call ahead and make an appointment. You'd think that being the only auto shop close to Jasper they would have better customer service and more than one employee. A man in front of me had a flat tire that might not be able to be repaired and 'JASPER TIRE' did not know if they had any TIRES to replace it. Another couple in front of me had their car towed there and it had been sitting for 3 days with no work. I simply needed my car scanned and yet no I was turned down with no alternative suggestions. Had a flat tire repaired with this Auto Centre. There charges are excessive for a 5 minute fix. Like a previous reviewer I had a screw in my tire and was overcharged for the fix. My suggestion to anybody travelling is to pickup tire plug kit for $14. There are 11 plugs in the kit to fix 11 leaks. Here is a link to Youtube on how to fix a tire with a screw in the tire. Had a leak in the Yukon and the service centre charged me a 1/3 of the price Jasper Tire did. They basically have a monopoly on fixing tire with screws in the tire. read more

I came into jasper on a road trip during a snow storm and my car was getting snow into the air intake blocking the air filter. I just needed an air compressor to blow out the packed in snow. I went into jasper tire and they were backed up for days but the very nice man in the back offered to take a car out of one of the bays to quickly help me out so I could continue my trip. He was extremely helpful and I really appreciated how they went the extra mile to help me out. read more

Absolute worst customer service - my teenage son broke down just out front of their shop they said they couldn't fix his truck for 2 weeks fair enough your busy BUT they refused to even run a quick diagnostic test to see if it could even be fixed ( I offered to pay) and to top it all off they refused to help him push his truck off the middle of the street to the curb that was in front of their shop !!!!! so he pushed it himself into the parking lot and was told he will be towed if he doesn't move it ???? what part of it is not running do you not get - terrible people who wouldn't take 10 min to help a young man in trouble - shame on you !!! read more

my trailer picked up a screw and i asked them to plug it back up. i wanted a rubber plug but they put a LEATHER PLUG!!!!. After about 35 km it started leaking, so if you have any Vehicle issues, just skip this place and go to the auto shot in valemont if you can, its way better and i got the proper rubber plug read more

If your car needs any service other than tires do not take it here, go to Peak Automotive around the corner. I was visiting from the US when my car started overheating. I took it Jasper Tire & Auto and asked them to change the thermostat for me. Instead I get a call a few hours later telling me that it's a blown head gasket and my car is now a piece of scrap. They were not helpful at all with helping me figure out how or where to get it fixed. The most I got out of them was "Well you can't abandon it here, its a national park." Thanks guys. I'm glad I found Dennis at Peak Automotive, he changed the thermostat for me and I drove my car home over 1,000 miles just fine. I've had it checked out here and its not a blown head gasket, had a leaky radiator hose and some other minor issues. It's hard to describe the amount of frustration felt wasting time on vacation to deal with a non existent car issue, especially one that supposedly made my car undriveable. You would think that before they pronounce someones car as dead they would actually take a little time to do a proper diagnosis. Probably the most knowledgeable and honest mechanics I have ever met. I went in thinking I was going to have to pay alot for an engine problem for new parts and labour to install. They managed to sort it out and luckily it was only a small portion of the expected cost to resolve. They could have easily just ripped out the old parts and charged me for them and I would not have known. Thanks for looking out for the customer! read more

If you need a tire repaired in Jasper, go here. They say that they can order in new tires in from Edmonton in one day, such as low profile tires. I just hope you don't need run-flat tires; these guys seem to know how, but they say not many know even how to take those off. read more

Excellent service, very busy in the summer months but squeezed me in regardless and got back on the road after they sent us for lunch at the Patricia street deli. Highly recommended both local businesses even though they can be challenging to find. Also like to note the shop hrly rate is less than edmonton and the deli sandwiches were outstanding! I was driving through Jasper and my check engine light came on. My first call to Skyline Auto got me a recording saying that they were booked up till July. My second call, thankfully, was to Jasper Tire & Auto. They told me to drive right over & they'd take a look! Not long after it was done, they had done the diagnostic and cleaned my spark plugs for around $100 and they even charged my backup battery for me. These guys really saved me. I would have been worried to death but now I have peace of mind for the rest of my trip. read more

If you're new to town, I suggest you don't go here. Impersonal service and disorganized. Went in for a seasonal tire change and balancing. They were not balanced and my car shook at 100-120km/h. When I went back they wouldn't make space for me despite it being their mistake. I went in again a second time and they had no room so I returned the fallowing week and the guy tried to say after balancing that I had never gotten the tires put on there. Guy was rude about it. Got my alternator replaced here -- but they only tightened 1 of 3 bolts holding it in place. Luckily I had to change the belt as well so I caught the error a few days later, but not very impressed they didn't catch this. read more
