I love Java. The staff is very friendly. The salon is customer driven. They welcome you with a complimentary cocktail of your choice and they sit you down in these anti gravity chairs that are AWESOME. If you're cold, they give you a blanket. If you want to rest, they give you a eye mask. This place is awesome on so many levels. I always feel at home when I'm there. The salon is a little pricy but I don't mind paying because the experience is worth it. I always leave happy and very relaxed. read more

Just had a basic manicure, paid $25 for it ( standard rate for Java), which is double the price at most places. I didn't get anything to drink, since they didn't have bottled water. Unfortunately the nail tech is doing a disservice to this company. Typically a basic mani includes skin care as well, such as a quick massage, even scrub. This nail tech shaped my nails, applied cuticle cream, pushed cuticles back, clipped them and then apllied base, 2 coats and top coat. After which she put a drop of lotion above my wrists on my forearms with a single sweep. No massage, no skin care. Cuticles look messy after her work. The attitude was very poor. Salon was dead at 3pm on Tuesday. I also did not get a receipt. No thank you. Needless to say I cancelled the pedicure and she said "Perfect" and walked away. Owner beware. You may be losing more customers than just myself. I won't be going back. read more

The atmosphere is great. The free drinks are a nice touch.. The woman who did my daughters mani pedi was great as was the woman who did my sculpted nails. But the pedicure was awful. I got shellac and the position that she made me put my feet in was very uncomfortable. Then i asked for a design which was so bad i had to have her remove it. At this point i had been there 3 hours and told her to stop. Never had the massage or foot rub or any of the good stuff you get from a pedicure. Then the bill was $187! What a cute little salon! A friend and I decided to give this place a try one Sunday morning and we are so glad we did! Made reservations 2 days before and when we arrived only had to wait a few minutes. We sipped on mimosas while we waited. We both got luxury pedicures, very nice. I also got an eyebrow wax right in the same massage chair where I was getting my pedicure. After our fabulous pedicures, we moved to the "manicure bar" where my friend got a manicure while we both continued to sip cocktails. The place is so clean compared to your everyday nail salon that are a dime a dozen. If you want to be pampered and have an experience like none other, this is the place to go! I was so excited to try this new nail spa! They have created a spa atmosphere and offer the most relaxing massage chairs for your pedicures. I tried the spa pedicure which was phenomenal. It lasted almost an hour and included a salt scrub, moisturizing treatment, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the fantastic "zero gravity" massage chairs. The other perks at the nail spa include a full bar, coffee, cookies, and non alcoholic beverages. The nail technicians are very professional and knowledgeable. Having a full bar was a nice touch but we didn't really know what to drink with the girl just saying we have mimosa wine and champagne and a "full bar" didn't help because I wanted a mixed drink and wasn't sure if they did that. Felt a weee bit rushed so just ordered the champagne. The pedicure was a okay pedicure not much massage on the leg it was more of slow imperfect work being done the whole 1 hour. and my big toe is round and others are square. The polished is not capped on the edge of it and the callus on my pinky toe was not remove leaving a sharp rough spot. The day after I shower I could exfoliate my foot with the other! 1 star for sanitation 1 star for vinylux Polish and the "full bar" Nice experiance but not worth 40 min drive and $49 pedicure. read more

On Friday, January 2, 2015, my partner and I came in for a couples manicure and pedicure. I made the appointment on Wednesday for 6:00pm. Upon entering the venue, we were greeted and then left to stand around for about ten minutes in the lobby. The representative informed us that two pedicure stations were out of order and therefore our manicure would start first. Well, after being seated for approximately fifteen minutes, no one came to start the manicures. When I inquired about the delay in service, we were informed a discount would be applied to our bill. However, I never inquired about a discount. I simply wanted the service that we respectfully made a reservation for. The manicure was executed with a cuticle remover which was rather uncomfortable and unprofessional. In conclusion, our evening plans were delayed due to the time delay at Java Nails and I had to reschedule another manicure at Majestic Nails to correct the service from Java Nails. read more

Great atmosphere! First visit off a recommendation. My nail tech was very nice and expedient. I do wish my shellac had some attention to detail. Edges a bit rough and minor spots on sides of some nails missed. The shape and French part of mani is fine. A wee bit more on the exfoliating of the feet would be better. My one star review at Java Nails is not because of the service or the staff. In all honestly the staff is friendly and attentive and they have tons of color options. They did a good job and even gave me wine (always a plus) The services I had done were a simple pedicure and shellac manicure. My bill was $89, which didn't even include tax! Great service Java Nails, but these prices are comparable to what I would pay at a five star resort spa. Please give your customers a heads up! These prices have not always been so high and this was a total surprise. In addition, I am one week into my shellac mani and one nail is already beginning to peel. read more

Stopped in here because I was in the area and thought I would give them a try. The place is pretty enough, a relatively new building, but I was not happy with the cleanness. I did not feel the tech had followed proper procedures for sanitation, at least not to my standards. The management seems disinterested in how things are done, but more concerned with moving people in and out. I went to their Gateway location (Java Spa) a couple of weeks ago and had the worst experience. But I decided to come back and give it another shot. When I scheduled my appointment, I specifically asked for the Daniels (Java Nails) location. And I'm so glad I gave it another try! I got a shellac manicure with Tiana, and she did an amazing job. She helped me pick out my color, took extra time to remove the previous polish, shaped my nails and did an excellent job painting them. Afterwards, she did a hand massage with some wonderful smelling guava lotion (something that didn't happen last time). I'm glad I decided to come back. I went to Java Nails as a walk in. I filled out a form which nobody looked at and got a $42 pedicure.The antigravity chair was great, the sugar scrub - awesome, the hot towels - wonderful... The pedicure was not. I've been getting a pedicure for 25 years.. I know what to expect. The girl doing the pedicure was young and inexperienced. My cuticles were not cut, she did not clean under the nails and when she was finished with the polish, she sprayed them and told me to leave in 5 minutes because they would be dry. Typically there is a machine to dry your nails... not here. After 10 minutes I lightly touched the polish and it was still tacky. The pedicurist came out and told me to leave. I explained that my nails were still tacky and she says to wear the flimsy foam slippers to my car. Meanwhile, I had a business meeting to go and I wasn't aware that the drying process consisted of a light spray and a get out! I waited a bit longer and attempted to put my sandals on and messed up the polish. Long story short - she redid two of the three toes with smudged polish. The third being my big toe which is still messed up after she put additional two layers of paint on them to "fix it". I did end up leaving with the flimsy foam flip flops on, cancelled my meeting and went back to my office to allow my pedicure to dry. The wine and the ambiance are nice.. so are the chairs, however, a pedicure is a pedicure. You want to leave with beautiful polished feet. I did not. All the relaxing that I did in that wonderful chair was offset by feeling ripped off for $42 while I repainted my toe nails myself!Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. I used to love going here when it first opened, I could have a couple of drinks in a fun atmosphere and relax with friends while having my nails done. Unfortunately over time, the prices increased (a lot!) and it seemed as though the employees have had some tough times dealing with the owner. They would only give you one glass of wine instead of two, regardless of the services and for a shellac mani and pedi it would cost over $100! The last straw for me was when I brought my mother there for her birthday as a present. I had a $50 gift card to use so we each got a shellac mani, spa pedi and my mom had her eyebrows waxed. After the gift card my bill was still $170 before tip!!! I am sorry but that is absolutely insane! I asked for a detailed receipt because it wasn't given to me with my debit card and the hostess asked me if I was questioning the charges. It was pretty rude and if you are going to pay an arm and a leg for mediocre services, I should at least be able to get a receipt. It was also completely dead in there on a Friday night when it used to be insanely busy so I know that I am not the only one that feels this way. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE! I used to love going here, friendly staff and wonderful owners. But ever since the new owner took over things have gone completely downhill. I have visited here 4 times to give them the benefit of doubt since the new owner took over. She is extremely unfriendly and does not say "hi" or acknowledge customers and walks around with a scowl on her face. The cleanliness has gone downhill. The "nail tool" kit the girl carry around looked filthy. and the towels were ratty with holes in them. They used to serve amazing cocktails, and fiji water now they have no selection extra ultra cheap drinks (ie: barefoot wine) and last visit gave me water in a dirty glass. (come on- bottle water is $0.15 each at costco- for $50 I expect a little more) Every time i go in there the girls and the owner are sitting in the corner on their cell phones. Very unprofessional. I feel as if this place does not appreciate customers or want your business. Also, 3 out of 4 times i went the girls did not do a good job on my manicure/ pedicure. Owner is too busy looking on her cellphone to even check the quality of work. If you want to feel unappreciated and unwanted as a customer, go here. Java was quite a bit pricier than my normal Salon, and I heard it was special, so I saved the experience for my wedding mani/pedi. I gathered some of my bridesmaids, and we all went to the salon for mimosas and pampering a few days before my wedding. At first sight, I was really disappointed with the condition of the salon. Not the "fancy" experience I was expecting for the price of the services, and the staff was dressed pretty sloppy- some as if they were going to a club. My next disappointment was the selection of colors available. There weren't that many to choose from, and I settled on a neutral color that wasn't exactly what I was hoping for for my big day. Next we noticed the one drink maximum for each service. We're not lushes (all the time), but cleared the day to have a nice, long, pampering experience with a few cocktails, and that was not what was offered. The mani/pedi was average quality and unfortunately, there were no hand & foot massages included with the services. (The brushed on lotion was really nice, but again, I was really hoping for some wedding week pampering for my bridesmaids & I - especially for the high prices of the services.) All in all, it was a below average experience for above average prices, and I found my self regretting not going to my regular salon and spending a lot less. read more

The worse experience ever! Just facts: Wait time - good, I had an appointment. Got a mani and pedi my tech was nice and polite. My friend's tech, not good at all. Lacked confidence and did a crappy job. You could still see the old nail polish ( blue) on the new pedi ( pink) 3 out of 5 had blue on the ends/ sides The music was super loud and not relaxing They were playing jersey shore on TV My friend decided to upgrade to a facial, eyebrow, mani and pedi. Never happened ;( they said after the mani she would get her facial but after her mani they said 15 minutes, then ignored us. 30 minutes later we decided to just pay for the services and leave. ( we were there for over two and half hours) The receptionist decided to help and remove a customer gel nails( don't think she was even allowed,because of florida's license is needed to perform any service) Then another customer asked for hot tea, the receptionist decided to make her the tea without washing her hands !! Oh wait, she opened the package and used her fingers to place the tea bag inside the cup! Again with dirty hands since she was touching the other customers nails ( no gloves).i mentioned loud enough and my tech just smile and didn't say anything. ( I was expecting her to pull her aside and have her wash and redo the tea) but no. Another tech ( red hair) was chewing gum so loud and was so unpolished and unprofessional. She kept interrupting our conversation and at one point I just decided to text my friend instead of talking. So back to trying to check out. I left a 20 % tip. Took almost 10 minutes to her to run my CC. Same thing with my friends GC. After a couple of minutes she asked if we knew if a receipt would print? We looked at her and said we don't know your computer system sorry!? Well I left more stressed and annoyed My friends nails were bad. The mani was bad the cuticles were not removed correctly. The pedi was ... A mix of old and new colors. This was my second time and besides loving the gravity chair, blanket and the pillow.... I can't say nothing good. I went to this salon today based purely on how it looked from the outside. Being from out of town, basing a book by its cover was really all I had to go by. When I walked in (I didn't have an appt) I was told that they could see me in 45 min, which was fine cause I could run and get some errands done. Anyway, my appt was at 4pm, I sat in a chair with my feet in a bowl for 20 min before my pedicurist came over. I had originally come in for a mani and pedi. By 5pm she was still only on my cuticles. I had asked her what were the chances that I would be done with just my toes by 5:15 and she told me I wouldn't get my foot massage. Fine, whatever, I just needed to be somewhere by 5:30 ( how crazy to think an hour and a half would be enough for a mani pedi) at 5:16 she causally looked at clock and said "almost made it" ..... She still had a whole other foot to paint. She messed up the paint putting on my flip flops and then still charged me $49 for the half pedicure. On top of that, 3 1/2 hours later, my paint is still wet and all of my toes are scraping off. This place was awful, overpriced and flat out bad. My experience at Java Nails & Event Lounge was way beyond my expectations! I came here with a group of friends a few weeks ago. We reserved the space from 5 to 8 p.m. When I walked in it looked very chic and stylish. They were very welcoming, which made me feel more comfortable. I liked that they were interacting with all of us. It made it that much more enjoyable! I enjoyed the complimentary snacks and alcoholic beverages that were given to us. We had the option of either a manicure or a pedicure or you could get both. I got a gel manicure, and they looked great! They lasted a long time. However, the shellac machine they used on my nails was not working properly so the girl had to redo my nails. It took twice as long, but in the end they turned out great. Even though I did not get to experience the massage chairs, my friends said they loved it and it was their favorite part.
