We had Cappuccinos, Cinnamon Roll Waffles with Blueberries, pecans and fresh cream, Turkey Rio savory crepe, and Peaches and Cream sweet crepe. Best food I've put in my mouth in the last 3 days around Pagosa. You can do takeout or eat at a picnic table there. Service is above and beyond. I'm always keeping an eye out for the bounty on a good cup of Java, so when I was flying by and saw the red wagon for Java The Cup, I just had to stop, and I am so happy I did! The lady running the red wagon just outside of the Wal-Mart really knows how to make a Death Wish Coffee Latte, just what I wanted! They also have amazing looking food, (in this case the guy before me had a crepe I would have ordered had I not already just had breakfast!), and they have a variety of other on-the-go goodies to take with you. This spot might not be open in November, so be sure to drop by and pick up a hot coffee before they go for the season! Pro Tip: They also have a loyalty punch-card in case you're a local - who can argue with free coffee?! So understand this is not fast food but an experience of culinary presentation. My wife ordered the "Turkey Rio" pictured. I ordered the Monte Christo but ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture! You can eat there on site or it comes in a to-go box if you want to take it home. "Death Wish coffee" is to die for!! Especially the Mexican Spices Mocha. Located at the entrance of Walmart this little gem is a great find. The barista working speaks with so much passion and enthusiasm for everything they offer here. From death wish espresso, to every kind of coffee you can think of, savory crepes, sweet crepes and even daily soups. We had the strawberry cheesecake and caramel apple crepes, espresso and a dirty chai all of which were delicious. Wonderful steamed Chai with Espresso shot and vanilla whip cream..thanks to suggestions from barista. My daughter had the white chocolate latte, also with the vanilla whip, which she really enjoyed. We split a savory crepe (burrito) with egg, cheese and avocado. Delish! Chipotle sauce - on side was a nice touch.
