I have had many Philadelphia rolls at various places and never have I had one taste so terrible! Staff was pleasant. No inside dining due to covid, but yet none of the staffers was wearing a mask which makes no sense to me at all. This place only has outside dining and they have plans to reopen inside dining on Friday and Saturday only, but will remain having the sushi bar closed. It was my first time here so my standard go-to order is chirashi. This enables me to get a pretty good idea of their presentation skills, different fish and rice quality, and an overall happiness score. Others ordered a variety of rolls where the favorite one was the Salmon Adams roll (salmon, tempura crunchy flakes and crispy onions I think?). Both thumbs up for all areas with regards to the chirashi. I loved the fish choices they made along with the fact that they were fresh, firm, flavorful and pretty nice sized. The variety of additional items (seaweed salad, marinated mushrooms, etc) in the bowl also increased my happiness score. The rice was super tasty and just right! Our server Jenny was a joy. She was on top of everything and very knowledgeable on what they carried there. She shared with us her favorites and was very personable. They also had a Japanese beef curry bowl for $2. Terrible experience tonight. We called ahead about an hour before they close, knowing it's a 15 minute drive away. We were told it was a 20 minute wait, and we let them know we'd be in in about 15 minutes. We arrived 45 minutes before close, and we're told they were no longer seating people. Why tell us on the phone that there's a 20 minute wait and let us confirm we're coming and 15 away? The hostess proceeded to tell us they closed in 20 minutes. I had to triple check my watch and ask that they closed at 8:45. It was 8:05 at that point. It makes no sense to tell your customers to come in if you're not seating any longer. It's also confusing posting hours if you don't intent to keep them. We could have gone elsewhere in time before it got this late. We are very frustrated with this whole experience with Jaws. read more

Customer service was the best part of my experience here! Don't get me wrong..the fresh sushi was amazing! I tried the Kim K roll and I got some escolar. Highly recommend both! The sushi chef that was making my roll struck up a convo with me just topping off the whole customer service bit. The parking was a breeze! I will def be back to try more! read more

This is actually a 3 1/2 star review. The service was really hit and miss and we wound up with three different servers waiting on us. We were asked several times if so and so had taken our order and my water glass was empty without a hope of a refill without me prompting for one. The food was decent. We ordered the seaweed salad - good but had, I believe, daikon on the bottom which was watery and without much flavor. The spicy edamame was also an appetizer which we all found way too heavy on the spice without a lot of balance. We didn't even finish it. For our main we did a variety of rolls. The top picks included the Salmon L Jackson roll, Mr. Rogers roll and the yellowtail roll. All good. For dessert we finished out with mochi which is my favorite! My roommate had her birthday in February and we decided to walk from campus to Jaws Sushi. Although it was slammed, we were seated relatively quickly and ordered quickly. The menu is well put together and our server was friendly and informative (she had dark hair and tattoos, if I remember correctly). Food was great and moderately priced - which was surprising because a lot of sushi places are extremely expensive. I went in with low expectations and was surprised by the excellence of our meals. I really want to give them more stars than 5! First off, this is a smaller place than it looked like from the outside. There is some seating at the sushi bar, then at a drinks bar, some tables around the room, a central communal table and a patio. We sat at the sushi bar and were glad we did. The server on duty was pretty busy, but very friendly. The sushi chef in front of us was very helpful and informative. But, enough of that - we all like to hear about the food! A lot of yelp photos show the innovative rolls. I am more a traditionalist. These rolls with sauces and cream cheese and jalapenos and crunchies look like what my young niece adores. And apparently lots of people like these. Me, I like nigiri, gunkan maki, batera sushi, makizushi ... the plain stuff. And - JAWS excels at both styles and more. We had mackerel, white anchovy, tamago as nigiri. Salmon eggs with quail eggs - a favorite. A salmon skin roll and a natto roll filled out our sushi order. Everything was top notch. We also had a hamachi kama (which sounds better than yellowtail jaw). This is a broiled bit of heaven. The hamachi is tender and rich. And at $8 - a positive steal. Actually everything on the menu was well priced. Even the draft Sapporo beer was only $3! We kept staring into the kitchen at what turned out to be the lunch special. You get one regular roll (your choice) and a chum bucket or a dynamite bowl for $9. The dynamite bowl is rice topped with a mix of fish and dynamite sauce. This is baked - you can turn it into a chum bucket by adding sriracha sauce and fried crispy onions. This looks delish and very filling. You can upsize to 2 rolls and the bowl for $12. This is certainly one of the best priced sushi places I have been to in a long time, and it is fresh, tasty and friendly too. Will be back! read more

After trying 5 more sushi bars since moving here two weeks ago, we decided this was the best, and went back tonight. LOVE the crazy menu and roll names...loved even more the chefs are willing to make custom rolls! The salmon was recommended and went beyond our wildest expectations! Tried the spinach, artichoke and REAL crab dip...odd for a sushi bar but woweeee....fabulous! This will definitely be our go-to place for sushi!! Update: we go to Jaws at least once a week now. Their fish is so fresh and they get new things in frequently...and have added to their already spectacular menu. This is a pretty solid sushi place in Fort Collins. There is a large outdoor patio seating area and lots of seating inside as well.
