Donut holes where super fresh and fluffy even at 2:30pm first bite I knew I had to leave a review shop is nice and has lotto inside and great nice prompt service.

Donuts are not their bread and butter.

Was at Kaiser Permanente hospital across the street for an early appointment and was given an estimated wait time of 1.5 hours, so decided to go to the nearest donut shop. I'm not from around Harbor City, so I used my GPS which took us south on PCH to a gas station. This spot is right across the street from the emergency room. *Pandemic Yellow Tier Review* PARKING. Parked in the L-shaped parking lot. Parking is tight. COVID19 PRECAUTIONS. Went in and it was crowded. No social distancing. Standing room only. It was as if the pandemic did not exist here, but only existed in the hospital across the street. Not to say no precautions were taken. I mean, they did have a barrier between employee and customer and a sign to keep a 6' distance, but that's about it. PASTRIES. I did not get a donut, but got a plain croissant for myself and an apple turnover for mom. She decided not to get a donut because, in her opinion, the texture did not look good. She's a true donut connoisseur. I just like French Crullers, but was not feeling it this morning. Croissant was standard. Typical order-in frozen, let thaw, and bake type of croissant. Outside was flaky and golden, and inside was buttery and soft. No hard crust at the bottom and no apparent eggwash. All is good. COFFEE. Basic donut shop coffee, which is more of a blonde watered down mess, but somedays you want a blonde roast instead of espresso or dark roast. No mad here either. COFFEE STATION. So, here's where most if the disappointment comes. Coffee cup lids were staggered on trays. I guess I can appreciate that my coffee lid was potentially not handled my anyone else, but I would have rather had it given to me from the counter instead of out in the open. Half and half were in metal tea pots. White granulated sugar were in re-purposed creamer containers. LOTTERY. This looks to be the spot for lottery tickets and scratchers. Of the 5 people in line before me, not one ordered coffee or donuts. The same person handling transactions for lottery tickets, scratchers, and cash is the same person handling your food. Maybe it is safer to keep the coffee lids out in the open. This place is 24-hours and most likely I'll be back out of convenience when visiting the hospital. Will buy lottery tickets next time when it's not as crowded.

Great little donut shop that also sells all kinds of juices and even sandwiches. They also have Boba. My personal favorite is the mixed juice where you get carrot orange and apple juice off fresh squeezed mixed together. It's heaven. You've just got to give it a try. Sometimes the people hanging out in this establishment leave a little to be desired but what can you say or do. Still love this place.

Walked in for a coffee and croissant. They make the coffee fresh so that's a good plus. Other than that it's a normal 24/7 donut shop.

There ok, I wouldn't go again. There glaze donuts are not that good. They taste like regular loaf bread with a little tiny bit of glaze.

Sidecar might change your mind about cake donuts…read more I'm usually a raised-donut person, but these are different. Fresh, they eat more like a pastry--super moist, rich without being heavy, and none of that dry crumble. Chocolate (Valrhona) is the one--deep, smooth, perfectly tender. The vegan strawberry matcha is a sleeper hit--the strawberry glaze smells like a field of ripe berries and actually makes you pause before the first bite, with the matcha keeping it grounded. They only had two raised that day, but both delivered. Vanilla was soft and airy, and the huckleberry had that bright tart-sweet glaze with zero fake flavor. Only note: don't over-order. Next day = noticeably more crumbly. Go, pick a few, eat them fresh. Clean plate club.

However, if you venture in the area on a weekend - it could be harder to find secure a spot. Over the years I've had their Huckleberry, Butter & Salt, Strawberry Buttermilk donuts from the regular menu. I've got a personal soft spot for the Huckebwrey & Saigon Cinnamon Crumb donuts (when available). Are the donuts pricy? Yes, but only because the flavor profiles are unique compared to standard shops open 24/7. Beverage wise, I've only had tried their chai and matcha lattes. Nothing negatively notable nor special, but they don't taste terrible. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to try the drinks since the cups are small for the amount of $ you pay. Service is quick here since the shop is so small and tends to fill up. The employees are great about answering customer questions to help guide patrons on what to purchase.

Review #986 2026-056…read more Food Order: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95 Another one bites the dust... bada dum dum dum... During my freebies birthday run yesterday, I was planning on going to Old Ferry Donut after picking up a boba next door, only to find the shop closed. \(`0´)/ Known for unique flavors & vibrant retro-pop 70s branding (cute hamster mascot with bold orange & brilliant blue colors; it's featured on 2-/4-donut boxes), this Korean-inspired premium donut shop originated in Seoul a decade ago before expanding to several S. CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. Service was alright... I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street. The Butter Pistachio is a major hit... fluffy & light, a slightly chewy yeasty donut stuffed with a mildly sweet whipped pistachio cream filling & topped with a salty-sweet buttery streusel... how can you not be addicted? And totally worth it! Crème Brûlée is also popular for its delicate, crackly caramelized sugar crust & airy brioche dough that's filled with a rich vanilla custard. Good flavor, but maybe on the older side? Since it's been sitting for awhile, it lost that fresh fluffy texture & was kinda dry. I really liked the Lemon Poppyseed; it's right up there with Butter Pistachio. The lemon glaze is just the right amount of sweet & tart, & the donut was fresh & fluffy! The Raspberry Ring is pretty good, matching that sweet & tart of Lemon Poppyseed, but I like the citrus zing of the latter more. What's different is the former has a raspberry jam filling in addition to a glaze & the latter is just a yeast donut with fruity glaze. Kids didn't say much about Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream... I figure you can't go wrong with these flavors. The filling might have been a bit much as I saw the cream oozing out of the donut & onto my LO's face & shirt. His sister was slightly better at containing the custard blob. LOL With premium prices, It's debatable if Old Ferry's donuts are worth it... quality, freshness, & size. Hmmm... I like them & their creative flavors, but they're a tad too sweet & not as "fresh" in comparison to SD&C. Sad to see Old Ferry Donut permanently gone from the South Bay, but they still have locations in San Gabriel & Buena Park if you're willing to take a drive. Recommended: Boston Cream $3.95 Butter Pistachio $4.95 Cookies & Cream $3.95 Crème Brûlée $4.95 Lemon Poppyseed $3.95 Raspberry Ring $3.95
