Be careful and check your credit card statements. Jax signed me up for a monthly program without my knowledge or consent. From other reviews I have seen, this has happened to other customers as well. This is not a case of my misunderstanding what I was buying as the customer service person tried to imply. This is a case of deceptive practices on the part of an employee. Because I live so far from their RT 64 location, I would never get a full benefit from a monthly plan. The way this car wash is NOW being run is totally different than when Tony owned the car wash. This corporate company does not care about the customer. Mammoth has been raising the prices since they bought the wash. They used to allow 2 holds a year when you purchase the unlimited wash. Now they DO NOT ALLOW you to do that. The people with other homes in the summer it does not work anymore to use them. BUT, they did not communicate with the customer. They just told you when you came in to find out how much time you have left on their program. NO MORE HOLDS..ONLY can purchase monthly programs. Now yearly is $720 a year, before it was $320 , then raised it to $407 and now ????? I have been trying to get a refund from them and have not heard back from them. THEY ARE RIPPING THE PUBLIC OFF.. I have had 2 cars in their program....I am owed a lot of money from them. 1 car I did not even start this year since we dive it so little. I was offered "unlimited car washes for the month for an additional $5" I asked specifically if this was just a one-time fee and I was assured that it was. So when I saw a recurring charge on my bill for the following month, I immediately called them and they would not remove the charge or honor ANY washes for the $55 they charged me. This is a really nice car wash! I love that I can bring my work with me while my car is getting detailed. They have computers I can use and wireless. They have a massage chair in the waiting room along with free popcorn and coffee. They also have vending machines and a really nice sitting area inside and out that you can enjoy. Weird, but this car wash is a great place to just hang out. They even have good taste in music. Side note: on their brochure it says they support military, police and other emergency services. I moved to the East Coast. However, I have family and friends on the West Coast. Clear Sunset Car Wash is my to go place if needing car care service. While visiting Sarasota or making a stop on our travels to the West Coast. Their customer service and friendly Staff. Are exceptional. Very professional, no problems or complaints on my part. If any minor details had to be corrected, they would immediately address it. I preferred purchasing the Package Service Card. Doing the math made it quite obvious the Savings are worth it. Yes, there the very busy times vary based on the usual. Lunch hours(Give the Hospitable Staff a call. Simply ask. How are things flowing?) they are superb at providing the info you need. Please, do take into account they are also multitasking by taking care of counter service. I totally enjoy. Pulled up wondered why car in front of me left without wash. When I pulled I I found out. They are NOT doing interior clean or wipe downs unless you sign up for unlimited washes...(?).... I left as well without a wash. Not pressuring us into that. Inside 5 minutes two cars pulled away leaving almost $ 100 on the table. I have been an unlimited pass member for almost 5 years. the service has consistently gone down hill. most times my car comes out dirty, I wash my car at least once a week. the equipment is old, frequently is not working. it was months before the broken air blowers were replaced. a professional organization should update their equipment. the employees are too interested in being on their phones to do their jobs. A few weeks ago, my truck received some minor damage (partially my fault) while going through the washing tunnel. After bringing it to their attention I was pleasantly surprised as to their professionalism, their responsiveness and their process to deal with such issues. They took full responsibility and corrected it by fully repairing my truck. Rob and his team were excellent and kept me up to date during the whole process. Other business should take note! I was a member here for a long time in their unlimited car wash program. When I went in last summer they told me that I no longer had a membership, so I started going to one of the new places closer to my home.. I just noticed on my credit card bill that they were still charging me, so I went there today around noon. There was only one other customer in sight. It used to be packed. When I pulled up for the towel dry there were five or six employees standing around. One finally came over and did a quick wipe down of part of my car. The only door he opened was the driver door as he saw I had tip in hand. The owner should pay closer attention to his customers. One of the worst experiences. Purchased the highest level of cleaning and confirmed the service to be done. Interior cleaning was obviously done too fast to be acceptable. Before getting my keys asked if the windows were cleaned inside and received confirmation. The car was already fairly clean before entering the car wash, just few areas needed attention. Had to drive back to the car wash to have windows redone and even after the 2nd visit ended up cleaning the windows, door jam, interior molding myself at home. this was my 1st and last visit to this facility. read more

We've been loyally supporting this establishment for years. The staff has always been friendly and they work to resolve any issue. While two stars might be a cheap shot on my part based on the above, it's on par with the cheap shot management/ownership is making to hold pricing and reduce services. A $16 "better" car wash and I'm told I now (only) have the option of a dash towel or an air freshener; but they can't give both. Raise the price by a quarter if your margins are that thin on reclaimed water and soap and give you staff the ability to say "yes" to loyal customers instead of making them say no. It'll go a long way toward encouraging people to continue a premium for your product. read more

When I write a negative review it's because that's how I truly feel, not because I want something free. Having said that, today was the first time I returned. The gentleman even threw in a free ceramic coat upon my inquiry. I will plan to return. You have redeemed yourself in my eyes and I will now recommend to others. I went yesterday for the first and last time. They were quite busy, which I saw as a good thing! I selected the $23 car wash and added the $12 cleaning service. First, the $23 wash was entirely automatic. The $12 service claims to clean windows and mirrors. I was also told I would get a free air freshener. When I got to my car, I was thrilled with how well they vacuumed. It looked great. As I was driving home I realized my rear view mirror still had finger prints that were there before. My windshields were both still streaked. And I did not get my pina colada air freshener. Once I got home, I walked around my car to inspect it. THERE WAS STILL THE SAME SPOT OF BIRD POOP ON THE HOOD OF MY CAR. I went in, dampened a paper towel, and it wiped right off. I can't believe I WASTED nearly $40 for a subpar cleaning. It is a car wash so 1 star. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with my membership here. They had computer issues mid year 2023 which lost memberships on file. At that point I cancelled my membership. It was easy to drop as it the Jax's are out of my way, always busy, multiple auto safety stops mid-wash wild happen because of traffic overflow and mediocre washes. After paying $250.00 for a 10 month pass for the car wash services, the car washing apparatus did severe damage to my brand new vehicle...$700 worth of damage to be exact that I had to pay out of pocket for because the management refused to takresponsibility, (this is only including the parts; both turning blinkers were cracked as well as my door panel detached, that price isn't including the damage to the wrap on the vehicle) this damage was done to a BRAND NEW RANGE ROVER WITH THE DEALER TAGS STILL ON. After bringing the car to the manager, he kept saying the "wrap" was at fault. So, according to him as soon as the car was washed and pulled out onto the road both blinkers miraculously cracked, the panel detached, and the wrap of the car tore off from the top of the roof and side of the car out of the air due to the "wrap?" Ok. Something is seriously WRONG with that machine, I've gone elsewhere twice now since having the damage repaired and nothing has happened since! Stay away! ***I CHOSE TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGES OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE MY DEDUCTIBLE WOULD HAVE BEEN $500, AND MY RATES WOULD HAVE GONE UP. YOUR RESPONSE IS STRAIGHT FABRICATED LIES ABOUT MY INSURANCE CONTACTING YOU AND SAYING THE "WRAP" WAS AT FAULT. I JUST CLOSED THE CASE ON FRIDAY WITH THEM. I have been there in the past with good service and cleaning but this was pre-covid. Since I had previous good experiences, I purchased the monthly subscription. I've been there 3 times over the last couple of months and each time have been more disappointed. Exterior of door was left on last time. I watched the person wiping it down actually skip the whole area on the lower part of the driver's side door. It had very obvious dirty areas. He seemed put out out when I asked him to wipe it down as they have me my keys to leave. Today's cleaning was the worst and I will be canceling my service. The other 2 times I gave them the benefit of the doubt since they were very busy. There was no excuse today. I'll post pictures if I can of the obvious dirty interior today. Not just one area was skipped, the whole interior is dirty. I don't leave reviews often but I am really disappointed. The people checking you in are wonderful but the actual cleaning is seriously lacking. Disappointing since it's a convenient location and they were good on the past read more

So unimpressed. This place has gone completely downhill. They used to do a pretty decent job. First of all my husband will not renew his unlimited membership because they required him to put a sticker on his window which he did not want to do. They gave him no other options. I took my truck in today to get washed which was pretty dirty, I have to admit. I gave the gentleman at the entrance of the drive-through a five dollar tip because I knew my truck was dirty. He proceeded to snatch the five dollars out of my hand and scowled at me and did not even say thank you. I have seen this gentleman at the car wash numerous times and unfortunately I think he is some sort of a manager..Once my car was completed I noticed the dashboard had not even been wiped off and was still dusty, The exterior of my vehicle was less than clean. I mention something to the gentleman as I was getting in my car and he did not offer to fix it or address it. At that point I was so frustrated I just drove off. A great local car wash an IMHO, the best one in the area. They have different specials running all the time including but not limited to monthly memberships at different price points. Self Service vacuum if you prefer to go it alone or full service if you're simply not up to it. It is also nice to be greeted by the very friendly and courteous staff. The only caveat is to make sure you show up early on the weekends as a bottle beck forms even for monthly members. read more

i've been a customer for over six years and today I went there and the lights didn't come on when I went through the wash so I didn't think that the hot wax was working so I said something to the young man about it he said that they can run my truck back through the wash about 10 minutes later guy walked out tells me he's a supervisor shows me a picture on his phone of a light when my truck was going through the wash and said I did get the hot wax. I said where the light was it on he said that doesn't matter real nasty to me told me he could show me on a monitor in his office. Very mediocre service. Their interior just wipes windows and mirrors briefly and vaccums carpets under 30 seconds. The car wash machine itself does not do the job. I was up charged after I said no I did not want to upgrade and the upgraded service did not get the bugs off my car. It's not my first time going to this car wash either. Clear Sunset Car Wash is by far the best full service wash that I've been to in the area. The prices are affordable and they have good deals on monthly packages. The staff is always courteous and helpful, I've never had a bad experience and I go all the time. This place offers so many more services than those drive through without a human encounter places. The waxing, detail services, monthly deals are very competitive. This past weekend, I happened to be driving west bound on St. Rd. 64 (Bradenton) about 1/2 mile west of I-75 when I saw Jax Kar Wash on my right (formerly Clear Sunset Car Wash). With my admitted fetish about a clean vehicle which is exacerbated by my propensity to purchase black cars, I am always keeping one eye on the road, while the other searches for a car wash! Search no more... I pulled in and went WOW! Jax is a hybrid car wash wherein you can get only your exterior washed and vacuum your car at a self-serve station, or you can get the full-service car wash in as many flavors as Baskin Robbins. No matter what you choose, everything is reasonable from a $7.00 exterior only wash where you vacuum and finish drying your vehicle yourself (mostly dried by warm air blower as you exit wash tunnel), to a $23.00 exterior and interior. Like most car washes they also have a variety of packages - Jax Unlimited Club features Good, Better and Best packages that are sold with a pass. They range from $19.99 to $52.99 per month. Each pass has an Exterior only option as well as an Exterior/Interior. The crew pursues their work with enthusiasm; they appear to be a happy crew with quality as their mission and pride in their work. Being a bit of a perfectionist, nothing drives me crazier than to spend $25+ on a car wash only to drive away watching water and soap pour out of the exterior door mirrors and body molding thereby streaking the sides of the car and ruining what you just paid to clean. I can honestly say that does not happen here. Using high pressure compressed air hoses all seams, molding and mirrors have excess moisture blown out by the attendant doing the final hand dry and interior cleaning of your automobile. They even have Quality Control staff at the end that inspects your car before they return your keys. Down the road from me, there is a basketball guru, good guy and always giving philanthropist whom I am sure if he took his car to Jax would leave saying "Awesome Baby"! Went in early on a Saturday morning while visiting the area. The team at Jax made me feel welcome and confident that a good job would be done. They paid great attention to the outside, making sure all of the nastiness was cleaned from the body and wheels. Coming out of the exterior section, there was supposed to be someone guiding those who get the interior service, but nobody was around. I did find where I needed to go, and as I was getting out, got the right direction. The team did a great job vacuuming the interior and cleaning the dash, but, the job on the inside windows left a bit to be desired. Several missed spots, and quite a few streaks on the windshield and rear window. I did mention this to the greeter on my next visit, and even though I wasn't getting interior service, they said they would have the process reviewed. End result, mostly good job, just need to work on their window procedures. read more
