This agent was the sellers agent for a property we purchased and I have never had such a terrible…read morehome buying experience. We were looking for a home in a specific neighborhood and were excited to see this listing that fit our criteria. When we came to see the house we were highly disappointed in the way the home was presented. The front door paint was peeling. The carpet was dirty. The master bedroom toilet looked like a disaster. The backyard palm trees had never been trimmed. For the price point, it was a shame how poorly the house was staged and presented. We decided to proceed because the home was in the location we wanted and the transaction was difficult to say the least. From bait and switch techniques to flat out insulting us, it was one thing after another. He verbally bullied our agent continually. Vendors who came out to give quotes on repairs were told to leave things off their findings on a house that was poorly maintained. The icing on the cake was closing day when we came for the final walk through to a pile of garbage in the entry way as we walked in and the agent scrambling to "clean" at the last minute. Pieces of furniture we agreed to pay cash for were missing. We reluctantly made it to the closing table and he took the keys to finish "cleaning" so we requested he leave the keys in the mailbox so we didn't have to wait any longer for his last ditch effort to "clean" and instead he locked the door and deliberately broke the key off in the lock. And finally, and probably the most offensive was the fact that he bait and switched the contract so that our agent received a fraction of her commission. What a terrible impression and transaction. I have never dealt with such a character while buying or selling a home. The home was staged terribly and his entire business demeanor was less than professional and rude at times I would run away from any listings he has or be prepared for a difficult and haphazard experience.
