I really appreciate this shop! I called because my dad couldn't get the key to turn in the ignition and was calling to see if he does site visits. He doesn't, but advised me to try turning the wheel while turning the key before getting the tow -- and it did, in fact, fix the issue. He only needed to know the make and model of the car. He is a gruff but funny guy, and he knows his stuff more than any other mechanic I have dealt with. It is a small, family business, his son is also a mechanic there and they both have more knowledge on cars than any other auto body shop I have encountered. There are completely kind and honest, smart, and most importantly, know their stuff. Which helped me from making the huge mistake of buying a lemon car. Just had my front bumper replaced after its meeting with a snowbank a few weeks ago. Is only a two-man operation, so can get backed up at times, but they worked with my second-shift schedule to order the parts in advance and set up the repairs on a day when I was off so that I didn't need a rental. Gave me a ride from and to the shop (about 2 miles) which was a nice touch. With the parts pre-ordered and pre-painted, everything was done in one day even though I didn't need the car for 2 1/2. Only drawback is that they have gone to cash-only (not even checks anymore), so make sure you hit the bank beforehand. But very nice folks who clearly seem to care about their customers. Will definitely consider going back for other, non-body-work types of repairs. read more
