Additionally, a lot of boxes were left on their sides instead of top or bottom.. I cannot figure out why, I'm just glad they didn't burst open before I found them and re-stacked them. Because of their inexperience in moving they didn't pack the truck right wasted space and charged me to make a second trip because of their old poor performance. I was quoting a price to move me for $1400 I had Alfred come to my house and look at everything and because of his inexperienced moving he took off and left these 3 guys there and apparently retained my credit card information and added another $1800 to the bill. So much stuff we filled her van too and still left enough stuff we could have filled a 14 ft box truck. It is obvious that Alfred does not know how to appropriately do estimates or it was a bait and switch to get the job. I moved these same items from Daytona Beach to Pensacola then to Mobile in one 26 ft box truck. I have moved over 12 times due to my husband's job. This was poor management and attitudes. I called on Wednesday, and they were able to schedule me for that Friday morning. Whitley in the office was amazing - super friendly and helpful - and communicated with me during the entire process. She even called during the move just to make sure everything was going well. Friday morning, the guys arrived on time, and were extremely quick and thorough. Nothing was prepared for these guys, as this was an unexpected event, but they handled everything with great care and the utmost respect. They had my daughter's belongings loaded, transported, and unloaded in under 2 hours. Everything was done safely and securely. I have waited for a few months to write this review. A regular home-cleaning service (I use them…read more2x a month) needs time to learn my home, my oddities and what is expected. Maids ala Mode are exceptional and just get better with each visit. The billing is all pre-set to a credit card which is very modern and easy. You are sent email reminders (maybe too many) and a copy of the invoice electronically. It is very handy and all of the staff radiate pleasantness and courtesy. My ladies are my "regulars", which is great since I am often home when they are here. They work well together and just bring a lot of positive energy through the door when they arrive. I forgot about the actual work! My standards are pretty high and I live in a large home with all sorts of nooks and crannies. It is always spotless, shining and smells probably a bit like Heaven when they leave. They clean things that frankly I overlook or just disregard, and my bathrooms are almost too clean to use. The kitchen is the same. I cook all of the time and the chances of my sink ever looking that clean on my watch is zero. Part of my household is a very ragged 22 y.o. cat.
