    Cheessteak one bite in

I normally have a whole breakdown of the good, the bad, and the ugly for a location. This one only gets good to great, so I will save the standard process. Stopped into this place for a quick bite with a buddy while traveling. Had no expectations, really. Walled in and got a cross between Five Guys and Johnny Rockets (less the dancing servers). Very diner vibe but with the industrial unfinished ceilings that have taken over this segment. Was greeted fast and decided to sit at the counter. I got the burger and the chili dogs to split. My buddy got the cheesesteak. THE BURGER: It was picture perfect. One of the rare circumstances where it actually looked better than it tasted and it tasted good. The fries are definitely made in-house. The topping fresh, the burger (1/3 lb) was juicy and a proper medium. Did have to ask for mayo. CHILI DOGS: Standard not skyline chili dog. Tasty but very average chili, fresh onion, mustard, good dog inside. Also came with the homemade fries. THE PHILLY: I didn't taste it, but it looked great and was darn near the size of a football in length and about 6 inches side to side. Needless to say, it was massive. My buddy liked it a lot and had to take most of it with him We also got a couple of chocolate shakes to go. Hand spun, made with chocolate ice cream and milk. Standard. They did have a display cooler with desserts, but we were too full to eat anything right then and had to travel, so we did not partake. Total for both of us, 2 sodas in addition to what has been mentioned, was roughly 50 bucks. The service was very unrefined and casual, but that goes with the diner vibe just fine. Will be back to try the meatloaf and fish and chips next time.

Burger Bowl, Jazzy Burger, QuesaBirria Taco w Consomme Rice n Beans OMG those are Marvelous

Wowed Wonderful QuesaBirria Taco's OMG spot on with Consume n Rice w Beans that's it, the really bad . A place with Burger in it's name should be better NOT, terrible frozen patty over cooked burgers. Take a look at the bun double the thickness I've ever had, it hides all the flavor from inside. Was asked how I wanted Burger cook, Medium NOT cooked overdone no juice's flowing and Zero flavor. Shocked $13 for the Burger they added a $1 for Cheese you couldn't taste. So $14 for Burger n Fresh Cut Fries that came out as we were done eating Shameful and Burnt too. So with Tax $15 a total rip off Disgusting. Took 25 minutes to receive our food unacceptable, just shut the place down. Her Burger Bowl same overcooked flavorless burger. We only visited because another great restaurant was merging with this place, advice don't do it. Couldn't get the Michigan Poutine as told I could from a message. Drove 30 miles to try, won't make this mistake again. Stay far away not unless you want Great Birria Tacos . #jazzysteakburger @jazzysteakburger #terribleburger #slowservice #overpricedfood #quesabirria #disappointed #monroemi #downriverfriendseat

give jazzy's a try! i've driven by here many times and never felt the need to stop. in all honesty, i've been intimidated by the outside and failing businesses that were housed here beforehand. one day, i decided to go, and as soon as i walked in, i was impressed! its incredibly bright, open, and so so clean! the menu was a bit shocking to me with a combination of american and mexican options. i ordered a burger, which was yummy, but the onion rings i ordered alongside were some of the best i've had. my only two critiques is the very small serving size of the fried pickles (it's pretty much one pickle sphere cut up into a few chunks) and it was a little on the warm side. besides that, check this place out!

Decided to try this spot even though it only has 1 good great review and it's recent. I got a Jazzy Works Steakburger with everything except mustard. I was pretty impressed with the burger. It was delicious. The meat was not dry at all but quite juicy since it was charbroiled. The fries was definitely great and home cut straight from the potato. My only problem was that they couldn't cook my steakburger medium rare. Great service as well. Not bad for a definite hole in the wall just outside of town in Monroe. Enjoy!

Expensive prices for the limited food choices. Just a regular burger place. Food is not what I was expecting.

Generous portion of gyro. The salad was huge. Feta cheese tasted odd. Very salty and had an old/not fresh taste to it. My friend had the Greek combo plate which had gyro meat, a chicken kebab, grilled pita, and a side. We sat up at the bar and had great service. They had a cocktail menu with their seasonal specials. My friend had the apple crisp made with Crown Apple. At $14 it seemed a little steep. I stuck with Jack Daniels and Diet Coke and at $9 that still seemed a little high and enough not to merit a second drink. The Greek has a lot going for it. It has a good vibe with friendly staff. If they can work on the menu a little more and dial back the salt content on the food this place would be on my list of Greektown choices. I don't know if I will give this place a third try with so many other options all within walking distance.

Server was attentive for most of the meal. I also liked my meal this time. I got the lemon chicken soup and a Greek salad. Very large portions and very good. I went with 4 others who also got a variety of dishes. They all enjoyed as well. Lots of food. They also had some ciders. This time I'd rate the food and service much better. The road is completely torn up in front of the whole street. I guess they are making a giant patio. That will be cool. But now it's probably killing everyone's business now. The sidewalks are still available but it's a skinny walkway. It doesn't appear at the moment that they are close to completing. Maybe this time next year it'll be done.

I'll eat here, but not as often as i would if they polished up their menu/execution. The chicken dishes, all of them, are terrible. They advertise "tender chicken cut into slices," but if you look at any of the pics on here, it's all the same - tiny, little chicken bits, dry and overcooked. The more obscure dishes are the way to go. They fail hard on the basics, but hit home runs on their more unheard of menu items. If you've never heard of something, but it sounds good - that's what you should order here. Chicken lemon rice: 3/10 Not enough chicken, lemon tastes artificial and weird, soup is bland. I've had better CLR at most any coney island. Chicken Gyro: 3/10 Chicken was dry, the orzo was dry and overcooked, tziki sauce was thick and lacked flavor. Plenty of chicken... I would have rather had less chicken, cooked better. I haven't seen their chicken kabob, but it seems like this place uses the thick part of their breast for the kabobs, and uses the scraps bits for all of their other dishes. Grape Leaves: 7/10 Good flavor, good sauce... wish the CLR soup tasted as good as the sauce from the grape leaves. Stifado: 9/10 Excellent dish. Good amount of beef, great flavor, nice stew. This is the dish that I would come back for. Bread basket: Bread: 4/10 - they serve the bread ice cold. Olive oil: 9/10 - excellent flavor, super light, nice lemon zest Service: 8.5/10 - good job. They had one guy for all 8 or so tables, but did he did a good job covering them. The busser/assistant did a good job at keeping our waters and bread full, but he tries to carry too much, and it causes a big distraction (glasses clunking, nearly falling over, re-stacking)... sometimes two trips is better than one... He also says "of course" (pet peeve) when someone says "thank you." Perhaps I'm weird, but I find that terribly dismissive, and off-putting.

Everything we ate from the salad and its dressing to the mussels and the gyro were both fresh and delicious. The mussels didn't seem to be debearded but they were fresh and delicious. The gyro doesn't naturally come with feta but they brought a large side of it! And there was one server and the host who managed to provide quality service even with 6 tables coming in at the same time.

I always appreciate a good fast-casual style restaurant that offers an easy menu with good and healthy options, so I was looking forward to trying out The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in West Bloomfield! Upon first glance, the restaurant looks very chill, well kept up, and has tons of seating options. The staff was also very kind and continually offered to help with anything during our visit. However... I have two main qualms. One is that the price per item adds up very quickly here. You essentially have to factor in that you can probably get 1.5 meals out of a portion, because otherwise, you're paying close to $20 for a single meal of fast-casual food. Keep in mind that most other locations of this caliber in this area would easily have 2 meals worth of food in one entree at a lower price. The food itself was pretty ok - I'd say it met our expectations of what a standard mediterranean restaurant should be. That said... they definitely disappointed us with the wait time. We went in on a slow Sunday afternoon, and though there was only 1 other family in the restaurant, we ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes for our food. Ultimately... I'd probably recommend you try somewhere else -- The Great Greek Mediterranean is definitely casual, but nowhere near fast.
