He makes the process super easy, he is accessible and willing to talk through options so I can structure my stuff to the best possible advantage. I know they also offer payroll services and other stuff too. You should follow them on social media because they do a lot of giveaways for cool things like gaming consoles & TVs. At a loss for how disappointed we are with our service from JB Accounting. When Zach was working with us, things were taken care of and communication was on point (2016-2017). We've been attempting to get a late fee paid since 2018. We have emails stating they'd pay late fees (due to their error) and that Jake was in charge of Zach's previous accounts. We have reached out SO many times (phone and email) and they have yet to resolve this issue. We haven't rushed them... it's been FOUR years. Jake has never once responded to a phone call, email, or messages from the administration printing and passing this information along to him. STEER CLEAR OF JB ACCOUNTING. Not making a payment as promised is as good as stealing money from their clients. $400 may not be much to them, but if they are doing this to more clients than just us- it certainly would add up. read more

Took my money and then ignored and sent me to collections with no warning or explaination for payments I already made. What a scam... I started working with this company because the guy I met with in person seemed very interested and involved in my tax needs. Wrong... As soon as I sent the first payment for them to get started I received minimal comunitcation and could never get them on the phone because they are always too busy doing taxes for other people. They then sent me to collections for the amount I had already paid and never said a word about it and I've only been with them for 3 months. Then when I call to ask what the hell is going on they repeated tell me my tax guy is too busy and you have to email him. What a joke. If youre too busy for me don't take me on as a customer. We were with JB Accounting for 5 years and switched this year. We thought we were in good hands for 5 years but we were very sadly mistaken. Here's what prompted the change: 1. They didn't claim our son on our 2020 taxes (He was born Dec 2019). We missed out on a tax break and 3 stimulus checks for him. We definitely told them we had a son and gave them his social security number for the taxes so I'm not sure how they dropped the ball so badly. We're now working with another accountant to amend this mistake on their end. 2. We gave them our taxes on Feb 15 and after waiting a month they hadn't even started them. We were told 3 times by their secretary that it would take 10-14 business days but a month later we heard NOTHING, despite calling them three times. The secretary emailed us with a schedule of the accountant and said we could book an appointment. It was $50 for 30 minutes and the appointments were 3 weeks out. Keep in mind they already had our taxes for an entire month at this point and now they wanted us to pay $50 to talk to the accountant who has never reached out to us?? 3. Our small business is a partnership. We had to have our taxes done by March 15th or we would be fined a late fee of $400 per partner. We were NOT told this by JB Accounting. We finally filed with a different accountant to avoid having to pay the late fees. We had gotten our taxes to JB Accounting by 2/15 so they had an entire month to do our taxes or AT LEAST inform us this penalty but we hadn't heard from them AT ALL. 4. To reach an accountant you have to talk to an extremely rude secretary, then maybe get an appointment with the accountants assistant. Prior years we would be able to call and receive help immediately. Can't express enough how aggravating this all has been. I'm grateful we found a great new accountant to handles our businesses. Not only would I not recommend them to anyone, I will purposely go out of my way to make sure no one uses them ever again. read more

I recently worked the summer for a company JB Accounting works closely with and was scammed into paying $300+ on the creation of an LLC. One of their consultants spoke to a bunch of our college aged sales representatives about how creating an LLC can result in significantly more tax deductions and that if we were interested to jot down on a piece of paper the name of the LLC we would like created. I wrote down a couple names, not knowing I was getting myself into a binding agreement to create a legitimate LLC for over $350. The consultant never mentioned anything about a binding agreement and scammed me and I'm sure a number of others into that fee. As a 20 year old college student, I'm very disappointed and unhappy this company would commit such sketchy and aggressive tactics to earn business from a bunch of young people merely trying to begin their professional careers just like myself.
