With my son being a freshman and not familiar with the private school life, a lot of things caught us off guard and overwhelmed us but from Mr. Clark (president and CEO) to Ms. Carter (Principal) to the administrative staff to the teachers, everyone has been patient, informative and understanding. My experience has been nothing but top-notch! Best private school in the area! Oh yeah, the football team is the BEST! Everyone here walks with an aire of proudness, of themselves and of their school!My son loves the family feel and the community of this school. My 6 and 5yr old will play here for hours even in the heat because they have so much fun. There are just a few outlining trees for shade so make sure to bring hats, sunblock and water on hot days. It's a wood chip ground covering (no dirt or sand), very well spread out, monkey bars for older kids and even a mini monkey bar for the little ones, a basketball court right next to the park and lots of green grassy area beyond the basket court. If your kids like to climb and explore, this is a perfect place for them! I highly recommend it! The only reason for not giving this park five stars is because there is no bathroom or water fountain near by and unless you park around the block in the surrounding neighborhood, There is only pay parking which is max of four hours @ $1.75 per hr.

Eastern High School is a beautiful building on Capitol Hill East just a few blocks from the Stadium-Armory Metro Station. Behind its historic building is a football field that is open to the public to work out in when school is not in session. During the summer, I wake up at 6AM and watch the sun rise over the football field as I do my work out on the perfectly even grass and run a few laps around the track. I've seen others walk the bleachers for a good exercise.

I stopped somewhere and asked someone if they knew where a good track was to run and they pointed me to Ballou. The track here is GREAT! Given the neighborhood, I wasn't too sure if I'd find a decent track, but Ballou's got it! The turf was nice & new, the lanes were freshly painted, the bleachers were clean, etc. There were students & coaches on the football field, as well as a few people walking/running the track gettin their workout in. Everyone there was friendly. It really made for a great work out. We did our sprints, ran a few sets of bleachers & felt great! I would most DEFINITELY recommend Ballou's track if you are in the neighborhood & want to get a track work out in! (Also - The School kinda sits up on a slight hill, so if you want to get a little hill work out in, you can do that there as well!)

She went day one and was a little reluctant to leave me husband and I, but by the end of the day when it was time to go home she refused to leave and have been wanting to stay daily after school. The summer camp is very proficient and well planned out. The have been going on a lot of trips that are included in tuition. The trips are not limited to just having fun but also things like museum's for history knowledge to our young people. I tilt my hat off to all the staff at Clinton Christian School to accepting my daughter to the family and making her feel at home away from home. I am excited and looking forward to great successful upcoming school year.

I never felt like it was a daycare. She was always learning something new each day! I enrolled her in summer camp, which she really enjoyed, especially since she is an only child. My daughter took music lessons for the violin. I was amazed at her teacher's instructions and guidance. She not only taught my daughter how to play the violin, but to also read and write music; very impressive! We had bus service for morning pickup. Always on time, friendly driver who always provided a warm greeting. We had aftercare, so I picked her up. Unfortunately, during pickup my daughter would almost be in tears. I generally had to wait until the last kid left before she would want to go home. I didn't want to force her to leave her friends and go home to no child to play with. I always received assurance from the teachers that everything would be fine. They were. This is a top-notched school who cares about their students and their learning process. Although my daughter is much older, I had to circle back and give this review. Every dime I spent on my daughter's education, care and spiritual guidance given at Clinton Christian was well worth it. Anytime your child clings to her teacher at the end of the school year because she's going to miss her says a lot.
