We are SO HAPPY we used JC Toland Painting to bring our house back to life. We have cedar shake siding that hadn't been kept up or stained in many years. Jeremy and his expert team - Jonny, Brad, and Scotty - brought it back to life by carefully washing, brightening, and re-staining our 1905 gem. From the start, we received a fully detailed estimate of exactly what work would be performed. From there, Jeremy (owner) and our project lead Jonny came over to walk through the process with us. Then the magic started! Powerwashing and brightening restored the wood on our house and brought it back to life. From there, the team prepped in multiple ways (scraping, caulking/sealing, priming as needed, etc) before getting started.Then they started adding color - priming and painting our trim and applying 2-3 coats of stain with the additional labor of backbrushing it into the wood to ensure full coverage that will last. We worked with JC Toland for drywall and painting. We had a bathroom shower surround and tub replaced. This required drywall repair around the new surround and paint. JC Toland completed all of the drywall repair, texture repair on the wall and ceilings, as well as painting the entire bathroom. Painting involved a protective base coat as well as multiple coats of the final paint on walls, ceiling, and skylight. Working with the Project Manager, Zach, went very smoothly. There were a few back and forths where Zach provided excellent suggestions to help us come up with the plan of action. Zach acted very professionally, direct, and down to earth. We were provided an estimate that very closely matched the final invoice. Both of the workers we had were professional and respectful. They arrived on time each day as scheduled, kept the mess to the work area, removed shoes when the weather was messy, were very friendly, and easy to speak with about what needed to be completed. Zach and Max were so easy to work with and did a great job on our kitchen cabinets! Communication was very fast and clear with Zach, and Max was very thorough with his work. They made sure we felt comfortable with everything and were on the same page every step of the way, and we really appreciated their kindness and thoughtfulness.
