Not happy with quality. Lack of professionalism and empathy. A waste of money. Never again. Not recommended.

If I could leave a zero I would. The young lady that was there was horrible. I don't know if she was going thru something but her attitude stunk the whole time of the session. The fan didn't work, and it was HOT in that studio with all the lights. The music was so bad. She didn't help with poses. She didn't know how to guild my family during our photo session. Rushed, alot of my pictures were me fixing my hair, my bra strap showing, part of the picture cut off, fixing baby's pants so diaper isn't showing some pictures still had it showing, photographer wasn't positioning us so we were slouching. I just had to write a review for this place. My family live all over the country, but we tend to meet in Florida every once in a while to all be together at once and since my sister is the one with the four children, we end up going to her. It doesn't happen often, so when it does, we want to capture the moment. The last time my family visited a studio for photos, it was 10 years ago, three of my four nephews/nieces hadn't been born yet, and it was a last minute decision at a Walmart photo studio where they could barely squeeze the five of us + baby in the photo. Jump to this most recent trip...I wanted to to get something a little more professionally done. Being that I live in LA, I didn't have the time or effort to put into looking up local photographers, so I took a chance with JCPenny, and boy I'm glad I did! I made an appointment online (how convenient), and was even called with a reminder. The day of our appointment we were running late (five adults and four kids - bound to happen), so I called and asked if we could push the appointment which they did for us without a problem. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a Mona and Stacy who, in all honesty, were absolutely wonderful. I was walking into this place kind of blind, not really knowing how their packages worked, what kind of backgrounds would be best, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were content and satisfied. Making absolutely wonderful suggestions, if you're unsure of what you want, they will guide you in the right direction and you can trust them. Their level of professionalism shocked me for a JCPenny and their absolute warmth and friendliness was a huge bonus with the kids. It's not easy working with three super hyper boys and one newborn, but they handled it like pros. Our shots came out AMAZING! I was so content with everything. They took PLENTY of shots and are up for taking shots that you request. Even with a large group of people waiting to be photographed after us, I never felt rushed. They took their time with us in making sure we got exactly what we wanted and I appreciated that immensely. From start to finish, I was incredibly pleased. Not one negative thing to say. The best experience ! The photographer and her helper were amazing ! The helper (sorry i forgot your name ) was very efficient,happy and straight to the point. I was there for. 5 pm appointment with my two children and husband . They knew exactly how to get my children to smile and pose. I usually have headaches after the visit but this appointment was a great experience. This will be my go to portrait studio. And the photos surpassed my expectation. read more

I received a gift session from a friend. JCP portrait staff was not only professional and amazing from start, but the photos were simply adorable. My intention was to only buy within my gift package but Johana, the girl that helped us out, did such a great job we had to take them all. I expected this to be a great experience, being that this was jcpenny, but it was so much more. Johana made process so simple. It was for my daughter's graduation and she managed to capture the experience in a very delightful and blissful way. My daughter loved the experience and we are definitely gonna return! Horrible service. I went with my family and the girl taking the pictures was a rookie she was jumping to try and take pictures since she was so short. I had a baby along and they had no patience with her, so at the end we had to do the photoshoot without the baby, main reason why we went there. THE STUDIO HAD NO AC , NO AC people! we were all dressed and sweating our behinds! We were told to calm the baby or to go after another group of people. AGAIN no patience what so ever, customer service did not find a solution either. SO we got out crappy photos, got charged a whole lot of money, wasted money btw and the baby was not in ONE single picture which they took. Do not recommend this place if you cant tolerate the heat and if you have an infant. ALSO, the studio is really small and they had no cute backgrouds. read more
