A truly honest mechanic. I used to work down the street until Stater Bros. decided to evict all the industiral business at San Bernardino Airport, They did and most all the business closed or moved out of state, I got laid off....Thanks Jack. To make a long story short my F-150 engine was missing at freeway speeds. I took it to a mechanic where I had been going for years, and he said I needed a new engine? A 4500.00 engine. I remembered taking our company trucks to JC's in Highland, and I used to think what a dive it was. But we never had crazy bills, or any problems with 15 service trucks. Called JC's got someone who said bring it it so we can take a look. Brought it in and an old man took my keys. Said they would give me a call back later. Juan calls me back and said the MAS sensor was dirty and needed to be cleaned? Ok the other mechanic said it needed an engine. Also Juan asked if I had a tune up done recently? Nope I looked thru my old receipts the truck had 150000 miles never changed the spark plugs and I needed a smog check which I told him I saw the sign. Wasn't going to smog it if it needed a new engine. Anyways Juan said it would cost 180.00 dollars out the door for cleaning the MAS sensor, changing the plugs and smog checking it. So I Picked up my truck Friday night drove it to Rancho Cucamonga, to Home Depot runs almost like new. CD players still broke. So one big THANKS to the guys at JC's auto repair for being honest. I recently took my Mercedes to get Smogged at this Place I was directed to the front office . I signed the Papers for a Smogg everything Passed except the mileage report internal Data I was told drive it and bring it Back.in one Hour I did so and it still couldn't Complete my test . I then Drove it Home put more miles On the vehicle and Engine light has Came on ? MyMechanic asked what did they Do ? I said I couldn't. See Them they had My Vehicle in the back for a long time ? After Further Review my Mechanic found a Hose to the Smog pump Disconnected How do I know Because he had Just inspected the Hoses attached to the Smog pump all was properly Connected as it Should be ! Why did they leave my Hose Disconnected? To Surely Fail I believe and Return for Repair ? Thief's praying on Customers Kindness for sure ! Code P 2004 was Now the Engine light Code Given Diagnoses which requires you to Remove the intake manifold to make repairs on My 2007 Slk 280 Mercedes Don't Trust these guys Crooks Thief's Swindlers Too the Max's .I will also foward my Findings and Review to the Better Bussiness Bureau of Auto Motive Repairs , City of Highland San Bernadino I can't Believe they would Put Theyer Name on a Place that's Swindles theyer Customers . I'm giving this rating based upon recent shops I've been to and dealerships. Just want to start by saying I hate dealing with dealerships.especially when they aren't out to help the customer and just trying to make a quick buck. Also dealerships are WAY over priced and they want to take all your hard earned money. lol. I called JC's Auto Repair in Highland Ca about a week prior to tell them what the issue was with my vehicle. I spoke with Johnny over the phone. He was awesome and told me to bring my car down whenever I could. We decided that a Saturday worked the best. I took the car down Saturday morning. Even though the car was there from open to close I felt like they really did their absolute best in resolving the issues. They were very thorough. All the issues were fixed when I picked up my vehicle. They even found the time to find other minor issues and took care of it for me. They are the Greatest people and will work with you by all means. Genuinely honest and strait forward. I'm definitely going back and referring all my friends and family. This place is the only place I take our vehicles. If I could, I would give 20 stars. This is a one of a kind tech. I needed to have our Chrysler Pacifica redone. It was the head on the engine that needed to be fixed. (that was very scary, but he is a man of his word) When he fixed my car. there was an issue with my car's insurance and he told me "Don't worry, I will take care of it" -and he did- . They were going to deny me of our insurance and so they told us "You were abusing your car" but he is a man of his word and he told them the real truth and how it wasn't neglect, and we were approved for the claim. Our car is like brand new. He has a family orientated shop and he gives amazing prices, and a amazing work , when we needed a tech for our car for the first time on our expedition (which was on memorial day 2 years ago) I called a lot of places late on a Saturday searching for someone who will be open on that coming Monday which was memorial day and all of them said that they wouldn't be open. It was a lot of places around 9 shops. So I prayed a quick prayer and I found J C (I said this is the one and I knew god sent him to us) God bless J C and his family. read more

J.C. Rueda is the best mechanic I have found in many years. We have been going to JC's Auto Repair since 2009 and he has always fount and expertly fixed all our problems correctly, quickly and a a reasonable price. He is very honest and has never told us we needed something fixed that really didn't need fixing. We have had trouble finding an honest mechanic that can work on Jeeps, Fords, RV's and Toyota's since our family has many different types of cars. He is equally good at all of them. We have recommended him to many of our friends and they always call us to tell us how happy they were and they still go to him today. He is also a Gold Star Smog Station as well. Nearly 10 years ago my mom got the run around by a smog place in Riverside. She kept seeing JC's Auto Repair on her drive home and asked me to go with her so I could make sure they wouldn't give her the run around. I have NEVER in my life met a mechanic that was so honest and straight forward. Our entire family has been going to him ever since. A multitude of family friends also go to him now. One friend that lives in Long Beach now will drive all the way back out to Highland to have JC do the work on his car. The price is always more than worth it. J.C's Auto Repair is top of the line. I have taken several cars there for repair and they always do a stellar job. I bought a used, 2001, Isuzu Rodeo that needed a fuel tank replacement and timing belt replaced. I thought that was all that was needed but because they do such a thorough evaluation and diagnostic testing, when a car first arrives, they found electrical issues as well. After they found all of the issues with the car, they had it up and running in no time and it has been driving great for the past 2 years. I almost forgot to mention the used car that I bought had been sitting for over 5yrs and they were able to get it to pass smog testing too. Additionally, all of the fluids were in bad shape including the fuel and fuel pump which was the cause for the fuel tank and pump replacement. All done with great pricing and expertise. read more

Holy Crap! Its 2:54pm on a thurs.went to this dump for a smog check.This jerk with an awful aggressive attitude(JC) and Ricki Ricardo Pompodore hairdo standing about 4 feet 10, starts sayin hes gonna fail me for a hose with a loose hose clamp.he actually was very argumentative and condescending.He than orders me away and leaves me waiting for over an HOUR.All while my truck was done and parked out in the lot where I had pulled in.He must ve thought it was funny.No other customers there,by the way.Than he finally comes around and said he was looking for me.WHAT? Anyway,he of course failed my truck and charged me $37 for the experience. Avoid this dickhead and his filthy shop at all costs.One thing,the office lady doing the paperwork was very nice and a pleasure to deal with.JC ??? I came to JC's for a pre-purchase inspection on a Saturday. I don't know how long he spent inspecting the vehicle but he took quite a bit of time to go over it with me; showing me all the areas of concern. The writeup was detailed and itemized, I couldn't have asked for a better pre-purchase inspection. I bought the vehicle and took it to my usual mechanic for a double-blind inspection (I'm from way out of town and the vehicle was in Yucaipa) and his findings were very similar to JC's. I've been with my mechanic for years and trust him, so this was just confirmation in my mind that JC did a very good job. I difffently would recommend going to jc auto shop he knows what he is doing. There was a whole lot of repairs i needed done and jc fixed my entire engine practically now my car is running like brand new again. I didnt have all the money to pay him, but he still let me take my car home as soon as the repairs were finished. He help me out so much I paid him the rest of the money after but I tell u no other mechanic would of done that. I was in a very tough spot. I accidentally drained my transmission fluid while attempting to drain the oil. I had to have my truck towed to the shop where Rohlman took care of my transmission and even changed my oil. He was extremely nice and very fair. read more
