Very disappointed with customer service. The owner is very rude and they had a very limited amount of dresses for full size figures (L-XL). Discouraging and with a very disrespectful attitude, the owner suggested me to up my budget so I could get a nicer dress. I tried two dresses and they didn't fit me. Won't revisit in the future. Side note: In response to the comment left on my Google review from the store: Im not a liar. I did visit the store and the service provided was horrible. it's not okay to tell customers to increase their budget and it's not okay to shame anyone for her size figure. You are reflecting on others your horrible personality. I wasn't been disrespectful to your or your staff members. I will take my business to someone who treats me with respect and dignity. If I could give them 0 stars I would! This world needs kindness and these people were extremely disrespectful and made me feel terrible. Please read my experience and you will understand. I came in and found the rack with the nice expensive dresses and wanted to try one on, one of the ladies asked me how much I had to spend... obviously I'm not gonna tell her that my budget is high because she will then show me the most expensive ones and not give me any kind of discount or a good deal. So I said that I wanted to spend $100 or so BUT if I fall in love with something I will spend more. The truth is my budget was way higher but I didn't want to say that so she would only show me the expensive ones. She asked another worker in Spanish if I could try it on as she didn't know I speak Spanish... and they both looked at me and agreed I couldn't because I wasn't gonna pay for it and took the dress away from my hands. It was rude but I let it go and went to see other dresses in another rack, I found another one that I liked and wanted to try on but the lady told me that my hips were too wide that it wouldn't fit, I know my body and I know what fits or not... btw I am a size 4 and this dress was a size 8 so I insisted and she reluctantly agreed. When I went to the fitting room, the dress that I wanted to try was Not there, only the one she picked. Once more I asked her to let me try it. Finally in an angry manner she said that I couldn't try it because these were expensive dresses and that I couldn't just try it for fun! Why would I try something for fun???? I'm a grown woman wanting to buy a dress. I told her I was leaving and she said "ok great" Like if I wasn't worthy of trying it on, as if I was gonna break it or dirty it for trying it on. These people were so disrespectful I do not recommend you go here unless you want to be mistreated and judged. And if you are the owner and are reading this, I recommend you treat your clients with love and respect, I guarantee you will make a lot more sales and a lot more money. read more

Worst experience I have ever had. The owner was so rude. I came in there with my 5 year old daughter and she was so excited to look at the dresses, the owner had a young employee follow us around and every time my daughter got even close to an item of clothing they would tell us not to touch anything. This continued until I told them how can I buy anything if I can look or touch anything to see if I like it. My daughter and I felt like very so uncomfortable and disrespected. The way they treated us was disgusting. On top of that the store is a mess, everything is cramp hence why you need to touch to see what's in the racks. NEVER AGAIN!! Don't do it! Don't bother. This so called dress shop is no at all worth making the trip to... it really makes me think now how the heck are they even in business or why? Maybe authorities should look into what else goes on in there... here's a bit of what happened today... I walked in there with my sister to look at their dresses (I need multiple dresses for my sisters and bridesmaids) and was scolded at as I was putting my mask on by some woman who thinks she's my mother apparently, to put my mask on... um okay.....? As I looked through dresses with my sister the woman abruptly yelled at me to watch my keys so that they don't ruin her dresses. I proceeded and said okay sure. Then she went ahead and again went off on me and said get your keys off my gowns so you do not ruin them. I turned to her and showed her my hands and said what keys exactly are you referring to? I had a fob for my car with no keys attached that would never be able to damage a dress, nonetheless dresses that are in plastic wraps.. I was so confused. I proceeded to tell the woman that since I had walked in she was extremely rude and is making me feel uncomfortable and thinking to leave she said with the nastiest face and look "then maybe you should leave" so I told her "but tell me where are the keys you speak of in my hand exactly? I have a 5 carat ring is that what's bothering you?". I turned to my sister wondering if I am nuts and noticed she was in complete shock and had asked me to just ignore her nasty behavior. I decided for my sisters sake of attempting to find a dress in Aventura. I'll take the abuse. The woman continues and says loudly and nastily "Just LEAVE then". So my sister asks her if she is the owner, she says no of course and runs away. She speaks to an older woman in the back in Spanish about us thinking that we do not understand her of course then goes to the back to hide. The older woman comes in between my sister and I and shoves back dresses in that were somewhat sticking out. My sister asks this woman for her name... she shrugs her shoulder as if she is a child and continues to ignore, my sister asks her again "Ma'am are you the owner? If yes, you should be aware that woman does not know how to treat customers. What is your name?" She says Lisa and then runs away to the back. I am taking the time to write this review because by the grace of god, in the middle of all of this I received a phone call which caused me to get distracted from how angry I was by this extremely rude and obnoxious behavior. I am from NY and we do not treat customers this way. I love FL and I know this is not the way Floridians treat their customers but in this so called "dress store" they are just a disgrace. They should be shut down immediately for discrimination and disrespect. Read the majority of the reviews here and you will see for yourself.. This is not something I would waste my time doing ever in my life but I feel so strongly! This world needs better and nicer people and these people should not have a store. I wanted to wait until after the wedding I bought my dress for. But now that's it's over --- I cannot recommend JDO Couture enough !!! It began with walking into a small shop in the same shopping plaza as a Chuckie Cheese's. But don't let that put you off. You will be walking into a shop full of some of the most beautiful gowns for every occasion. Not only did I purchase the dress, they recommended a belt, clutch and shoes. Everything looked great together and I was the 'belle of the ball' - except for the bride, of course. I would highly recommend everyone going to JDO Couture for those special dresses for those special occasions. You will not go wrong. read more

I wrote a review years ago when I came in and was treated poorly.. I decided years later to come in and give them another chance. I walked in with my daughter and told her that I was looking for a bat mitzvah dress for her and for myself.. as soon as I said the word bat mitzvah, her whole demeanor changed. She then told me that I needed an appointment and that she couldn't help me.. (wow ok don't take my money) meanwhile there was not one person in the store it was completely empty. On vacation from NYC and walked into the store in the afternoon after going to the beach looking to purchase two dresses for July weddings in NYC. budget was $4k and apparently we were not allowed to look at the dresses or even pick them up. We walked in the woman asked if we needed help I said just looking she proceeded to ask I said an evening gown. They didn't suggest anything. They would just take the dresses out of our hands. When my mother and I showed each other. They would not let us touch anything. Don't bother purchasing dresses here they are very cheap and wholesale costs 50-100$ and they are selling for $500 and above. We went here to find something different other than Bergdorf or saks but never again will we walk in or recommend to anyone! After running around from mall to mall with my daughter looking for her graduation dress we decided to give the boutique-styled stores a try. This store has a huugee variety of dresses to choose from and in a large array of sizes and prices. Knowing how difficult it is to please a teenager who is stressing about an important dress I was so pleased with the great service and how patient they were! They made my daughter feel a little more at ease by giving her the countless change in sizes and different options to choose from. They constantly asked us if we needed any help and if we were happy with our choices. After being there for about two hours we finally found a dress she was incredibly happy with. So a win-win for her and me! Would definitely recommend this store to anyone in look for a dress or even blouses, jumpsuits, anything! read more

this place deserves way more than three stars. im a teenage girl who lives with a single father, and for the first time in my life, i had to find a floor length dress for prom. both of us were clueless, and i couldn't find anything in the big department stores. finally, after extensive research, my dad found this place online and we made an appointment that same day. the second i walked in the shop, the ladies immediately asked me what type of dress i was looking for, my price range, and if i had any pictures. i showed them what i wanted and the colors i preferred, and they immediately began pulling out dresses for me to try on. i was helped for zipping up and given advice on how to wear each dress. after trying another dress (which were all beautiful), i would explain what i liked about it and they would come back with one closer to what i was looking for. finally one lady pulled out a sleek black dress for me to try on. it fit perfectly and she even helped me style it with a necklace. some of these reviews call the women working in the store "bossy" or "rude", but they weren't at all. they got the job done and i ended up leaving the store extremely happy to have finally found something, and for a good price too:) read more
