Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience at JDs and we were so excited to go! We loved that they said seed oil free so we're excited to try their food! Our service was not great. It took a long time for our waitress to get our drinks and our order. When they brought our food, two out of the three dishes were wrong and missing ingredients. I got the burger which was the only dish made correctly and it was tasty! They offered us a free dessert to make up for the mistakes but in my mind it just didn't cover it. The food was tasty that I had but my friends weren't super impressed with theirs.

My husband just picked up a to go order for me--the Dan Dan noodles and it's inedible. The entire thing tastes like a whole salt shaker was dumped on it. And that's after he had to go to counter 30 mins later and ask if it was ready after being told they would bring it out to him when it was. Service and food both are terrible. This is the second time we've been and it just keep getting worse and worse. Would rather not risk wasting another $15-17 on a meal to give it a third try. So no seed oils but they'll kill ya with the sodium content. Super disappointed. First time we went was breakfast last Saturday and the guy working counter didn't even greet us and wouldn't have said a word to us otherwise. No thanks.

Staff was very nice and provided great service. The fried pickles were out of this world. I really liked them. The Dan Dan noodles were very good. Very spicy. Seving sizes were huge. There were more than enough left overs for lunch tomorrow!

Enthusiastic thumbs up. Coffee Spot meets girlie lunch meets grab and go. Nutritious, eye-grabbing, soul satisfying fare. A new go-to for a girlfriend lunch, coffee, dessert. Also a spot that I can and will use to grab dinner to go for my honey and me. Cooked fresh daily. All served with a smile. Professional and friendly. Spotless. Lovely decor with loads of inviting natural lighting with a variety of seating. Strawberry cake frosting a bit on the sweet powdered sugar end for us but great crumb.

Breakfast Bowl with egg and cheese served over grits. Don't mind the pepper. I forgot to take the picture before adding!

Breakfast at JDs was delicious! After having a hard time deciding which breakfast & brunch item to choose, I settled on the Original Breakfast Bowl with an over medium egg and Colby jack cheese served over the most delicious Texas grown grits. It was a perfect choice!

This is my favorite dinner burger in Waco - the bacon is perfect and crisp. The staff is always so kind and welcoming too.

We got seated right away around 1:30 pm on a Friday. There appeared to be only two servers covering the entire room but they did a pretty good job of it. Our waiter, a young man was quite pleasant and knowledgeable. He used an electronic order taking device and was able to customize anything we asked for, right in the device. Three of us ordered shakes. My friend loves Coconut Cream Pie, which they have and she was considering a shake. I suggested she ask our server if he could make her a Coconut Cream Pie shake with vanilla ice cream. Sure enough, he did it and it was quite tasty. For lunch, we ordered as follows: - Patty Melt with Tots (shared by my wife and I) - Kids Finger Basket with 1 Chicken and 1 Steak finger and tots - Steak Finger Basket with Tots The food was very diner diner-like (fried or flat top grilled) and it was tasty. This was a decent and fun lunch and we'd stop here again.

For dessert, Apple pie with ice cream -- good and reliable. Lemon meringue pie -- disappointing despite a well-executed meringue; crust crumbly; texture and taste didn't quite align, with a subtle metallic lemon note. After two bites, not appealing enough to finish. If you're after traditional diner food, Kim's delivers on core items. Dessert may be hit-or-miss.

Magnolia Press is their house coffee shop serving up all the coffee house classic beverages and snacks. Beverages were all the basics with a few specialty drinks, both hot and cold. The food was standard breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Prices for everything were moderate, but expected. I went with an iced mocha and chocolate croissant, while my partner went with a breakfast croissant. The food came out a few minutes before the drink, so we munched on the goods while we waited for the coffee. The food was good and the drink was tasty. It hit the spot for sure! The flow can get a bit backed up depending on how busy the baristas are...and they were busy! We waited a longer time after ordering than we did in line to order, but neither wait was egregiously long. Once we got the coffee, we made our way outside to the courtyard. We passed the small, but cute dining room. The space is gorgeous, perfect coffee house and Magnolia vibes. Overall, great entry point to the market. Lovely vibes and decent coffee!

We were satisfied and happy with the service as well. We will return.
