Armando was unprofessional. He installed for me a garage door and an opener. He left without waiting for me to install the app on my phone and disregarded my concerns about that the door is not sensitive enough to obstacles and claimed that's how it is. He seemed in a lot of hurry to leave. I later realized that a neighbor came and wanted Armando to check his garage door for replacement ! That's unprofessional to leave without having all concerns of your client who paid you a lot of money addressed. This will be my 4th review EVER. Initially, Armando was great: communicative, prompt, professional. He sent me a quote to replace an entire door. We went back and forth a bit about the price as he came in 35% higher than my lowest bid. I wanted to use him, even if he was still the most expensive as I felt the best about him. We agreed on a price. I asked how he wanted a deposit, credit card or cash, and then I never heard from him again. I've emailed. I've texted. I've called. I've called from different phones. I've called from blocked numbers. Nothing. Even if I said something to upset him, there's no reason to not come get this $2500. He doesn't have to see me after replacing the door. Honest, knowledgeable, quick to response to calls, inexpensive, this guy is a godsend. We have now used this garade door repairman two times, and both times, he has not failed to amaze me. Granted, my husband and I know nothing about garage doors, so he could say anything, and we'd believe it, but we turned him onto a bunch of our neighbors, who all seem to love him, as well. He knows his product, figures out what is wrong even if the door is not malfunctioning by the time he arrives, and he then executes the solution in a very timely and inexpensive manner. Our townhome complex went through a series of garage door mishaps, most likely due to the cheap nature of the existing garage doors that were installed. What started with our garage door first was a severe buckling that, if left unattended, the entire door would have come crashing down (most likely on somebody standing under it). Somehow, we found this man whose business is run out of the San Fernando Valley, but I'm sure he'd drive just about anywhere. He looked at the problem, and that one was incredibly obvious, and while he said he "could" sell us a new door (it was looking pretty bad), he also said he would prefer to try to salvage it and, instead, bolt into place these steel bars running across each panel. Not only did it work, but it's still very much intact over a year later. He saved our buckling garage door, and he ended up doing a handful of other neighbors' garage doors for the same reason. We are all grateful for it. Today, he came out because I couldn't get our garage door to close at all. This happened last week, as well, yet we had a few days where it was working. While my husband met him for the call, the repair man wanted to talk to me to learn more about what I had experienced because it was, of course, not "performing" inappropriately for him. Based upon my explanation of what I experienced, he was able to determine that the issue was in the sensors. He could have told us the motor burned out, we need a new garage door, anything, but instead, he told us it was the sensors. The motor was just fine. He replaced and rewired the sensors, and for the $65 service call minimum, he only tacked on another $30 for the actual repair. I just don't think it's that expensive, given how bad it "could" be. Anyway, if you're ever in need of a garage door repair company, THIS is the place to call. You won't be sorry. This is one business owner you can trust ! read more

My opener gear shaft disintegrated and I made a claim via homeowners warranty. I made a claim and in under 24 hours from JE's call, my door was fixed. I really thought it was bad enough to change out the entire motor unit but they fixed the motor, adjusted the chain, oiled the rails, and gave it an overall tune up. Now it works like it was new. I'm glad they were able to fix it because being near the holidays, I didn't want a big production in the garage. I highly recommend JE if you need any door or motor work done. read more

I called him up on a Tuesday, he showed up the next day and offered me a quote. I accepted, and he showed up that Saturday, promptly, and finished up in a matter of a few hours. He even added some molding around the garage for added protection. He was clean, efficient, super friendly, and was patient with me he set up the blue tooth app. and showed me the entire process. Armando has worked for me twice now, and he has done a great job each time. He is very professional, polite, on-time and knows what he is doing. He serviced the motor, adjusted the spring, cut the bottom of my existing wood door to fit a raised section of the floor, custom fit a steel plate and installed a better weatherstripping to keep rats out of my garage. His prices for the work he performs seem more than fair and he actually cleans up when he is done! I was also having a problem with syncing my new car's auto garage door feature as he was leaving. So I called them and within 10 minutes they were at my house. It took them only 20 minutes to fix the door and charged me a very reasonable fee. David installed a middle spring on the garage door but I need to haggle with him. He rude, exploits customer and changes quotes made by JE Garage. I suspect the company subcontract the job and this guy took it on a Sunday. He came 3 hours late misinterpreted name of our city and was in Rolling Hills according to him or another BS. Later, he wants to charge us more than the agreed price. There is a 5 year warranty for the spring but I really doubt whether we could locate this David again. read more

This is the best contractor sent by First American Home Protection Plan thru 18 years. None others are even close. The owner Anmondo is an honest and pleasant gentleman. He always responds quickly and fixes problem right away unless he needs to special order the parts. I didn't renew my homeowner policy with First America anymore due to their increasing fee and some bad constructors they hired. However, anytime my garage door doesn't function right, I call JE Door. Fantastic service and knowledgeable technician, Noel. The garage door main spring exploded last night after my wife came home. Busted my azz to get the door open and tied in the open position, minus one now destroyed white dress shirt. Contacted First American Home Buyers Protection on line late last night. He was and diagnosed it and sent his 2 workers an hour later to fully install a new motor which it needed quickly, smoothly with all that goes with it for a reasonable price.
