Their sandwiches are HUGE and are served on traditional Jewish brioche-like buns with poppy seeds and sautéed onions. Delish! This is a really a meat lovers spot, their pastrami and other sliced meats are the star of the show as well as their giant burgers. They have a very bustling restaurant that gets packed at lunch time but you can also order to go. On a recent visit to the hood, I ordered one 11€50 pastrami sandwich+soft+dessert combo and also picked up some of their fabulous roasted turkey and some homemade Shabbat meat patties for dinner that night. If you find yourself in this part of town definitely head to Chez Victor for a true taste of Jewish deliciousness!

No bread no sauce no mushrooms etc. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they said it's kosher style? You can't put sauce on a steak or piece of bread under it or mushrooms etc but you can put ketchup on the kids burger and load fries on the same plate. Even if it is Kosher and you can't cook it the proper way don't put it on the menu. We were also served raw chicken when we received it we sent it back and it looked like it was microwaved w the fries on the plate. Again the can wrap ham and cheese with chicken and fry it but no sauce or bread with my steak Do not go here to it . Unless you like bull...

We tried the jambon sandwich and chicken baguette, paired with a golden ale beer and coffee. Both sandwiches were outstanding--freshly made with incredible bread, generous fillings, and a perfect balance of textures. The strong cheese they offer on the side is a must; it pairs beautifully with the sandwiches, and the staff even lets you try it before deciding, which is a great touch. We did go around 2pm and unfortunately the pastrami was already sold out, which speaks to how popular it is. We also waited about 30-40 minutes in line, but it moved steadily and didn't feel too painful. We were lucky to find a spot to dine in, though most people grab their food to go. Service was friendly and quick despite the constant rush. The atmosphere is more grab-and-go than sit-down, with very limited indoor seating. Most people take their sandwiches to enjoy at a nearby park, which actually adds to the experience. Be prepared for a queue, but it moves faster than expected--and the payoff is absolutely worth it for what might be the best sandwich in the city.

These sandwiches are curated, edible pieces of art made with love by the one and only Alain. It's easy to see why they're so popular. People love the sandwiches so much that his stall inside Marche' Des Efants Rouges can see lines lasting upwards of an hour or more. And people stay in the line. We lucked out and only had to wait about twenty minutes. I tell you, I'd wait all day if need be. I often dream of the sandwiches we had and can't wait to have them again. A picture is worth a thousand words and therefore, my photos can tell you everything you need to know about how good the sandwiches were. It makes me smile when I look at the pic of us with Alain. What a wonderful human being producing wonderful food for the people.
