Omg amazing!!!!! Had an old dishwasher that stopped working and needed it replaced. Bought a new dishwasher from sears outlet and was going to have sears install it but my appointment with them was "lost." Kyle with Jeb's appliance was able to help me with a next day appointment. Kyle went above and beyond expectation for a normal install. The wood was uneven where the old dishwasher was housed and Kyle cut wood in order to level the new dishwasher. Kyle is a GEM! This is how service should be!! My dryer wasn't drying so I called Jeb's Appliance. First Kyle gave me tips on things I could do to troubleshoot. Since my dryer needed more professional help than what I could do, I asked Kyle to come and fix the problem. Before coming he gave me quotes on the possible parts cost plus his labor. All costs were completely transparent (amazing!). He let me know when he could come and was punctual and let me know as he was getting close. Once he arrived, he fixed the fuse and didn't create 'extra' costs. Instead, he gave me tips for better care of my washer and dryer. Cleaned the back of my refrigerator too! He is like a trusted brother that you can call for help! Great human being, excellent work, very professional! Kyle and Robin are amazing! I had recently moved out and the unit I was renting had a washer and dryer hook-up. I didn't want to deal with having to go to the laundromat and preferred to do my laundry in the comfort of my own home. Now I didn't want to spend a big chunk of money on some new washer and dryer since I had just moved out and had already dished out a couple hundred dollars on some furniture so I was looking for some refurbished/decently used appliances. Also my washer and dryer hook up was outside of my unit and didn't really think the new appliances would do so well being outside. I looked around all over Yelp and decided to go with Jeb's Appliance. Called them in and inquired about the washers and dryers they have and they told me to come in and check out their inventory. I was greeted by Robin at the front door and she's awesome! She knew right away what would fit for my current living situation and recommended a washer and dryer that fit my budget. She also assured me that her son Kyle would deliver the appliance the same day and broke down everything for me, including the warranty and "How to properly" use the washers and dryer. Kyle was spot on with the delivery and made sure everything was working properly with my new washers and dryer. He even went out of his way to check my refrigerator and stove were all working properly. Hands down a super nice and chill guy! My roommates and I decided to buy a washer-dryer after a year of dealing with laundromats, and we're so thankful we found Jeb's Appliance! We visited a couple other used appliance stores in the East Bay that advertised large inventories and lower prices, but after reading hit-or-miss reviews from their customers and walking through rows and rows of machines in various states of disrepair without any guidance from a salesperson, we gave up on those places. Kyle and his mom run a small shop and it looks like he focuses on fixing one to two machines at a time before moving onto others. He does quality repair work, thoroughly cleans the interiors of the machines, and doesn't sell an appliance that he isn't confident in. Kyle followed up by phone with us a few days after we visited his store. We bought a ~10 year old Kenmore top-loading washer and gas dryer matching set. Kyle sold, delivered, and installed the two machines to our ground-unit apartment in Oakland. The machines came with a 90-day warranty, and we've just come on three months of owning them with no issues whatsoever. Kyle even checked some of our other appliances after installing the washer-dryer. He offered advice about storing food in the freezer and scraped build-up off of our gas stove burners, and now they burn way better! Kyle is kind, helpful, honest, easy to communicate with, and a fair businessman and we really appreciated being able to work with him. Sometimes having all 5 star reviews raises suspicion, however if you ever worked with Kyle at Jeb's Appliance, you definitely also provide 5 star rating. I am a property manager and have had Kyle work on appliances at our managed properties but had a power surge on my home taking out range, one week before thanksgiving. Everyone was fully booked, including Kyle. I gave him model number and description of problems. He researched if parts were locally available and explained his experience with this particular model and said parts alone could almost be half the value of this 10+ yo stove, but willing to fix but suggested I consider saving insurance money to purchase a newer model. He spent more than an hour researching parts and calling vendors, even though he was fully swamped, just to tell me to buy new instead of paying him. This is about as honest as you can get in service provider. read more

Absolutely amazing! My dishwasher doesn't drain and they are able to solve the problem over the phone! Hands up for this business with honesty and integrity, which is a gem in nowadays. Long story short, My 3-year-old dishwasher stops draining and water is sitting at the bottom. I first tried to fix it on my own and checked the drain pump, check valve etc but unsuccessful. I also tried the Sears Home Services but that's another very disappointing story.I finally decided to try the local business and it's a big surprise. The staff from Jeb's Appliance, instead of aggressively selling me their services, suggested me to check the air gap over the counter, which turns out to be exactly the reason why it's not draining. The JA team was fantastic! 1) They were able to find a time slot the very next day with short notice. 2) they were able to diagnose the problem by reviewing the video of the clothes dryer problem, without being on site. 3) It took them less than an hour to fix my clothes dryer! 4) The onsite service was impeccable. My gas dryer stopped heating right before we went on vacation. A few friends recommended Jeb's to me so I called this morning and spoke to Robin, she was able to walk me through a few things to troubleshoot/ identify the issue. Wanted to be sure the repair tech would be able to fix it and not have to come back. Last time I had an appliance issue, all the companies I called wanted me to pay a diagnostic fee first, and then the repair. Not only was she able to get someone out same day, but Kyle was AWESOME. Super friendly and professional and reasonable cost! He even gave my 2 cats pets and treats! I can't recommend Jeb's highly enough! Kyle is AHHHMAZZZING! Our tenants' refrigerator suddenly stopped working and neither our tenant or myself knew what was wrong with it, much less how to fix it. I was ready to just scrap the current fridge and have a new one delivered out of frustration, though my husband reminded me that perhaps it could be prepared because it wasn't that old. Kyle was courteous, prompt, timely, professional, helpful and genuinely interested in making sure he did a good job and that the fridge worked properly. What a honest shop, called in to get a appointment for service and was directed by Robin to check breakers first before having someone come out. And she was right it was a bad breaker $15 later new breaker and my dryer works. Thank you so much for your honesty. This is truly a "mom and pop... and son" business! We've used Jeb's Appliance for years with our rentals. They are HONEST, dependable, and easy to reach (rare in today's industry). I called and reached Kyle on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON to ask him about some mold in my washer. He walked me through how to take care of the mold problem and even sent me the name of the solution I needed and told me where to find it. When our old Kitchen Aid fridge stopped making ice, we called our usual repair man. He said the ice maker was fine and that perhaps our water pressure was too low. Okay. He had to repair a hinge on one of the doors anyway, so I'm glad he fixed that. The water pressure seemed ok. I pulled the fridge out of the space, tested the water and it was fine. I wasn't sure why the pressure was lower from the dispenser. On a whim, I called Jeb's to see if I could possibly have them check our fridge, for a second opinion. I was ready to look at new refrigerators already. Robin answered the phone and suggested the first thing I do, before scheduling a service appointment, was change the filter. Of course she asked when the last time we changed it was and I said, never. Make a long story short, that same day, I got a new one at the appliance parts store on East 14th. $43 bucks later, the ice maker and the water dispenser is like new. I can't believe it. Thanks, Robin, so much. I'm not saying our refrigerator is going to last for years and years, but for now, there is a little more life left in our old, discontinued model. I have no idea why our previous repair man didn't even suggest such a simple repair, knowing we need to change the water filter regularly anyway. The indicator light always stayed green, so maybe that's why, but I think he should've asked, like Robin did. Next time we need service, we'll call Jeb's and Kyle and Robin can hopefully help us out. read more

I love this business too!! My oven was not lighting (right before Thanksgiving!); I called them--they told me where to find the hidden manufacturer's label on my 13 year old Bosch stove so I could just take a phone photo of it and send it to them. Kyle came at the right time, with the right part, and fixed it--just like that. Then he removed 19 years of debris from under my refrigerator, guessed that my dryer was squeaking and told me when I would need to get it fixed, showed me where the mold was accumulating in my washer and how to remove it, offered me advice on buying a new dishwasher, and was charming the whole time! My experience is right in line with the other "As good as it gets" reviews preceding mine. - Easy scheduling - Thorough explanation of the situation - Abundant information volunteered even on other appliances I had questions about - Direction on where I might find the hard to find part for my 1992 washer, yes its that old and worked that long but I didn't feel too bad considering the above mentioned explanation. :) With this first impression, I really don't feel too concerned about appliance repair going forward knowing Jeb's is a call away. read more
