My son shops here every few days and he is very happy with the produce, meat, cheese, pasta, bottled waters, soda, and bread selection. Loads of candies and cookies, too. And a fair amount of household cleaning items and things like toilet paper, paper towels, and basic kitchen items. There is a frozen section as well, and you can get pints of really good ice cream, which was a nice treat! We stocked our kid's pantry, fridge, and freezer before we left Česke Budejovice and it came to about 2220 Czech Koruna, or $90 US, which was must less than we would pay in America. We used the hand self check-out twice and the regular check-out on our final big haul, and the checker was so sweet and made jokes with us in English and took great care of us. Well done, CB Albert Supermarket. Your team here is doing a super job and you should be proud of them.

I ordered a salami baguette and a box of 4 pastries for a friend. They packaged it neatly into a white box and tied it together with a cute string. The salami sandwich was delicious. There was a perfect combination of cheese and salami. The wifi was free and very fast. Overall, a very comfortable location, delicious food, and great pastries. It is also very busy with locals, so the locals love it too!

I got back 20-25 years into the time when I was a little boy and my grandmother was preparing this traditional czech dessert (ok, its origin is in Austria but let´s not ruin this moment:-) mainly with apples. And local štrůdl is definitely one of the best which I have eaten since that time. Just to complete all info. Service is very good, and interier is kind a normal. We picked the restaurant right next to the fountain. We ordered local beer and traditional Czech dishes as well as latte. They were all quite nice and very reasonable priced (two entrees, a large local beer and a latte cost 18 euros!) and we got to use the restroom in the basement which was convenient ( otherwise we had to convert euro to Czech currency just to use WC). The outdoor patio was a great place to watch the tourists (many large Asian groups) milling around.The fountain itself was a bit old looking.

The pasta is hand-made; very tasty and slightly chewy (a bit on the harder side, which I personally like). Excellent prosciutto on the pizza and tasty crust (not too thin, but not too thick either). The mixed salad with cheese and olives and the spaghetti bolognese were solid choices as well. We had a very patient and helpful waiter, service was excellent and we left feeling replenished and satisfied!

Interior is very classy but still casual. Very clean, neat and organized- I think couples, single and small groups best for here. Kid ah, maybe if they are well behaved. More a place to be social but people are still working on their laptops because here comes the shocker....they have free wifi!!!! Not many places here do besides hotels so that's a selling point. Their prices are fair for the location, 50 crowns for latte, 35 for espresso and so on. They also have quite a few different brews to choose from-impressive If you're a coffee lover in this small town with not many options. They also have some real food here too so if you get hungry while here don't worry, you don't even have to leave. Think pizza, pasta and steak amount others. All looked delicious. The service could be slow as there was only one person working here and he had to wait on tables, make the orders and also take the take out orders as well. There are many kinds of tea and all of them comes with a huge pot, and the best part is it is only 4 dollars. Czech traditional snack Trdlenik is made to order so it will take about 10-15min. It looks like a doughnut but the texture was more like bread. I did not try their crepes but people seemed to be enjoying them. MLS is a nice cafe to take a rest from walking as they offer reasonably priced food and drinks and there are lots of tables.
