We were looking for a place to ride horses near Tiffin, OH (where the girlfriend is from) and we…read morehappened upon the Triple T Bed and Breakfast, which is closer to Findlay, OH. It's about 2.5 hours from Cleveland and would probably be a decent stopover if you're spending a day or two at Cedar Point. To be honest, it's out in the middle of nowhere; but that's also part of its charm. We got out there the Saturday before Labor Day. Matt Theis, one of the owners was out giving a carriage ride to a bride and groom that had just gotten married. We were more than happy to wait out by the beautiful pool until he got back. We also got a chance to walk out towards the stable. They had 4 beautiful and friendly horses, just waiting to be ridden. We said our hellos and looked around and decided to dip our feet. After a few minutes we were greeted by one of the Theis's daughters, who gave us a nice tour around the place. We also found out that we would be the only guests for the night in the main house! We're not anti-social, but it is nice to have the whole place to yourself. We also found out that the reason we had the place to ourselves is that the B&B had only opened in August of last year. Needless to say, they are on the right track. Later that night, after our own charming ride in a pony cart behind a feller named Chester, we decided to head into the county fair (another reason we were out in the country for the weekend). It was the smaller variety of county fair, but with all the usual varieties of mullets, corn dogs and tractor pulls. Ah, always a good time. We retired that night, full of cotton candy and candy apples, to our really nicely decorated and cozy room. Each bedroom at the B&B has it's own bathroom (something that not all B&Bs have), and it was recently redone with some very nice furnishings and hardware. The bed was a comfortable queen size with some pretty quilts. The satellite TV and free wireless internet satisfied the geek in me that usually is hurting to find an outlet out in the country :). The next morning, we woke up and had breakfast at the pre-determined time. The Theis' were up and ready with some delicious fare. I believe their signature breakfast item is the apple fritter french toast. Wow. As Matt said, try it before you put syrup on it, because it really didn't need anything else. Round that out with some hearty bacon, eggs, toast, fresh peaches and black coffee...well, it doesn't get better than that. After breakfast we had also arranged for a trail ride on some of the horses they keep on the farm. Matt saddled the horses in the barn out by the guest house (also available as lodging) and I took "Sonny" and the gf took "Indy" out for a jaunt. They have about a mile or two of trails throughout their woods and Matt took us riding through them. It was pretty calm the whole way, but the thing that sets the Triple T apart from other trail rides, is they allowed us to ride around in the pasture. Sonny wasn't liking the idea of getting above a slow walk, but Indy got up there. Matt even let me switch to his horse and "Cherokee" flew as soon as I sat down in the saddle. That'll hurt tomorrow. All in all, it was a great day/night. The proprietors couldn't have been nicer, the surroundings were beautiful and secluded and the price was right. We got a "fair" special of 75 per night and paid the usual 25 each for the trail ride. However, if we had been in just about any hotel, it would have likely cost the same, being a holiday weekend (and wouldn't have included a trail ride). I would highly suggest you get out to the country for a weekend and try out the Triple T B&B!

I agree with the previous reviewer; the Triple T B&B is a wonderfully hospitable place, whether…read moretraveling as a single, couple, or with a family (I've traveled there both with a friend and with my family). It is well worth a traveler's consideration, from a value, enjoyment and service perspective.....

She was absolutely sweet, understanding, knowledgeable, and very patient. My two cousins who went with me aren't very experienced riders, and she walked them through everything. Royal Creek has an amazing way of setting up the entire experience. They are really good at pairing the rider with the house -- not easy to do, but very well done. Once you arrive, you meet your "guide" and then are introduced to your horse. I really enjoyed the fact that you have some one on one time with the horse you'll be riding before you actually get on. You get to give your horse a brush down so they get comfortable with you, after that the horses are saddled up, and they take you to an indoor arena to ride around and get comfortable. Your guide will then make sure you're comfortable to take you out to the field where you'll ride around for a while. This was honestly one of the best horseback riding experiences I have had in a long time. Also, their prices are super reasonable. $105 for 3 people for an 1 1/2 hours
